I had some fun with the Pumpkin Patch Embossing Folder that was in the Limited Edition Halloween card kit (which as of posting this there are still some kits left available HERE - but they will be sold out soon! Everything I used is available individually and linked to below).

I used a bunch of the new Distress Halloween Mica Spray Stains - you can check out the sets HERE ------ PLUS the Holiday ones are out now too (and I'm just waiting on mine to arrive b/c y'all KNOW I was going to get them!). I'm back again with another non-limited-edition post and video for y'all lol! This time I wanted to ink up Simon's Butterfly Ranunculus stamp set from their STAMPtember® release on the 1st - if you missed my Release & Review video on that you can find that here:

I am REALLY enjoying coloring with my Karin Brushmarker Pro's lately - if you missed yesterday's post and video using them you can find that here:

EASY Watercolor with Karin Brushmarker Pros | SSS Black Eyed Susans

OK here's the card:

I stamped the florals from the Butterfly Ranunculus set onto Strathmore watercolor paper with Nocturne ink and heat embossed them with Wow's Clear Matt Dull embossing powder. I watercolored them with the Brushmarker Pro's and my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen. 

I ink blended some Distress Oxide inks over Neenah Desert Storm card stock and then ran the panel through my die cut machine with Simon's Geometric Lattice embossing folder. Annnddd added a bunch of splatter with Perfect Pearl powder mixed with water of course.

Hey friends! I created another couple Halloween cards using an embossing folder, some of the NEW Halloween Mica Stains and some Foundry Wax. I am just loving experimenting with sprays and mica sprays and Foundry Wax and whatnot. I did a previous post and video HERE using them if you missed it.

OK here's the newest cards:

I used Simon Says Stamp's Halloween Mandala embossing folder on Distress Watercolor paper. I then used Black Soot, Milled Lavender and Uncharted Mariner Distress Spray Stains, along with Iron Gate, Wicked Elixir and Fortune Teller Mica Stains.

After trimming down the backgrounds I added Black Soot Distress ink around the edges of each panel. I then used Sterling Foundry Wax and applied it over the raised images with my finger and set with a heat tool.

I splattered Fortune Teller Mica Stain on the insides of my cards, and added sentiments from the CZ Design Reverse Halloween sentiment strip pack to the outsides and insides of the cards and that was it!

Oxide Ink Blended Floral | SSS Terrace Floral Embossing Folder and Cutting Die

We have a new Color Throwdown Challenge for y'all:

Here's what I made:

I embossed some Audrey Blue card stock with Simon Says Stamp's Terrace Floral embossing folder and then used the coordinating wafer die that comes with it to die cut and emboss some Distress watercolor paper. I then used Waffle Flower's Shader Brush 0 and Shader Brush 1 brushes and Distress Oxide inks to add color to the die cut.

I stamped the thank you sentiment from the All About You stamp set with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed it with Prize Ribbon Distress Glaze before die cutting it with the coordinating wafer die. The Sunshine card stock was stencilled with the Diagonal Stripe stencil and a bit of Mustard Seed Oxide Ink.

And splatter of course. This time it's Harvest Moon Mica Stain - so shiny.

On the inside of the card I stamped a sentiment and hearts from the All About You set and that was it!

So there's several new Tim Holtz Ranger Halloween products <------click! to check them out! and I ordered the new Halloween Mica Stains Set 3 and Set 4 as soon as they were released. I got sets 1 and 2 last year and loved them (and bought extras) so I knew I'd love these ones and yup, they're amazing.

I decided to create with a couple of them plus other sprays and some Foundry Wax - if you're unfamiliar with that as well I have links to a couple of videos Tim's done that have ALLLL the product info, tips, tricks, inspo etc etc - he literally covers all the things:

So here's the card I made:

I embossed a piece of Distress Watercolor paper with Simon Says Stamp's Tangled Web embossing folder, then used Black Soot and Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stain and Old Paper Distress Oxide Spray over it. I added Wicked Elixir and Decayed Mica Sprays to the mix, then once dry added Gilded Foundry Wax to the raised web.

For my main images and sentiments I used Simon's Toil and Trouble stamp set. I stamped the images onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Intense Black ink and colored them with Copics and added white gel pen highlights. The sentiments were gold heat embossed onto black card stock and I used the coordinating wafer die set to cut everything out.

On the inside of the card I added another image and sentiment from the Toil and Trouble stamp set and that was it!

SSS September 2022 Card Kit Unboxing + 2 Cards!

Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp's September card kit is here and I have an unboxing and 2 cards to share with you all!

You can check out the card kit HERE <-------click! as well as at the links in the supplies at the end of the post!

I took one of the patterned papers from the kit and cut it into 2 pieces then embossed them with the Minted Florals embossing folder. I also used some white pigment ink and rubbed the ink pad directly over the raised impressions - it's subtle but it adds just a little something.

The Happy Birthday sentiment from the Let's Celebrate set that's in the kit was gold heat embossed onto some Strathmore watercolor paper. I used my Karin Brushmarker Pro's, a Clear Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen and a paintbrush to color in all the letters before fussy cutting out the sentiment and popping it onto the card front with foam squares.

On the insides of the cards I stamped sentiments from the Let's Celebrate stamp set with Simon's Peony and Royal inks and that was it!

And now for the latest card:

This one glows in the dark!!

I die cut Simon Says Stamp's Friendly Ghosts wafer dies from smooth white card stock then covered them with clear embossing ink and coated them with Glow in the Dark embossing powder. 

To create the background I ink blended Simon's Cantaloupe and Bubblegum Pawsitively Saturated inks over more smooth white card stock. I then ran the panel through my die cut machine with the Cute Ghosts Embossing Folder - and then added Black Soot Distress Paint splatter of course.

I ink blended the Bubblegum ink onto another piece of card stock and die cut that with the Here for the Boos wafer die.

I blended the 2 inks along the bottom of the inside of the card, and then stamped sentiments from the Spook Up Some Fun stamp set with the same colors. I paired the card with a black envelope and that was it!

As per usual - no set schedule (I try and have tried many many times life always seems to have other plans). However I will always post links to previous posts within each Halloween post so that they're easy to find as I'm jumping around from one theme/genre/etc to the next!

OK on to the cards:

I embossed Ranger watercolor paper using Simon Says Stamp's Tangled Web embossing folder. I then used Nuvo Shimmer Powders to color them, and once dry I used a brayer and white pigment ink to enhance the raised edges of the webs.

The CZ Design Trick or Treat sentiment was die cut from Doll Pink card stock and after stacking and adhering it I coated the words with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen (which you can see the glitter at the end of the video).

On the insides of the cards I stamped the CZ Design Creepy Crawlers Background with Simon's Guava ink. I then added sentiments from the CZ Design Reverse Halloween Sentiment Strips pack and that was it!

I made a fun slimline card with some of the new goodies:

This is a 3.5 x 8.5" Slimline Card.

I used the new Dibble Dot Embossing Folder on white card stock and ran it through twice to get the pattern across this slimline size. The pattern doesn't line up but you can't tell with all the splatter and ice cream elements 😉.

I die cut white card stock using the Ice Cream Scoop and Cone wafer die set and then ink blended on all the pieces with Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks (all the specific colors I used are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of this post). I used the same inks with water and a paintbrush to splatter some color over the embossed background too.

The sentiment is from the new Be You Reverse Sentiment Strips pack, I cut them out and inked the edges with a black marker.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new Big and Bold stamp set with all the same inks I used for the ice cream. Once that was done this card was finished!

Crafty Haul! July 2022

For today's post and video I unboxed Simon's August 2022 Card Kit and made 3 cards with it:

and here's what I made:

I used the Picnic Floral embossing folder that comes in the kit and embossed white card stock, patterned paper from the kit and the rose gold metallic paper from the kit and made 3 cards with them.

I stamped one of the floral images and butterflies from the Vintage Garden stamp set with Simon's Smoke ink and popped those into place with the foam squares from the kit.

I stamped the same images on the insides of the cards and that was it!

Metallic Embossed Butterflies | SSS Beautiful Flowers Take 22

Hey friends! So I decided to combine my all-time-oldie-but-goodie favorite - SSS's Beautiful Flowers set - with a NEW favorite - the Graceful Butterflies Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies - and this was the result:

I KNOW right?!? LOL. I embossed Simon Says Stamp's new Metallic Rose Gold card stock with the Graceful Butterflies folder (it embossed like a dream - LOVE) and then die cut them with the wafer dies that come with.

I stamped the Beautiful Flowers onto white card stock, colored in just the leaves with my Special Black Copic marker, and added splatter of course. The sentiment was die cut using Simon's Thank You Script wafer die.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Beautiful Flowers image with Simon's Pale Blush Pink ink then added one of the embossed butterflies and that was it!

Easy Ink Blended Textured Sunflower Cards | Hello Sunshine

For today's card I used the new Alstroemeria Bunch Folder and Cutting Die:

I embossed the folder onto Simon's Smooth White Card Stock, and with a second panel embossed then die cut with the wafer die that comes with the Alstroemeria Bunch folder. I then used Copics to color in the die cut flower, and added highlights with my favorite white gel pen.

I used the Bold Thanks wafer die (as usual lol) - this time stacking it with pink card stock and the top layer being Simon's White Glossy card stock. I also pulled out my oldie-but-goodie fave - the Etched Dragonfly wafer die and added a dragonfly to the card front as well.

I kept the inside of the card simple and stamped a sentiment from the CZ Design Spring in my Step stamp set with Simon's Peony Pawsitively Saturated Ink and that was it!

Easy Ink Blended Textured Sunflower Cards | Hello Sunshine

For today's cards I used the new Graceful Butterflies Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies:

I embossed and cut the butterflies from Simon's Smooth White card stock and then used Pawsitively Saturated Inks and blending brushes to add color to them. I then used a brayer and white pigment ink on them to pick up and enhance the texture and detail - and then added black splatter ;).

This first combo of Pawsitively Saturated Inks is Surf, Orchid and Sweets.

The second combo of inks was Tropic, Amethyst and Galaxy.

I added some subtle texture to the card fronts by embossing Simon's Tin Tile stencil onto white card stock.

For the sentiments I trimmed out sentiments from Simon's Thinking of You Sentiment Strips pack and that was it!
