I feel like I'm running around in circles LOL! I *REALLY* want to get a few more Halloween cards/videos done over the next little while before jumping in to all the Christmas and Holiday stuff - I did 13 last year and 13 the year before so my OCD is getting a little twitchy at the possibility of not hitting that this year LOL!
Here's hoping I can squeeze 'em all in!
Now for today's card:
I am LOVING the Wise Dies Paper Smooches keeps releasing for their older sets - I say it in the video too about how it just enables me to stamp more as things are "cut out for me". I have to run them through my Big Shot yes but that's WAY faster than trimming by hand.
Can't not have some bling ;)
And here's the inside:
You can watch the video below to see how I made this card:
I have to admit this card is my favorite so far - it just came together so well and I had SO much fun making it LOL! I have a soft spot for Paper Smooches stamps - they just crack me up and if I had it my way I'd own every single set AND die as well - the dies have really done me in. Between those and my patterned paper addiction I'm gonna be in the poor house yet!
Speaking of patterned paper - I posted a haul yesterday in case you missed it. And if you've missed any of my previous Halloween videos you can find them all at the links below:
I mentioned in the haul video that I'm fighting off getting sick - and I still am! I don't know if you can hear it in my voice in the video or not. Sometimes when I talk for too long I start sounding "scratchy". That's one of the nice things about being at home and not working full time right now - b/c the way I've been feeling my voice would have been long gone by now. *Fingers crossed* I can keep fending it off - I don't have time to get sick right now LOL!
Now on to the card:
See??? SO fun. AND I used my washi tape!
I've never had a problem trimming out images with scissors but I WAY prefer having the matching dies - so much faster and perfect all the way around.
To see how I made this card check out the video below:
I actually have a CARDmaking video for y'all today :). Technically it's not a "just stamped" card - I made it a few months ago for my hubby's birthday - but I never posted it so it's still new to all of you!
I had the files on my computer so I thought it'd be perfect for me to use to start off with as I venture back in to stamping/videos/editing/etc - and I'm glad I did. I'm pretty rusty at it all LOL - it took WAY longer to edit and voiceover and all that - my brain just had a hard time remembering everything I used to do out of habit ;).
Also my little 7 week old (7 weeks! Time is flying :() munchkin can be heard pretty much through the whole thing - she was in the studio with me in her swing and the microphone picked up all her noises and hiccups throughout my voiceover. Rather than waiting till I had some "quiet time" (which is likely never to happen lol) I just left it as is.
Anywho on to the card:
To see how I made this card check out the following video:
It's a good thing I filmed a few cards a couple months ago before we moved all my stamp stuff and started the renovations - other than one card (which I never filmed and ended up with horrible pictures of b/c I was in a rush) I haven't stamped a thing! :( Life's just been too hectic lately.
Anywho I had made this birthday card for a friend of my daughter's and am pretty pleased with how it turned out!
With the gift card inside it (that inspired the color combo):
I haven't made any new cards in over a week - and not sure when I'll get the chance to :(. I mentioned in my earlier post that we've moved all my stamp stuff out of the room it was in and I'm still trying to get used to dealing with less than 1/2 the space I had. Even though it's only temporary 'till we get all the renovations done with my expanding size (I swear I knock into everything already LOL) and having WAY less space to work in I'm finding it rather difficult to make it all work!
Thankfully I still have a few video files on hand of cards I've made a while ago and just haven't had the time to edit and upload - this being one of them.
If you missed my other birthday cards I've posted this year so far you can find them here:
I was SO pleased with how this card turned out. It was just one of those times that everything "clicked" and came out exactly how I was picturing it in my head *grin*.
I hope y'all had a good weekend - I got back late Sunday night and spent most of Monday on the couch I was so exhausted. It was a good weekend though, we got a LOT accomplished.
Anywho - I wanted to get this quick little haul video posted. I DID finally get an Easter card made but I just need to find the time to get it all edited and uploaded - hopefully ASAP.
I had originally meant to post one more final St. Patty's Day card here but I got sidetracked and then saw the latest Paper Smooches Sparks challenge and had to play along.
So here's a quick and simple spring "any theme" card for y'all!
If you missed the previous cards in the series so far you can find them all here:
Happy Monday everyone ;) After being so productive on Saturday I didn't do much of anything yesterday other than *really* sleep in for once - that and visit a friend that just had a baby girl a week ago :). It was so fun to cuddle a newborn (and for once not have to wonder if I'll ever have another one LOL) and I had fun making a custom baby card too (which will be posted in the coming weeks).
Anywho - other than that I did pretty much nothing yesterday - just took it easy and re-charged. So then today I had to sit down and make another card - this was one of those "late night ideas that I should write down" but didn't then of course forgot about. Surprisingly though I actually DID remember it when I started rifling through my stamp sets.
Before I post the card in case you missed any of my previous Valentine Card Videos you can find them all here:
Yup I'm on a bit of a roll. I actually made TWO cards today - this being the first one. And I was enjoying it so much I completely forgot about the soup I'd made from scratch for supper and let it boil dry on the stove *shakes head at self*. I was so absorbed in what I was doing I completely forgot to check on it and turn down the heat.
So I made a quick run to the store after the kids got home from school to get what I needed to make said soup (and strawberries while I was at it - I've been eating those like crazy lately LOL - normally I only buy them when they're on sale b/c we pay dearly for them this time of year but even though I wrecked a batch of soup I think I deserve them ;)), quickly chopped and prepped AGAIN - and this time didn't forget about it.
While I did that I forgot to turn off my camera and the battery died - so I had to re-charge the battery before I could take the pics of said cards. I swear if it's not one thing it's another. And it's just going to keep getting worse :P.
Lately I've been walking into certain rooms on a mission then forgetting why I was there in the first place...my poor hubby has to put up with me calling him constantly with every random thing b/c otherwise I'll forget it 5 minutes later. LOL I'm a mess.
ANYWHO - I am quite happy though that I've been able to stamp and have a bit of fun. And if you've missed them you can check out the previous 2 cards here:
All the links above are to the previoius cards *just in case* you missed any ;)
SOOOO glad it's Friday! It's also my birthday - I had all sorts of plans to do some sort of "30 before 30" or life list or goodness knows what - but that didn't happen. I'm obviously not a huge planner and am ALWAYS flying by the seat of my pants and why would my last year of my 20s be any different? *wink*
Anywho I need to make this quick as I had a CRAZY week, a CRAZY day, and need to pack b/c my hubby is whisking me away for the weekend to go shopping (I actually plan on getting a bunch of Christmas shopping done this weekend *ducks*!!) and see a movie (or two - I haven't been to the theatre in ages - and both of us really enjoy geeking out at the movies), and hitting up my home-away-from-home --- IKEA.
So yeah I'm pretty excited and I need to pack!
Anywho back to the card. I made this earlier this week and just haven't had the time to edit/upload etc etc etc and it was killing me b/c I thought it turned out SO cute and fun and I've been dying to use these stamps and paper together:
Didn't it turn out cute? LOL

Key Tag Punch - Stampin' Up! - also discontinued (ppl have been getting them off e-bay!)
Someone else I know just had a baby recently and this time it was a girl - seems like lately everyone I know is having boys! So I had fun making a girly baby card for the new parents :)
.
If you missed my other baby card videos/posts you can find them here:
This one I whipped up in literally 10-15 minutes. I was running WAY late and needed a card to go with a gift. A friend of mine had just closed the deal on their very first home so of course I needed to help them celebrate!
I had a gift ready but at the last minute realized I didn't have a single card on hand that would "work" with this type of occasion - so I whipped this one up:
I pulled out my Paper Smooches Vogue Abode stamp set and proceeded to create a little living room scene.
I paper pieced the chair, lamp, and vase and stamped the "rug" with Memento Ladybug ink.
All the coloring was done with Prismacolor pencils. I didn't do any blending b/c I didn't have time!
The sentiments are from my Congrats Sentiments set - they were PERFECT for this card ;)
The card base was kept simple - a few strips of patterned paper on a white card base. I did the same thing on the inside (which I forgot to take a picture of - I *was* in a hurry).
Then I popped up my "scene" on dimensionals and that was it.
Oh and FYI if you don't get the ATS newsletter - this was in this weeks:
"All That Scraps is moving over 600 miles from Tennessee to Kansas. We are having a moving sale. Once we get to our new home we will be stocking all the new yummy stuff from Summer CHA!
Use code: move to receive 15% off your order, excludes C.C. Designs July release. If an item is already discounted, the system will take the additional 15% off.
I needed to whip up a couple of cards to include in my end of the year teacher's gifts - so I thought I'd film them while I was at it and post them here.
Since they don't really "fit" into any specific "series" category that I have right now I just put them under my "Making a Card" series.
