I hope everyone had a good weekend! We got a TON of snow and wind here on Friday (totally changed all the plans and my schedule and whatnot but such is life!), and I'm still working on my old Mac. I have no new updates as we're waiting on parts to be delivered and are hoping I'll be back up and working on it soon (I really hope so!).
Anywho - here was this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:
You can see what the rest of the team created HERE <------click! and there's still time to play along with this challenge before a new one goes up in a couple of days!
Here's what I made:
I pulled out the new The Ink Road Stamps sets that I received recently and made a fairly quick and simple card with it (barring me spilling things and forgetting to plug in my heat tool and misplacing my adhesive runner......it was one of those days).
I heat embossed the large sentiment from the Chin Up Buttercup stamp set with gold embossing powder onto hot press watercolor paper. I then stamped the flowers (and some dots from the Bloom Where You Are Planted set) along the edges with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
To color in the flowers and dots I used Abandoned Coral and Black Soot Distress Inks with a water brush. The pink card stock panel I stamped with one of the background stamps from the Between the Lines stamp set using white pigment ink.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Bloom Where You Are Planted set onto the inside of the card and stamped the flowers and dots again with black ink.
I finished off the back of the card with a ""handmade by:" stamp from The Inks Road's I Made a Thing stamp set and signed my name with a Uniball Gold pen and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the products have little icons below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. You can hover over the icons and it will tell you what store that link will take you to. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
