Another first for me - I've never made a St. Patrick's Day card before!! I just got some new stamps from Gina and this little Pot O' Clovers stamp jumped out at me and I HAD to use it!!
I stamped the pot onto watercolor paper (using Palette Hybrid Noir Ink), then watercolored it in using SU!'s Watercolor Wonder Crayons and an AquaPainter. I then used a drop of Old Olive ink and the AP to darken areas of the clovers. To complete the main image I matted it twice (on Close to Cocoa, then Old Olive), distressed the Old Olive CS (using the Cutter Kit from SU!), then added a few holes w/ my paper piercer.
To make the BG I stamped the Paisley BG onto Whisper White CS using Mellow Moss ink THEN ran it through my CuttleBug using the D'vine Swirl A2 embossing folder. After I pulled it out I rubbed some Olive Pastel ink onto it (I really love the cat's eye ink pads for this - their small size and foam pads make it easy to rub the ink onto the raised surfaces).
The sentiment was stamped onto a separate scrap of white CS, trimmed down then sponged w/ More Mustard ink.
To finish the card I added some brown stitched ribbon and mounted the main image onto the card using dimensionals.
