Hello everyone!! So I haven't posted much the last week - I've been fighting bronchitis and this past week has been the worst of it. However I've been on meds and doc-ordered rest and sloooowwwwllllyyyy working to get "caught up" (which never seems to happen with me lol).
However - I have new releases sitting here and anyone who knows me knows I just have a need to post my Release & Review videos before diving in and creating things. I have the MFT one for now, I'll have Honey Bee's coming ASAP and Simon Says Stamp had a new release that I'm waiting to show up! Woot!
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.

Hello everyone!! It is CRAZY to think that we're almost at 2020!! Stay tuned as I have more videos coming after this one!! I wanted to get this posted tho as I had planned to have it go up at the release earlier this month but December has been just a tad chaotic:
What caught your eye (or what did you already get?) from this release? I seriously love the Birdie Brown Magical Friends stamps and coordinating dies but the Zippy Zebras still just crack me up lol! Of course I also love the Rose Garden set (y'all know my soft spot for anything large floral stamp...) I am at a loss as to what to ink up first...

It has been crazy - so much random drama. As usual my plans to post a ton of videos for y'all were thwarted HOWEVER stay tuned - I have this one up now and plenty more coming over the holidays!
SO - I needed a gift for a friend and booze is always a good idea. Instead of getting a bottle of wine I went a little fancy and got her a bottle of Aviation Gin (AKA the gin company owned by Ryan Reynolds - the ads he does for it alone are worth it IMO LOL!). I wasn't going to give her JUST the gin tho - I needed to personalize it a bit:
The sentiment is from MFT's Sassy Pants Holiday set - it's one of my favorite sets. I gold heat embossed it on white card stock and popped it onto the card with more foam tape.

If you missed any of my previous Christmas projects this year you can find them all below!!
Hello everyone!! I'm back with another Christmas card (multiple cards plus tags!) for my series! If you've missed any that I've posted so far you can find 'em all at the links below:
I used My Favorite Things Festive Friends stamp set and stamped all the images onto Copic friendly card stock (Linked below) and coloured them in with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Die-namics set to die cut all the images and then set to building all the little scenes for the cards and tags.
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.

I used My Favorite Things Spooktacular Stamp set with the coordinating wafer dies as my main images. And I didn't color them. Crazy right? Hear me out: I wanted to keep the images simple, plus focus on the backgrounds I made. Plus lets be honest: I was in the beginning stages of the chest cold and my nose was running so much that it was horrible trying to do anything (like a bunch of colouring) with my head tilted downwards b/c well.....it's just gross LOL!!
Really though - I sometimes like not colouring in line images - ones like these have so much great detail to them already that they can get away with it. IMO anyway.
I finished off the insides of the cards with more patterned paper strips and sentiments from the Spooktacular Friends set, and then stamped the same images and pumpkins and that was it!

I stamped all the images from the Fairy-Tale Friends set onto Bristol Smooth card stock with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and clear heat embossed with with Inkon3's clear embossing powder. For the colouring I used Tombow Dual Brush pens, a water brush and Inkon3's Liquid Pixie Dust.
For the second card I used the masks and Oxide ink again to create the background, and on both cards I splattered the Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust. I die cut the panel with one of MFT's Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die-namics before popping it on to the card with Simon's Big Momma Foam Tape.
I used the leftover "frame" from the die cut rectangle and adhered it to the inside of the card. On the inside of that card and the back of the pop-up card I adhered sentiments I'd white heat embossed and a couple of the remaining unicorns and that was it!

And then got this video edited and uploaded! I made an interactive card (yay me lol) which I don't do very often - this one turned out so cute and once I got it all figured out in my head it will be SO easy to make more like this:
When making a pop-up card like this the bonus to it is that when it's folded flat it easily fits into an A2 envelope and isn't any more bulky (in fact it's usually less bulky as there's no foam dimension etc) than a regular card. You CAN do this in different orientations and different sizes you just need to fiddle a bit - but again once you've done it once it comes to gather a LOT easily and making adjustments doesn't seem as daunting (to me anyway! It's why I usually avoid interactive cards).
So to make this a pop-up wiper card I used MFT's Pop-Up Wiper Die-namics. You can easily make the mechanism without a wafer die but one - I like the convenience and two - there is a long (8.5") grass wafer die and long wave die in the set that I REALLY like. I used the wave one for this card obviously but it would be so cute to make a scene with the grass one and have critters or butterflies or something popping up!
I inked up the Birdie Brown Friends with Fins stamp set and coloured them all in with Copic markers. After highlighting them with my favorite white gel pen I die cut them with the coordinating Die-namics set. I also used one of the little wave dies in that set to die cut the wave for the narwhal to be popping out of.
I finished the "inside" AKA the back of the card since there is no inside with this kind by adhering the remaining Friends with Fins images and stamping another sentiment from the set and that was it!

Monday?!? Like I mention in my video today, June is just a crazy month for me. SO much going on and with my kids getting older there's more and more end-of-the-school-year things going on than ever before. I feel like I'm running behind to the extreme more than just my regular "always behind" lolol!!
Anywho - My Favorite Things had another great release this month! I've had it sitting here and then had a chance over the weekend when ALL the kids were quiet (rare - so rare - I should have taken a nap and REALLY savoured it lol) so I quickly filmed this Release & Review video:

If you missed it don't forget about my big haul and giveaway I posted yesterday!
Hey everyone!! I am finally sounding better (and feeling better - still not 100% back to normal but I'm WAY better than I was) and wanted to make some cards with some of MFT's newest release! In case you missed it you can check out their May release HERE <-------click!
I created 2 backgrounds using several Distress Oxide Sprays on water-colour paper. I die cut them using various dies from the Watermelon Slice set, and die cut the seeds from Tonic's Black Velvet Satin card stock (they look like the real deal in real life!).

Hello everyone!! Can't believe it's Thursday already - keep checking in here on my blog as I have a LOT going on over the next couple of days on here LOL!
Now for a fun and EASY interactive card using some of the new stamps and Die-namics!
My card starts off as a simple gate-fold card made from Kraft card stock. I created a wrap with patterned paper and used the new Polaroid Shaker Frame Die-namics, and paired it with one of the images from the new Picture Perfect stamp set (animals taking selfies? Yes please).
I kept the outside of the card simple as the real show is on the inside of the card:
I used the new Shutter Card Components Die-namics to make a movable "shutter" that opens as the sides of the card are opened - and it reveals the selfie-taking hamsters in full color. SO. CUTE. AMIRIGHT?
I don't "do" many interactive cards - I just am not a fan if it takes a ton of thought and effort (my mind is always on a million other things constantly lol). This however was super easy to put together - and the result is so fun. I highly recommend trying one out!

Ahhhhh Monday......I have SO much catching up to do after having a pretty rough week last week. I have had MFT's March release sitting here all month just begging to get inky and creative with.
Of course I gravitated towards the large floral (lol I think I've made my attraction to large floral stamps fairly obvious by now) as it's too pretty not to pass up and is so perfect for colouring:
I white heat embossed the Fresh-Cut Flowers Background onto Bee watercolor paper and then used my Prima Pastel Dreams palette to watercolor in the flowers and background.
I white heat embossed a sentiment from the new Anything-But-Basic Encouragement stamp set onto vellum and wrapped it around my watercolor panel before adhering it to the card base. I also used the new Nuvo Dream Drops on the card - these are SOOOOO pretty in real life, AND they are a duo chrome - meaning they look completely different on light and on dark card stock (I show swatches in the video).
On the inside of the card I stamped the Fresh-Cut Flowers again - this time with Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. For the sentiment I white heat embossed it onto vellum, then ran the sentiment strip through my little Xyron X sticker marker to put adhesive all over the back of it. That way I could press it into place and no adhesive actually shows.

OK this post and video took most of last week. SO. MANY. ISSUES lol. When you get to the point where you've already invested a ton of time and effort (at least to my thinking) then one just has to stay determined but 3 days of editing and fiddling and re-starting when things crash etc etc make for a frustrating time!
However - the editing was finally accomplished - probably doesn't help that in spite of my efforts the video is still 20 mins long lol!! But these cards were a LOT of fun to create - from the backgrounds to the images:
I created sparkly sky backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks over Simon Says Stamp's white card stock. After sponging on the ink I added white splatter then coated the backgrounds with Shimmer Sheer Sparkle Spray - I show in the video just how sparkly they are!
I used the new City Bock Die-namics for the city scape - they totally finished off the scenes for these cards!
All the critters and images are from 2 of My Favorite Things newest sets - Super Cat and Super Dog. I couldn't decide on which set to use so I used both and created 2 cards. I stamped all the images onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with MFT's Extreme Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers. I added a bunch of sparkle to the images using Tonic's Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Shimmer pen. After that was dry I added highlights with a white gel pen and used my Black Glaze pen for all the critters noses and eyes.
I finished off the insides of the cards with more critters and more sentiments and that was it!

So I have another love-themed card to share with y'all - again not specifically Valentine's but it could be if you wanted it to:
I LOVE the Birdie Brown line from My Favorite Things. LOVE. IT. All the images are adorable and I have been collecting all of them since Torico started designing them lol!
So this Cute Chemists set is adorable - and I love that there's a boy and a girl image and you could use either/or and make them for so many different occasions!! I used both and went with a love/Valentine/anniversary theme b/c I thought it would be really cute!
I stamped the images from the set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with MFT's Extreme Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers. I added highlights with a white gel pen and filled in their glasses with Nuvo Crystal Glaze so they're slightly raised and shiny.
The background was inked with Distress inks and splattered with water and Distress Ink refills. I also added some Studio Katia Iridescent Hearts and Clear Droplets to finish off my scene.
I finished off the inside of the card with more images and a sentiment from the Cute Chemists set and that was it!

Hello everyone! So I was right in my last post - we did get a ton of snow here and the cold isn't letting up any time soon. I hope everyone in the vortex zones are keeping safe and warm!
I need to get a ton of thank you cards made (I think Thank You cards are something I make the most of) - so instead of making one of this card I made several:
I have all of My Favorite Things recent Valentine/Love-themed products and while I love making Valentine cards (I don't know why - I just really enjoy making them!) I don't NEED a ton of Valentines. However - combining Valentine/Love and Thank You works pretty well and in this case worked out perfectly.
I started off with the Pure Innocence So Much Love and stamped them onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80lb card stock with MFT's Extreme Black Ink. I coloured them all in with Copics, using different combos for all the skin tones (I include the specific numbers in the video). I paper-pieced all their dresses using papers from the Sweet Stack 6x6 paper pack - aren't their dresses cute?
The stencilled background was done with Distress Oxide inks and the Lots of Heart Stencil. I then pulled out an oldie-but-goodie set from MFT - Grateful For You with the coordinating Die-namics die. I used that for the sentiments on the front and on the inside:
I also blended the Oxide inks onto the envelopes to tie everything together.
