Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. I finally got the last of my Q&A videos edited and uploaded so here it is - and if you missed the first 2 parts you can find them linked below:
OK folks here's the first of my Question & Answer videos. If y'all remember I did a giveaway last month and had people ask questions for me to answer as I've had a lot of these questions asked over the last few weeks/months so I got them all in one spot, wrote them all down and answered them all!
Talking about the affiliate links in the beginning of the video - not all the links I use are affiliates - but the ones that are, as well as the small banner ads in my sidebar all help support me and my munchkins at no cost to you. When you watch the ads that roll before my YouTube videos, or click on the links/banner ads and then place an order I get a kickback (which varies - it's small but it ads up - the actual logistics of it all I'm a little fuzzy on LOL!). I have had a lot of people ask if I do my blog/You Tube full time (that's actually a question in one of the upcoming Q&A videos I think), and while I do put a LOT of time and effort into it (I spend more time at my computer with a huge cup of coffee that I need to give the computer a name I'm thinking - we're in that sort of relationship it seems LOL) - as of right now it's nowhere near enough to live on. It basically helps fund what I'm already doing here on my blog and on YouTube, and helps with some of my bills and whatnot.
I never used to talk about any of this on here as it was just not that big of a deal - it was something that went on behind the scenes that helped out here and there with random crafty purchases etc. Now with the major changes in my life and the fact that I'm a single mom of 4 I've decided to try giving this whole blogging/YouTube thing a HUGE effort (because with 2 of the 4 being several years away from being able to attend school it makes no sense to get a job outside of the home as I'd be paying more for child care than what I make - trust me I've run those numbers and they're depressing). We shall see where it all goes!
I will say I have really been enjoying my crafty mojo coming back in full force, and creating and sharing so much more frequently with y'all here. My hope is to keep up this pace to a degree - though again to be honest with y'all it is a LOT of time and effort. We'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out over the next several weeks/months!
I can't end this post without saying THANK YOU to all of you for your support. I so very much appreciate y'all visiting me here in my little corner of the interwebs, and all the likes/thumbs up/comments/questions/support have been wonderful. I always say paper crafters make the best community of hobbyists - 99% of them are amazing (and we'll just not talk about the 1% LOL). I've really been enjoying all the interaction on here, on YouTube, my Facebook page and whatever other Social Media accounts I'm on (I forget some days - they're all linked under my profile picture at the top of the sidebar here on the right). You guys are the best!! ((((hugs))))
It's me again! I was taking a little bit of time to straighten up my desk and almost knocked over my pile of colouring books. If anything 2015 was the year of adult colouring books - they're EVERYWHERE. I held out for the longest time b/c I honestly felt that (for me) they were rather pointless. I color on a regular basis just with my card making so why get a colouring book?
But then the Johanna Basford ones caught my eye and the collecting started *wink*. I own all but the Lost Ocean book now, and just yesterday got my hands on the calendar b/c it was on clearance. I got one for my oldest daughter who wanted one for herself, and a Frozen calendar for K b/c hello - it's Frozen (my other monkey got a Minion calendar for Christmas LOL so the other 2 were feeling left out). So they were on clearance plus buy 2 get one free - so I walked away with another thing to color and yeah bets are already being placed that I won't be able to keep up with it.
Anywho I've had people asking me about my opinion on them all and I suppose I could do a quick YouTube video to show if there's enough interest? I have 2 of the colouring books, the calendar and I recently got the Artist Edition colouring book which is pretty sweet.
So that's my 2016 goal (one of them anyway) - to take a little time here and there to just color for the heck of it. We'll see if I can pull it off...
I am having a hard time believing 2015 is almost over! This year has been crazy (for me - to put it mildly LOL), and yet here it is and we've got just over a day left before 2016 hits.
Anywho - I got SO many fabulous cards and a couple of gifts in my post office box this month. It's been so fun to go get the mail and find all these gems in there. It was a great mail month!
Hello everyone! I have had quite a few people asking me to do an update on my Erin Condren planner - so I filmed that along with a couple random little updates. You can check out the video below:
Also like I mention in the video if you're reading this on my blog feel free to leave any questions you'd like answered in the comment section of this post and I'll compile them all and answer them at some point in the near future!
Now for the giveaway - I'm going to give 3 of the $50 Erin Condren gift cards away here in this blog post - follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below in order to be entered in to win! (this is open Internationally - since I'm e-mailing the GC code and EC ships internationally this contest is open to everyone)
The 4th $50 gift card I'm going to give away on my Prairie Paper & Ink Facebook page - I JUST got to 5000 followers on there so it seemed rather fitting to do a giveaway over there too.
I've included a link to the planner, and to my FAVOURITE pens for it below. I forgot to mention these pens in the video, but I've mentioned them in previous planner videos - and I loooooovvveeee them. They're the only ones I use in my planner and I guess it's the one way I "decorate" in my planner because I like to write things in different colors so that I can see them easily and keep track. And they genuinely erase which is beyond cool (to me anyway - I remember the "erasable" pens I used to have way back when and they were garbage and shredded paper lol).
Like I say in the video - thank you ALL so very much for visiting my corner of the internet, for taking the time to visit me here on my blog (and any of my other Social Media - they're all linked there on the right below my profile pic in the sidebar), and for those that leave comments and whatnot. I do what I do because I genuinely enjoy it (crafting is great therapy!) and because it helps with the bills and putting food on the table for me and my 4 munchkins. I'd do it all regardless in some capacity but it's a MUCH more enjoyable experience because of all of you! I wish I could do more and larger giveaways to show my appreciation - but who knows maybe some day I'll be able to! It's all about paying it forward in whatever way possible in my opinion.
So THANK YOU! And Merry Merry Christmas! I plan on getting more cards made and videos done ASAP so stay tuned! ;) :)
Hey everyone :). Just a quick random Life Update video - not a whole lot to report on at the moment - it's been a matter of one day at a time. I have people e-mailing and commenting asking how things are and if we're all doing OK if I go too long between Life Update videos though (which I thank you all for your concern - the support and kindness is VERY much appreciated!!) so here's the latest:
I mention my AmyR Stamps line is retiring at the end of this month - you can see what's left here (only a couple sets are still available and they are deeply discounted).
Hey everyone! Total non-stamping related post for today - I get a lot of people asking when I'll post another Life Update video, asking how things are going, etc etc etc. I don't know when I'll do another Life Update video as of right now - it's more the timing and having a LOT on my plate right now than anything.
However on Monday I hauled all 4 kiddo's to the city for a grocery run. I am still impressed with myself that I managed to fit all 4 of them in the car and not only survive Costco at Christmastime (why that place turns into chaos and brings out the worst in people at this time of year I'll never know LOL!), but I managed to fit everything in the trunk of my car along with a double stroller - THAT was an interesting feat LOL! I literally was hanging halfway out of the trunk trying to arrange everything to fit with a lineup of cars behind me waiting to take my parking spot. I had to take apart my stroller just to make it all fit (or else have to go back in and return the toilet paper lolol) but I made it work. I'm sure the people waiting for my spot had some entertainment watching me tetris it all in there (total life skill playing that game on the Nintendo when I was little - I knew someday it would come in handy!).
Anywho - after surviving that I took the kids to the mall for a treat at Starbucks (they love it as much as I do - but we only go as a treat every once in a while - I just have to keep a close watch on K when we get anything from there b/c any unattended cup gets demolished by her and too much sugar/caffeine for a 2 year old and well.....y'all can imagine), and after we went and got pics with Santa. I didn't plan it out ahead of time (outfits and all that jazz - I was just hoping to make it to the city and back in one piece with my sanity intact) plus it's always a hit and a miss as the lineups can be insane for this one. He's the BEST Santa - no fake beard here:
Katelyn was having NOTHING to do with Santa this year - she took one look at him and headed the other way. The only way to get her in the picture was to be in it myself and hold her on my lap - even then she wasn't impressed. Gavin LOVED Santa (doesn't look like it in the pic but the cameraman kept shaking bells to try and cheer up K and Gavin's expression pretty much speaks as to how he felt about that LOL), and couldn't resist grabbing onto his beard after - so wish I had pics of that! Oh well - Merry Christmas from me and my munchkins!
I'll be back soon with another card - maybe a video too - we'll see! ;) :)
Well to be honest with y'all I wasn't expecting to get any mail at all when I posted my mailing address a couple of weeks ago (or at least not get anything so quickly!). It is SO rare that I get cards in the mail I just never expect it! But 3 have shown up so far (and one more just showed up today so I'll save that for the next video) and I wanted to show them off and share them with y'all because each one totally made my day :).
I hope y'all are having a good week so far! I'll hopefully have some cards and maybe a video or two up this week - I've been super busy (as usual) and downright exhausted but there are some creative ideas brewing *wink*.
Anywho - I've had a lot of you ask for my mailing address. Some ideas have been tossed around from y'all about wanting to send cards and whatnot - whether just to me personally, or for me to show on YouTube etc. I thought I may as well post my mailing address and we'll see where it goes LOL!
If I do get enough cards I can post a "Happy Mail Haul Video" (to whomever gave me that idea make sure to leave a comment so I can credit you LOL! It was perfect) maybe once a month or every other month - we'll see! *Note - if you do send a card make sure to include your "handle" - AKA your username on (if you have one) for YouTube/Instagram/whatever - if you want! You don't HAVE to do that but if you'd like me to mention it I totally will - that plus there are several of you that I've been getting to know more and more lately and I recognize a lot of those usernames (I'm horrible with names - always have been - but I try and I tend to recognize usernames after a while).

I'm off to finish my morning coffee - I'm at the point now where I can hardly function without it first thing in the morning *wink*. Have a fabulous day!! :) :) :)
Hello everyone! It's been a while (as usual) since I've posted. Life is still a crazy balancing act but I'm getting there with trying to find more time to post on here and do videos!
I got this one done anyway after multiple attempts - so frustrating LOL! But now it's done so here is another random ramble from me:
As I mention in the video - my AmyR Stamps line is being discontinued as of the end of this year. The whole line of stamps (as of posting this there are 59 stamp sets available!) is on sale for 33% off right now!
Last but not least if you're visiting my actual blog page (and not just viewing through a reader) you'll see my new look - literally LOL! I updated my profile pic to a much more recent one and had my whole color scheme re-worked to a much more "me in 2015" sort of scheme. It makes me happy and a nice way to freshen things up!
So that's it for now and like I said in the video hopefully I'll be back SOON with some card making videos!!
Hello everyone! It's been a lonnnggg time since I posted any sort of video I know! I can't believe summer is almost over and my oldest munchkins are headed back to school soon. Time has been FLYING by and I'm still trying to figure out what on earth I'm doing LOL!
*also here's the link to the MFTv card making video I mention in my video:
I sat down and filmed a Life Update video yesterday - in my usual rambling way of course. I tend to just go on and on - like I would if I were sitting and chatting with a friend. I apologize for my voice this time around though as I am STILL getting over a nasty cold - I've had it for over a week now and it's completely messed up my voice. Not to mention it's been physically draining - I just want to sleep.
Also in this video I talk about my weightless and some of my "fitness goals" (which right now amount to me wanting to have more endurance/stamina LOL so that I can keep up with 4 kids) which I do get a lot of interest in. So when this opportunity to try out a new-to-me product plus do a giveaway I thought why not? I've included links to these cards on Amazon if you're interested, as well as links to my Fitbit and whatnot.
And now I'm remembering who else I wanted to thank and mention - SimonSaysStamp and Craftsy. Those are 2 more companies (there are more out there that are amazing but I'm referring to ones I personally shop with/work with and that have been so amazingly supportive of me!) that deserve a big thank you from me. They've been very patient and supportive of me while I figure out my life now and try to juggle 4 kids and life in general!
And now for the giveaway! If you're interested in these Strength Stack 52 Cards here is a chance to try them out for free! I have one full set to give away (open to Canadian and US residents) to one lucky commenter - just follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget to be entered in to win:
Hello everyone! I am TRYING to get back into posting on her on a (hopefully) regular basis - starting off with this Life Planner unboxing and a giveaway:
I got the newest Erin Condren Life Planner just the other day and since I had some extra referral $$ saved up I had enough for a giveaway and thought I'd share the new planner in a video then do a giveaway on here!
You can watch the video directly on YouTube HERE <-----click!
To be entered in to the giveaway (it's open to everyone!) just follow the instructions in the RaffleCopter widget and you're good to go. Good luck! :) :) :)
**Congrats to Tammie B on winning! And thank you ALL so very much for commenting and entering. I really appreciate all the support. Hopefully I'll be able to do another giveaway soon!**
