OK here we go:

Aren't they fun? Spellbinders sent me their recent Halloween release and of course I had a blast creating with these dies and hot foil plate. 

I used the new Hypnotic Background Glimmer Hot Foil plate on all these cards. I foiled it onto various card stocks, and even some recycled packaging using Gold Glimmer Foil. I THEN used a Solid Hot Foil plate and the "leftover" foil pieces to foil the reverse image of it (which is the card you see above that's basically solid foil). 

For these first 2 cards I used the new Haunted House wafer die set to create my scenes. I then added sentiments from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil set that I'd foiled onto black card stock.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating Boo Dance Party Sentiments set with Nocturne ink and added the little stars with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink.

For the next 2 cards I used the Dancin Ghost die set with more sentiments from the Spooky Greetings hot foil set. I show in the video how the legs swing back and forth on the ghosts - SO cute. 

The second card I foiled the Hypnotic Background onto the recycled packaging and attached it to card stock to make a flat shaker card. So it's foiled AND the legs move AND it's a shaker card. LOVE.

My final 2 cards use the Dancin Mummy wafer die set again with the Hypnotic Background, sentiments from the Spooky Greetings set and insides stamped with sentiments from the Boo Dance Party Sentiments set.

Hey friends!

So my friend Bibiana Cameron <-------click! (I HIGHLY recommend checking out her blog - she makes amazing cards) just released a collection with Spellbinders called Bibi's Butterflies:

Aren't they fabulous? She had Spellbinders send me some of the die sets and while I intended to use all of them for this post I got carried away with the Butterfly Card Creator Etched Die set and made a bunch of cards with it:

The Butterfly Card Creator die set is HUGE - the largest butterfly wafer die in the set measures 5x7". LOVE IT.

I made a butterfly-shaped card with it, and a 5x7 card, and an A2 card and then ended up making two 4-bar cards (3.5 x 5.5") because I made a TON of the flowers and leaves from the set.

This butterfly-shaped card uses the 2 large butterfly wafer dies in the Butterfly Card Creator Die set and makes a 5x7" card.

For all the die cut sentiments on the fronts of the cards I used Spellbinders Simply Perfect Mix and Match Sentiments.

I created a 5x7" card base from Simon's Smooth White card stock, masked off the perimeter and then blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink around it before adhering another large butterfly and all the florals and sentiment.

I used the slightly smaller butterfly from the Butterfly Card Creator die set and adhered it to a white A2-sized card base for this card.

Then since I still had a BUNCH of the florals and greenery die cuts I made 2 more 4-Bar Sized cards. I used the largest butterfly and cut it and the body in half and adhered the halves to each card.

I kept all the insides simple and stamped sentiments from Simon's XL Greetings 2 stamp set with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

Glimmering Hot Foil Peony Watercolored with Distress Oxide Sprays

Hey everyone! I have a couple cards and a video to share with y'all for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I made:

I used Spellbinders Glimmering Peony Hot Foil plate and foiled it with Polished Brass Glimmer Foil onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I then watercolored the images with Distress Oxide Sprays in Rustic Wilderness, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed.

I used the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate set for my sentiments and foiled them onto black card stock. For the card fronts I die cut extra layers with the banner die that comes in the set and stacked them together to give it a little dimension.

When I was experimenting with the Glimmering Peony and the watercolor paper I didn't like how I'd positioned it the first couple of times. Since they still foiled perfectly I fussy cut them out and adhered them to the insides of the cards. I finished them off with another sentiment from the Mini Everyday Sentiments set and added some pink envelopes and that was it!

Spellbinders Noel Cards | AmyR Christmas 2020 Series #11

Hey everyone! After the last couple of posts with Christmas cards in much more traditional colors I really wanted to go NON-traditional again - and this is what I ended up with:

I pulled out Spellbinders Festive Noel wafer die set and paired it with some Tonic Rustic Rose papers (I did an entire Rustic Rose lengthy haul video HERE if you missed it). I LOVE this color combo and the papers and textures with these die cuts just make me happy!

I layered a bunch of the die cuts from the Festive Noel dies and then popped up the letters with a bit of foam tape. I cut down some of Tonic's Peach Parfait Hand Crafted Cotton paper for my card front and matted that with some Concord & 9th Evergreen card stock. I also added several different Nuvo drops in all different finishes (links below to each specific one!).

On the insides of the cards I used Spellbinders To You and Yours stamp set and stamped the Merry Christmas with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and the "to you and yours" with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink. I paired the cards with pink envelopes and that was it!

For today's cards I made a BUNCH. I started foiling and just making more and more and after several sessions over several days (which was all because life and kids etc etc kept interrupting - it happens 😉) I ended up with a bunch of foiled pieces and backgrounds. I had FUN (as I say many times in the video lol!).

My first 2 cards use Spellbinders Spiderweb Background Glimmer Hot Foil set along with sentiments from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil Set. I used multiple colors of Glimmer Hot Foils (all the colors are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of the post) as well as die cut bats and skulls and bling of course.

My next set of cards used the same supplies as above with the addition of the Spellbinders Nested Clipped Squares dies. With these cards I used all the characters from the Spooky Greetings Glimmer Hot Foil set as my main focus. I made 2 A2 cards and 2 slimline (3.5 x 8.5") cards.

My final 3 cards used Spellbinders Sunday Drive wafer dies with the Halloween Sunday Drive Add-on set. I LOVE these dies - there is something so ridiculously cute about that car wafer die and then the Halloween add-on? Perfection.

Making a Christmas Cabinet Card | Spellbinders Becca Feeken Holiday 2019 Release

So for today's cards I wanted to combine Glimmer Hot Foil with watercolor - and it worked out perfectly!

Card on the left is a 3.5 x 8.5" slimline card and the card on the right is A2 sized.

I used Spellbinders Autumn Leaf Border GHF plate and Stylish Script Thankful GHF plate along with the Polished Brass foil from this 4 pack. I foiled the leaves and sentiments onto Arches Hot Press watercolor paper and then watercolored over them with Distress Oxide inks.

I added splatter (of course) and bling (all the colors and also types of bling are listed in the supplies below).

On the outside and inside of the cards I used sentiments from the CZ Design 30 Days of Thankful set. I stamped leaves from that set onto the insides using the same Distress Oxide inks that I used for the watercoloring, and that was it!

Easy Hot Glimmer Foil Slimline Card | Spellbinders Framed Details Glimmer Hot Foil Plate

Hey everyone! I'm back with some fun foiling using Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System. I have a Spellbinders category HERE <------click! on my blog where I keep all my posts archived so you can check out previous projects including more Glimmer Hot Foil cards.

For today's card I (big surprise) wanted to create a slimline card:

This is a 3.5 x 8.5" slimline card.

I used Spellbinders Framed Details Glimmer Hot foil plates - just the "vine" plate in the set (there's a really nice frame plate as well that's meant for an A2 sized card), and some Prism Glimmer Foil. I foiled my card front twice to get the vines foiled across the entire panel. I blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink over it to add some more color. I also used the vines on a teal slimline envelope with the same Prism foil to tie it all together.

I used Silver Glimmer Foil and the thank you sentiment from the Effortless Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil set and die cut it with the coordinating wafer die that comes in the set. I added a companion sentiment using the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil set and the Prism foil on black card stock. Pictures just don't do the foil justice - you can see it a lot better in the video!

I kept the inside of the card simple and just added another panel of the mint card stock that I'd blended with the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

Die Cut & Glimmer Hot Foil Christmas Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #4

Hey everyone!! More Christmas cards and a video!! ❤️

OK on to today's cards:

These cards are ALL die cuts - I started with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Santa's Workshop Set (card on the top left) and created a scene. The other 2 cards were done in the same way but I used dies from the Harvestime and Springtime Snapshots Shapeabilites sets to finish the scenes and mix it up a bit.

I also pulled out my Glimmer Hot Foil System to add some foiled elements. I used the Holiday Sentiments Glimmer plates with Rose Gold Glimmer Foil for the Merry Christmas sentiments. After foiling them I die cut them with the base die from the Santa's Workshop die set.

To pull in more rose gold I used Rose Gold Kraft sheets from the Tim Holtz Metallics set - I die cut different elements of the scene from the Rose Gold Kraft to tie it all together.

All the insides were finished in the same way. I used the Everyday Sentiments II Glimmer Plates and the Rose Gold Glimmer foil for the sentiments, then added the die cuts from the Santa's Workshop set to finish off a mini scene inside each card and that was it!

So for today's cards I made some foiled butterfly thank you cards:

I used the Thank You combo set and Rose Gold Glimmer Foil for the sentiments on grey and navy card stocks.

I then used the Glimmering Butterflies plates and the same Rose Gold Glimmer Hot Foil as well as the sparkling silver and turquoise foils from this Spellbinders multi pack I'd picked up a couple months ago. I foiled a BUNCH of butterflies and then die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies that come in the Glimmering Butterflies set.

I finished off the insides of the cards with another foiled butterfly and that was it!

Making a Christmas Cabinet Card | Spellbinders Becca Feeken Holiday 2019 Release

Hello everyone!! 

I'm hopping along again with Spellbinders as part of the Becca Feeken Holiday Release blog hop! I'll have links to the other stops below as well as giveaway info!

I made my very first cabinet card with the new Holiday Cabinet wafer dies as well as the Reindeer Prancing Wafer Dies that coordinate:

I also went through my envelope stash and had an envelope sized for 5x7 cards that fits a cabinet card like this perfectly. The cabinet card goes flat REALLY easily so it's simple to mail - and it measures about 5x6" when flat.

I used an ivory card stock, and Tonic's Gold Pearl Satin card stock and Turquoise Lake Glitter Card Stocks to make up all the layers of the card.

My only other form of embellishment on the card were some Jade and Gold Crystals from Studio Katia that I adhered to the front panel along with some die cut snowflakes.

To finish off the envelope I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System and the new Hollyday Stationary & Envelope Corner Glimmer Hot Foil Plates. I used those with Gold Glimmer Foil on the envelope - it turned out SO pretty!!

Die Cut & Glimmer Hot Foil Christmas Cards | Spellbinders 2019 Holiday

Ahhhhh happy Monday!! Usually I'm not much of a Monday person (or a morning person...) BUT I'm part of a big, fun, inspiring blog hop using a bunch of new Spellbinders dies AND I had a ton of success with foil! For those that haven't been watching me for a while - I struggle with foil and have yet to really use it on cards. That changed today!

OK first off:

Spellbinders released a bunch of fabulous Christmas sets this season! I was invited to take part in this big blog hop so there's a TON of inspiration as well as GIVEAWAY info at the end of my post!

I ended up making several cards using a few of the new die sets:

First off - I got a Glimmer Hot Foil System - AND I was able to make it work. I have been stockpiling foils and foiling supplies for well over a year now and have either been unsuccessful or intimidated by all things foil. I took a gamble and got this machine because I LOVE the idea of being able to create letterpress foil designs - and because it's supposed to be easy to use.

Well if I can do it anyone can. These Ornament Hot Foil pates were some of my first attempts (the sentiments on the puppy cards were my FIRST first attempt) and they were almost perfect. I used 2 different colors of Glimmer Foils for them and alternated the foiled sentiments. The set also comes with all the dies to create the poinsettias and branches etc so I added those as well.

On the outsides and insides of the cards I stamped snowflakes from the Frozen Fractals stamp set and added a sentiment from the Inside Holiday Greetings set to finish them off.

For the next 2 cards I stencilled over Simon's Pine Bough stencil and stamped the Frozen Fractals snowflakes again. Hanging from the branches is Spellbinders Deck the Halls wafer dies. I die cut and assembled them from red and white card stocks and added the topper, bow and hanger with gold foil card stock. 

I finished off the insides of the cards with the stencilled Pine Bough and another sentiment from the Inside Holiday Greetings set.

Last but not least is the Puppy Christmas cards!! I used Spellbinders Merry Hugs die set (isn't it adorable?!?). I'd foiled sentiments from the Ornament set, as well as a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments hot foil plate onto blue card stock. 

I die cut the puppers glasses from the same goal foil card stock I'd used on the green cards above. The backgrounds were done in the same way - just a Diagonal Stripe stencil and Schoolhouse Red ink this time.

I finished off the inside in the same way - Frozen Fractals snowflakes and a sentiment from the Inside Holiday Greetings and that was it!

Spellbinders Jane Davenport NEW Artomology + Making Faces Blog Hop

Spellbinders was super generous and sent me a bunch of the new products, and I decided to film a "Release & Review" video for y'all so that you could SEE what everything looks like. I'd been checking it out online when it was all first released but like all things it makes more sense when you actually see some of it!

I made a couple of projects with the new products. The first one I was literally just playing around and ended up colouring in the swatch piece that comes with the Silky Skin Color Stick Collection:

I used the Color Sticks with the Blending Sponges, as well as some of the pens and the Silver Screen Pen. The "Queen" and the purple crown are from the new Queen for a Day die set and I adhered those on top and added some details and highlights with a white gel pen.

I also made a couple of clean and simple cards with the Tin of Friends stamps:

I stamped all the images from the set onto scraps of different coloured card stock that I'd trimmed to one inch squares. After they were all stamped I adhered them to white card bases with foam squares.

On the inside of the cards I stamped a sentiment from the Mindful Pause stamp set with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and that was it!
