I don't sound AS bad as I have all week, so I finished the voiceover on this video. I'm the host of this week's Color Throwdown challenge and wanted to get my card and video up!!
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.
Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home and provide for my children! I appreciate your support more than words can say! I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
Ugggghhhhhh. Sorry for the lack of videos this week. I am dealing with bronchitis and my voice is practically non-existent. I filmed the video for today's post a few days ago but it's taking me longer to do everything as I'm pretty tired. Trying to rest and recuperate isn't easy when there's 5 kids lol! I'm getting there though - and it's also nowhere NEAR as bad as it was back before Christmas (I actually ended up with slight permanent hearing damage in one ear from that bout of sickness - it was rough). So at least there's that!!
Anywho - I was sent Studio Katia's March/April Release (I am honestly not sure when this was released but somewhat recently - and of course right now I'm rather foggy on all details) and filmed a Release & Review as I get a lot of requests. PLUS there's a big give-away (worth over $200!) at the end of the post!

Now for the GIVEAWAY!!!
I have a collection of brand new + gently used Studio Katia stamps, wafer dies, stencil and embellishments worth over $200 to give to one of you!
To be entered all you need to do is follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below (please make sure you're using a current e-mail address that you check frequently (I don't keep/see any person info other than the winner's e-mail address) as that's what I use to contact the winner!).
I haven't been feeling well the last few days - so this post is late and I'm more behind (as per usual it seems lol). However I'm not feeling as crappy as I was (yay!) so I finally got this post done and video edited for y'all!
Pastel, heat embossed, flat sparkly Christmas cards anyone?? I pulled out 4 different Simon Says Stamp background stamps and heat embossed each one using a different color of Tonic's Nuvo embossing powder onto SSS's Fog card stock.
After they were all embossed I die cut them with Simon's largest Stitched Rectangle wafer die, and adhered them to white card bases.
I die cut the Happy Christmas sentiments from white card stock, then pressed them into clear embossing ink and added the Nuvo Shimmering Pearl embossing powder to them. It gives them a little bit of sparkle - but of course I had to bling 'em up even more and added some Studio Katia sequins and ice crystals (finally used those - I've been hoarding them for a while lol).
All the little sentiments on the outside and insides of the cards are from Simon's Tiny Words Christmas stamp set. I stamped them all onto white and Fog card stock then die cut them with Simon's Sentiment Label wafer dies before adhering them all on/in the cards.
I'm excited to be a Guest Designer this month for Tonic as they celebrate Nuvember!! I'll have a few posts throughout the month along with a bunch of other fabulous designers showcasing a bunch of Tonic's Nuvo line. If you don't follow Tonic on Instagram you can check out their feed HERE <-------click!

I'm part of a blog hop today to celebrate Studio Katia's September release! Speaking of - if you missed my previous post about Studio Katia's exclusive STAMPtember® set you can check that out here:
OK now on to the Studio Katia September 2018 Release Blog Hop!
If you didn't get here from Amanda's blog you can start at the beginning of the hop HERE at the Studio Katia blog! I'll have links to all the stops today (this is a 2 day hop!) near the end of the post as well as giveaway info!
This is a 4.25" square card.
I created this fun shaker card using the new Spider Web wafer die along with the coordinating Spider Web Stencil (seriously LOVE how well these work together!) and paired them with these cute monsters from the Monster Bash stamp set!
I stamped the monsters onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink then coloured them in with Copic markers. I added highlights with a white gel pen before die cutting them with their coordinating wafer dies.
I die cut the spider web from black card stock, and used the Spider Web stencil to sponge white ink over it. I then die cut the web from some black glitter card stock that I adhered to the transparency.
I finished off the inside of the card with the little frame that's left over when die cutting the spider web, and added a sentiment and another monster from the Monster Bash stamp set and that was it!

You can check out their post HERE for all the info. There's also a giveaway here on my blog for a Studio Katia $25 gift certificate! All you need to do to enter is follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below! (make sure you're using a current e-mail address that you check frequently (I don't keep/see any person info other than the winner's e-mail address) as that's what I use to contact the winner!).
Also there's a category on Simon Says Stamp for ALL the STAMPtember® exclusives HERE <-----click! Like previous STAMPtember® collaboration sets - these are exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and while supplies last. Once they're sold out and/or STAMPtember® is over they're gone!
I heat embossed the image onto watercolor paper using Simon's Antique Gold embossing powder, and then watercolored it with AlteNew's watercolors.
I used Studio Katia's Dotted Patterns Set 1 wafer dies to cut out the main image, and stamped one of the sentiments from the Fresh Bunch set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
The background was created with Oxide inks and Studio Katia's Brush Stroke Waves stencil - I thought it created a woodgrain sort of pattern!
On the inside of the card I stamped the floral image again - this time with Tumbled Glass Distress ink, then stamped another sentiment from the set with black ink and that was it!

Ahhhhhh Monday is almost over - it's been a hectic start to the week for me and I'm just glad the day is almost done!
As it seems to be the norm lately - it's taken me a couple of days to get this video edited and uploaded!
Like I mention in the video - I've had these Studio Katia stamps and dies sitting on my desk for weeks now LOL! I finally cleared things off and got to making the card that's been forming in my head while the stamps sat here just itching to be inked up!
I stamped the bear and balloon and gift images from Studio Katia's Kobi Bearing Gifts stamp set using GinaK Amalgam ink onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock. I coloured them in with Copics, then coated the balloons and gifts with Tonics Glitter Gloss pen before adding white highlights.
To make this a "flat" shaker card I die cut white card stock with the Halftone Dots Cover wafer die, backed it with an acetate sheet, then sandwiched in Studio Katia's Chunky and Chunky Dots glitters between another piece of acetate. That way the glitter and confetti can shake and move around but are mostly suspended behind the die cut dots, rather than falling to the bottom. And it's mostly flat!
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the Kobi bear from the Kobi the Birthday Bear stamp set and colouring him with the same markers used on the front of the card. I added a balloon and a heat embossed sentiment and that was it!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all are having a good weekend so far!
I had SO MUCH FUN making this card!! This Studio Katia Mermaid For Each Other stamp set is the cutest thing EVER - and the Seashell Shaker wafer die is adorable!!
I was inspired by the SK Rainbow Fusion Sequins (one of my all-time favourite sequin mixes) for all my colors on this card. I stamped the images onto Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White card stock with Ink on 3's Blackout ink and coloured them all in with Copic markers:
I used the Seashell Shaker wafer die to create my shaker window, and used Distress Oxide inks to sponge the color onto the inner pieces of the seashell - using the remaining pieces on the inside of the card:

Now for the GIVEAWAY!!
One lucky person is going to win everything pictured above! All you have to do to be entered is to follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below (make sure you're using a current e-mail address that you check frequently (I don't keep/see any person info other than the winner's e-mail address) as that's what I use to contact the winner!).
So many people have asked if there's a difference between Lawn Fawn's Glow in the Dark embossing powder and WOW's Glow in the Dark embossing powder. So I made a card using both - and they're the exact same. In this pic the one on the left (LF) looks brighter but that's only because I had held it in the light for longer than the other piece before going into a dark room and snapping a pic!
So I used a couple of those glow in the dark heat embossed spinners to create this fun card. I had stamped the spinners onto SSS Audrey Blue card stock with Hero Arts white Unicorn pigment ink then heat embossed them with the Lawn Fawn and WOW Glow in the Dark embossing powders. After die cutting them with their coordinating dies I coloured them in with a couple of Tonic Nuvo Aqua Flow pens and COVERED them with glitter using Nuvo's Glitter Gloss brush pen.
I also used the glow in the dark embossing powders on the card front panel with the spinner images. I used white embossing powder for the motion lines and circles, and after embossing sponged on three different colors of Distress Oxide inks.
I show in the video how I die cut small circles into the card front, then use a couple MFT Spin & Slide Discs to enable the spinners to actually spin on the card.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the spinners with the same Oxide inks and added a white heat embossed sentiment from the Spin-tastic set and that was it!

What are your favourite items from this release? I obviously love the new Lovely Blooms stamps but the other stamp sets are all so much fun - the theme of them and the style is beyond adorable. And one can never have too many Studio Katia sequins/confetti/jewels - my magpie tendencies go into overdrive with all of them!!

Hello everyone!! I'm SO excited to be participating in Day 1 of 2 days of hops for Studio Katia's May release and to celebrate their second anniversary! Stay tuned throughout the post as there's hop info and links and giveaway info at the end as well!
So the May release just went live and it is fabulous:
I wanted to play with EVERYTHING right off the bat - but the new Lovely Blooms stamp set was beckoning LOL! Rather than just make one card I decided to make a bunch all at once and use my Nuvo Shimmer Powders some more:
I heat embossed the large floral cluster with white embossing powder onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I then sprinkled on the powders and sprayed with water. Every single one turned out completely different and I just love the randomness of all of them!
For these first 2 cards I ended up fussy cutting around 2 of the clusters. On my white card stock bases I used the new Brush Stroke Waves Stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glitter paste. After that was all dry I adhered the floral cluster and the heat embossed sentiment with SSS foam tape. I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the flowers with Distress Oxide inks and the sentiment in black.
For my next 2 cards I die cut the dry panels with a large stitched rectangle die and adhered with the foam tape to my card bases. I used 2 of the new monthly Studio Katia Crystals sets to embellish (she releases a new color collection each month! I can't wait to see what they are each month - these crystal packs are GORGEOUS) my cards. The die cut "thanks" is from the Giving Thanks coordinating die set - I used white glitter paper and vellum for the thanks and white heat embossed the "so much!" onto black card stock.
My last 2 cards are similar to the previous 2 - I just adhered them to the card bases in portrait orientation and added a different heat embossed sentiment.
I was somewhat able to capture the shimmer of the powders - in real life you can see the shimmer and sparkle better! Also note - people have been commenting about having difficulties with these shimmer powders and them "not sticking" to the paper or rubbing off after. Make sure you're using enough water! If any of the powder is left unactivated with water - it WILL come off/not stick (it's just powder after all). It's why I'm rather heavy handed with the water when using these - I've had no issues with any of it coming off after!

I pulled out Studio Katia's Spring Bouquet stamp set and white heat embossed it onto Arteza water-colour paper. I then used Arteza Real Brush Pens and a waterbrush to colour them in.
I used Studio Katia's Best Ever stamp set and coordinating die set to create the sentiment, and of course embellished with a bunch of Studio Katia jewels 💎.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the flower cluster with yellow ink and the sentiment with grey ink and that was it!

Hello everyone! I have another Easter card for y'all:
I used the new Studio Katia Floral Cross stamp set and combined it with some Bo Bunny 6x6 patterned paper that I showed in a recent haul video.
I white heat embossed the floral cross image onto Distress Watercolor card stock then used one of my Daniel Smith dot charts and a water brush to color it in.
I then die cut the image as well as the frames with Studio Katia's Dotted Patterns Set 2 wafer dies, and die cut the vellum banner with one of the dies from the same set.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the floral cross image with light purple ink and that was it!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend! We took the kids sledding at a big hill close by since we still have a TON of snow here (it's FINALLY starting to melt!) and that wore me out (still loads of fun). We also searched high and low for a very specific screwdriver that Chris needs to take apart my laptop (lots of you have been asking for updates). I ended up having to order it online (I'm not surprised Apple would invent a completely different sort of screwdriver to make it more difficult for people to fix things themselves etc), once it arrives Chris can take it apart so that he can confirm the part(s) we need before I spend all the $$ ordering them (they're expensive so it's worth taking the time and extra steps to be sure). So far my old Mac is holding up to me editing and uploading videos on it - they just take longer on my end.
I finally got a little bit of quiet time today though so I was able to get this Studio Katia March 2018 Release & Review video filmed and edited! I already made one card so far with this release - you can check that out here if you missed it:
You can watch in HD over on YouTube HERE <------click!

It's FINALLY Friday!! This has felt like the longest week ever. Thankfully my kids are feeling better, and since it's almost the weekend there will hopefully be time for us to get the tools we need to take apart my laptop to confirm the hard drive and whatnot that we need to order (for those unaware my laptop crashed last week and I lost a ton of video footage. It's my bread & butter that machine - I edit all my videos and photos and do ALL my work on it. Losing that has been rather devastating and just a tad stressful to say the least). My old Mac has been holding up OK in the meantime so I'm still able to get work done!!
There's a bunch of fabulous designers participating in these hops to give a ton of inspiration with the new products. If you didn't get here from Tracy's blog you can start at the beginning HERE <------click!
Here's what I made with some of the new products:
I was really inspired by the new Satin Rainbow Confetti mix - so I used the new Confetti Stencil on my card base and sponged on a bunch of different Distress ink Colors. Without removing the stencil I added Tonic's Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste - so they're sparkly confetti to boot!
I REALLY didn't want to cover any of the card base - so I heat embossed the Confetti Kindness stamp onto some Judikins embossable window plastic and die cut it with a circle wafer die. I then used the larger of the new Fancy Circle wafer dies to create my frame, adhered the sentiment to it and made it into a shaker. I added a bunch of the new Sparkling Stars Chunky Glitter to the shaker, and adhered a bunch of the Iridescent Clear Crystals to the frame. In real life this card is ALLLLL bling!
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the new Label Messages stamp set, and stamped the little confetti/starburst images from the Confetti Kindness stamp set with those same Distress Inks and that was it!
