I've had this sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks now and kept meaning to try it out and let y'all know what I thought of it. So I finally did and here's the video:
I hope y'all are having a FABULOUS Saturday - I know I am *grin*. Me and my bestie got tickets to the Nickelback concert in May (4 months to wait! :( ) and that TOTALLY made my weekend - their concerts are SO much fun (I've only gone once years ago and it was awesome - every time since tickets have sold out before I could get any) and when they come to Saskatoon they sell out superFAST so I'm PUMPED to have tickets!!
It's funny b/c my hubby and her boyfriend aren't fans so us girls are going to make a night of it and the boys can go do their own thing LOL. Needless to say they're missing out :)
AND Seether, Bush and My Darkest Days are opening. Can y'all tell I'm doing a *happy dance* right now?
LOL
ANYWHO - here's another product review video for y'all. I hope to get some stamping done this weekend (I know I say that *every* weekend - but this one started on a REALLY high note so I hope it can just be awesome and productive all around *grin*) and some new Valentine videos up.
It has been COLD here the past few days. Yesterday and today were well past -45C with the windchill (closer to -50C today) but it's supposed to "warm up" over the next few days so we'll see what happens.
When it gets this cold I don't stamp at all as my stamping area in our rec room just gets too cold to sit in. I'd rather stay wrapped up in blankets on the couch reading a book or watching TV with my hubby. Or wrapped up and posting from my laptop while he plays video games *wink*. Whatever keeps me warm LOL
Anywho I had a lot of questions about this product when I showed it in a recent haul video so here's a quick review of it:
***you can skip down to the dotted line in this post if you don't want to read my chatter *wink****
It feels like it's been FOREVER since I've posted - well I guess it's been just over a week since my last post so it has been a while.
I hope y'all have been doing well.
I took a little "me" time last weekend - my mom took me to the city on Sunday and I splurged a bit on random things (jewellery, makeup, Christmas presents for my kids, etc etc!) and spent over an hour at the new Sephora in Saskatoon. I LOVE Sephora and have been waiting for MONTHS and MONTHS for the Saskatoon location to open (only a little over an hour away!!). Obviously I wasn't the only one - the place was a madhouse and it's been like that pretty much since it opened 2 weeks ago. I'm glad I didn't make the trip in on opening weekend b/c I had people texting and updating me and it was CHAOS. I love makeup but I'm not crazy......lol!
Anywho - I'm super pumped I can finally get my favorite schtuff (somewhat) locally rather than driving to Calgary (5 hours away) or ordering online. I can hopefully space out my purchases a little more and not have to spend as much all at once (not too hard since most of the stuff I wanted was sold out anyway....ah well just means I have to make another trip!).
My birthday was this week (thus the shopping trip) too so I ended up placing an order at ATS for some stamping goodies (which I already mentioned on my Facebook page) so now I just have to wait for that to arrive. Which is kind of nice b/c it always feels like it's my birthday when I get a parcel full of goodies to open!
I DID receive an order from them yesterday that I had placed a couple of weeks ago - in it were some Christmas goodies and stuff I got to make Christmas cards. I'll have the haul video up on that asap.
And yeah it's getting to the end of the month so I need to get my butt in gear and start making some Holiday Cardmaking videos!
I took down all my Halloween stuff *sad face* even though I'd like to make a few more Halloween cards BUT I don't have the space for everything to be out so it all needed to make way for the Christmas/Holiday stuff......
So stay tuned - since this weekend I have time set aside to GET THINGS DONE - which means posts/videos etc etc etc will start going up regularily. And the Holiday Card Series will start SOON!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Things here have been a little depressing the past couple of weeks - several accidents in the area and several deaths. I found out last night that someone local that I went to highschool with passed away after being in a car accident (non-alcohol related) and was on life support these past 2 weeks.
It makes one think - and definitely makes one re-evaluate priorities and family and just life in general.
So that's why it's been quiet on here lately. I had made all these plans to stamp and create over the weekend and it just wasn't happening.
Plus we've had contractors here working on our flooded bathroom and entryway - that was all finally finished last week. So we've been cleaning and putting things away and REALLY enjoying living in a clean house these past several days. The chaos was getting to us all I'm thinking.....
Anywho - I had a lot of requests for this video as a lot of you wanted to know what I thought of the Marvy LePlume Pigmented markers. And no I haven't forgotten about comparing the regular LePlume markers with Copics and the Promarkers - that will come later :o)
I was in the process of updating schtuff on my computer this morning and came across these video files that I've had for MONTHS - so I made them into a quick video and uploaded it:
**NOTE - I am closing the comments to this post on the blog - if you want to enter you have to leave a comment on the YouTube video HERE. That way they're all in one place and it will be easier for me to draw a winner!**
I just saw a comment saying Michael's carries these now as well so if you have one close to you you can go check it out.
Stamping Bella Tool Section (it's still not there but that's where I got it from originally - not sure if it's out of stock or they just aren't selling it anymore?)
First off I am STILL bummed - my CCDesigns March Stamps still haven't arrived - I checked the post office *3* times yesterday and no luck. So frustrating!
However I do have a couple of videos to share.
*side note - thanks to those that suggested different back-up devices for my Mac. I actually already had one I had bought a couple years ago from Costco that never worked with my PC (it's a Dell and I have had SO many issues with programs/printers/back-up hardrives etc etc not working with it!) so I thought I'd try it with my Mac and it worked like a charm. So YAY I was finally able to clean things up a bit and get back into editing/uploading videos!*
First off I got a new punch a couple of weeks ago so I did a review on it:
And SECOND I have had a lot of requests to do more Making a Card videos. Which has presented a bit of a problem for me as it takes me a fair bit of time to make a card. If I'm coloring in an image there's a good chance a card can take about an hour to make - which is WAY too long for a video! Even if I speed it up it's too long. That and I have a pretty random process when making cards - I don't have much of a plan and just go with it and create and see how it all ends up.
So I tried something new with this video. First off I kept the card simple (no coloring!), and I filmed it all start to finish. Then I sped it up and just did a voiceover to explain everything. I know it needs tweaking but once I get the hang of it mebbe I can do more videos like this in the future - we'll see what happens!
I mention it in the video but I filmed this MONTHS ago - always meant to re-do it b/c it goes out of focus which is SO annoying - but #1 I haven't had the time and #2 I HATE having to repeat myself (in high school I HATED doing essays - rough copy, first draft etc etc! It drove me nuts - I started coming up with excuses about losing the drafts and whatnot b/c I detested repeating myself over and over again LOL) - SO here it is with all it's out-of-focus glory (at least the die-cutting part is in focus - otherwise I would have just sucked it up and re-did it all):
And here's the link to the website that I ordered it from - I had a really good experience with her so if you do end up ordering some felt from her be sure and tell her AmyR from Prairie Paper & Ink sent you (I don't get a penny from this - I won't post for profit - in fact they don't know I'm even posting this. When I'm happy with something though I like to share!):
**NOTE** that this site is located in Canada so it's up to you to research and find out shipping costs and whatnot though felt is so lightweight it is usually pretty cheap to have shipped!
