OK on to my cards:

I REAALLLLYYYY love how Simon's Glitz Glitter Gels look on black card stock. They're so vibrant!! I paired them with the new Dimensional Stars Stencil set to create these fun rainbow of stars on my card fronts.

I used the Paper Hugs wafer die for the sentiments and coated them with my Clear Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen to make all the sentiments sparkly.

On the inside panel I used several Pawsitively Saturated Inks and a brayer to get this fab rainbow of colors over the XL Stacked Greetings Sentiment. SO fun.

Sunflower Petals w Distress Spray Stain + Oxide Sprays

Hey friends. This week's Color Throwdown Challenge is live now:

Here's what I made:

I sprayed pieces of Canson XL watercolor paper with various Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Sprays. Once everything was dry I die cut the pieces using Simon Says Stamp's Sunflower Petals wafer die and the leaves with the Detailed Rose wafer die set.

I heat embossed the new Soft Plaid Background onto some Soft Navy card stock using Prize Ribbon Distress Embossing Glaze, and then die cut it with a Basic Rectangle wafer die and Nested Domed Arches wafer die.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Soft Plaid Background using Fog ink, then stamped sentiments from the Missing You stamp set with Fossilized Amber, Hickory Smoke and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks and that was it!

Emboss Resist Shimmer Backgrounds | Nuvo Shimmer Powders

Hey friends! I have another set of cards and a video for y'all using some of the new Happy and Joyful Simon Says Stamp release and my Nuvo Shimmer Powders. If you missed my previous video using a different set with these powders you can find that here:

Large Florals and NO Coloring?!? | SSS Celebrate Rose Corner Take 2

Now on to the latest cards:

I clear heat embossed the new Flower Frenzy Background stamp onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I did that twice and then taped the panels onto a hardboard before sprinkling on 3 different colors of Nuvo Shimmer Powder: Lunar Rocket, Lilac Waterfall and Atlantis Burst. 

After spraying the backgrounds liberally with water I left them to dry and these were the end results:

I used the Simply Thank You wafer die and die cut the words from Audrey Blue card stock and then coated the top layer with my clear Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen. The heat embossed sentiment is from the new Missing You stamp set.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Flower Frenzy Background stamp with Simon's Fog ink then stamped another sentiment from the Missing You stamp set with Doll Pink ink and that was it!

Hey friends! Simon Says Stamp's May '22 Card Kit showed up:

I stamped a bunch of the images from the Brushed Florals stamp set onto Canson XL watercolor paper using Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I then sprayed the panels with water to make the inks move and dried it with my heat tool.

After they were dry I splattered the panels with Perfect Pearl Powder mixed with water, and then splattered Black Soot Distress Paint.

I stamped the oval sentiment from the Brushed Flowers set onto smooth white card stock with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

On the insides of the cards I stamped sentiments and images from the Brushed Flowers stamp set, then paired the cards with Metallic Doll Pink envelopes and that was it!

I couldn't resist making more cards with the new Celebrate Rose Corner stamp set. I posted with that set earlier here if you missed it:

Black, Gold & White Cards | EASY to Mass Produce!

For these cards I pulled out a bunch of my Nuvo Shimmer Powders - I haven't used them in forever and they are SO fun to work with (I have a playlist here on YouTube with a bunch of videos I've done over the years using them):

These are 5x7" Cards.

I white heat embossed the big floral stamp from the Celebrate Rose Corner stamp set onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I was originally only going to make one card but I was having so much fun I ended up making 3 lol!

On my first card I used Falling Leaves, Maroon Spark and Sunray Crosette Shimmer Powders. I show in the video how I sprinkle the powders over the image and spray with water. That's it. NO coloring at all. And LOOK at the result!!! Big floral images like this are so perfect for this technique as it gives plenty of areas for the colors to well up with all the water and then they dry and look all amazing and shimmery.

For this card I used Jade Fountain, Lilac Waterfall and Cherry Bomb Shimmer Powders.

On this last card I used Jade Fountain, Green Parade, Sunray Crosette and Solar Flare Shimmer Powders.

On all 3 cards I white heat embossed a sentiment from the new XL Stacked Greetings stamp set on vellum and die cut with the coordinating wafer die before adhering to the floral panel with Craft Tacky Glue.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the floral from the Celebrate Rose Corner set with Simon's Fog ink, then stamped another sentiment from the XL Stacked Greetings set with Nocturne ink and that was it!

Of course I am a big fan of all the fabulous large florals in this release. I had a hard time deciding what to start with but of course went with the BIGGEST floral set lol - the new Celebrate Rose Corner stamp set:

I also couldn't resist doing my fave black, white and gold color combo for these cards. It's especially nice if you're one who doesn't like to color or if you don't have time to color in a large image. Something like this comes together quickly and you can easily mass produce them if needed!

I gold heat embossed the big floral from the Celebrate Rose Corner stamp set onto Simon's black card stock. I then die cut it using the coordinating wafer die. I gold heat embossed one of the sentiments from the set and then stamped the "hugs" from the set with Nocturne ink.

Annnnddd of course I added some gold splatter using my Kuretake Brilliant Gold Mica Ink.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the floral with Goldenlocks ink and paired the cards with gold envelopes and that was it!

Sunshine of Hope Mini Slimline Card

Hello friends! After a couple of crazy weeks dealing with one crazy thing after another I'm back with videos! 

I missed being able to participate in the Support Ukraine Blog Hop that happened earlier this month but you all can check it out HERE for info and inspiration. The stamp set that Studio Katia released for it is donating 100% of net proceeds from the sale of the set to the Save the Children Organization in support of Ukrainian children. I also did a blog post HERE that has some info and a link to places for donating - but I am personally loving how so many of my fellow crafters and crafty companies have been stepping up to help and support and do whatever they can! 

I used the Sunshine of Hope stamp set to make this mini slimline card:

This is a 3 1/8 x 6 1/4" Mini Slimline Card.

I stamped the sunflower from the Sunshine of Hope stamp set onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and clear heat embossed it. I then used several of Simon Says Stamp's Pawsitively Saturated Inks to watercolor it.

I used Studio Katia's Spring Pastels Polka Slimline patterned paper for the card front, die cutting both the patterned paper and the watercolor panel using Simon's Mini Slimline Rectangles wafer dies. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Sunshine of Hope set onto a piece of vellum that I wrapped around the front panel before adhering it.

On the inside of the card I stamped the sunflower with Simon's Sunbeam ink and stamped another sentiment from the Sunshine of Hope set and that was it!

Faux Foil Butterfly Hugs Card | Nuvo Glacier Paste

Hello friends! I have been buried in taxes and paperwork and a million other things the last couple of weeks. But now most of it's taken care of and I can get back to posting videos for y'all!

I made this card and video for last week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I created:

I created an ink smooshed background using Twisted Citron and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks. I then mixed Bronze Medal and Golden Era Nuvo Glacier Paste and applied it over Simon Says Stamp's Tin Tile stencil. I also used the paste mixture on card stock that I die cut with the body of the Etched Butterfly wafer die and the CZ Design Hugs wafer die.

I die cut vellum using the Etched Butterfly wafer die - LOVE the look of the wings in vellum!

On the inside of the card Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink was blended over the Tin Type Stencil. A sentiment from the Spring In My Step stamp set was stamped with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink to finish it off.

Foiled Black & White Cards | Waffle Flower Hot Foil Plates

I used the new Organic Floral Hot Foil plate with gold Glimmer foil and my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system to create this fabulous backgrounds on Simon's Black Glossy card stock and Hammermill white card stock. 

I used the Oversized Hello Hot Foil plate to create this HUGE Hello sentiment on the Black Glossy card stock then die cut it with the Oversized Hello wafer die. 

For this one I used the Oversized Hello wafer die and die cut it from Simon's White Glossy card stock. 

On the insides of the cards I used the Organic Floral stamp set and stamped the background with Simon's Goldenlocks ink. The companion sentiments are from the Oversized Hello stamp set and that finished them off!

Garden Boots Card | Watercolor with Pawsitively Saturated Inks

Hey friends! I have another card and video to share with y'all using Simon Says Stamp's Pawsitively Saturated Inks:

I used the inks in 4 different ways on this card. First off I created an ink smooshed background using Seafoam and Surf inks. Once that was dry I mixed some Ocean ink with Transparent Gloss Texture Paste and applied it over Simon's Raindrops stencil. I sprinkled on some Unicorn Dust Confetti and Unicorn Dust Glitter while the paste was still wet to give it some extra bling.

I used several colors of the Pawsitively Saturated Inks to watercolor in these rainboot images from the Garden Boots stamp set. LOVE this set. It just screams spring and I LOVE the font for the sentiments too.

I did add some Aqua Shimmer Clear Glitter Gloss to the boots as I was watercoloring them (which you can see much better in the video) so they're SPARKLY boots. Who doesn't love glittery rubber boots?

The final way I used the inks on this card was a simple ink blend using the Seafoam ink over the Raindrops stencil on the inside of the card and that was it!

Easy Oxide Ink Smooshing | SSS Etched Layered Daisy Take 2

Hello friends! I have a card and video to share with y'all for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I made:

I had some fun playing around with Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Oxide inks making this. I didn't use any stamps on this card - just wafer dies, a stencil and a pack of sentiment strips.

I sprayed Antique Linen and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Sprays onto some Canson XL watercolor paper and did them in layers with water to create a soft, splattery background.

I then used Simon's Fanfare Stencil with crackle paste on the background (if you missed my previous post using this stencil for a COMPLETELY different look you can check that out HERE).

For the main floral I ink smooshed more Oxide inks, then die cut the pieces with Simon's Etched Layered Daisy wafer die, and the greenery with the new Tattered Leaves wafer die.

On the inside of the card I used the Fanfare stencil again - this time on Cream card stock with Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink. The sentiments are from the CZ Design Foundations Sentiment Strip pack. After I'd trimmed them out I added Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink to the pieces to soften them a bit and adhered them into place and that was it!

Mother's Day Tulips | Second Attempt with Pigment Deco Brush Markers

Hey friends! I'm hoping to be posting a BUNCH of videos over the next few days. I've been super behind on editing and tech issues (what else is new 🤪) but I'm powering through!

I am just LOVING Simon's Mother's Day Tulips stamp set - y'all know I love me some big floral images and these tulips are HUGE. I made slimline cards recently using the set - if you missed that post you can find it here:

Distress Ink Watercolor Slimline Tulips Cards

This is what I made with it this time:

This is a 5x7" card.

I white heat embossed the tulips on a piece of Ranger Matte Black Alcohol Ink card stock. I then pulled out my Karin Pigment DecoBrush Markers to color it in. I did a previous card using these markers here:

First Attempt with Pigment Deco Brush Markers | AmyR 2022 Valentine's Card Series #3

I used the new Fancy Mom wafer die and Simon's Assorted Holographic card stock for the main sentiment, and the Mother's Day Sentiment Strip pack (that I tinted with a Copic marker) for a companion sentiment.

On the inside of the card I stamped the tulips with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Mother's Day Tulips set with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink and that was it!

Rainbow Glitter Paste Stencilled Cards

Hello friends!

I decided it was high time I finally USED my set of Rainbow Mini Glitz Glitter Gels from Simon Says Stamp lol. I've had them "on display" since they were released - so I took them down and opened them up. And now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner because they are FABULOUS:

I applied all the colors of the Glitz Glitter Gels over Simon's new Fanfare Stencil and black card stock. These gels look AMAZING over black card stock. 

I used the You're On My Heart wafer die for the main sentiment, stacking it with black card stock and topping it with Simon's Matte Gold Mirror card stock.

I lined the insides of the cards with a piece of white card stock that I stencilled Simon's Goldenlocks ink over the Fanfare Stencil. The stamped sentiments are from the CZ Design Spring In My Step stamp set and that finished them off!

EASY Mini Slimline Bunny Card | SSS Picture Book Wafer Dies

Hello friends! Today's video is a short and sweet one. I made a quick and simple mini slimline card using ONLY die cuts for last week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

You can check out what the rest of the team created with these colors HERE <-----click! and there's still a little bit of time left to play along - or at the very least check out what everyone else made too as there's always a bunch of inspiration!

Here's what I created:

This is a 3.5 x 6.5" Mini Slimline Card.

I pulled out some of my Simon Says Stamp Picture Book wafer dies - specifically the Big Picture Book Bunny and Big Picture Book Small Body for this card. I have an entire playlist on YouTube HERE using Simon's Picture Book wafer dies. 

I used Simon's Carrot wafer die of course - making the bunny hold it. I created a little scene using the Grassy Edges wafer dies and the Flickering Butterflies wafer die. I also pulled out the Mini Flowers & Leaves wafer dies and created a little daisy chain "crown" for the bunny with them.

I added another die cut carrot to the inside of the card and paired it with one of Simon's Orange Peel Mini Slimline envelopes. I didn't use ANY sentiments on the outside or inside of the card. I was planning to and then decided to keep them off and let the card be open-ended depending on who I send it to or what for (and you can always add a sentiment before sending it off!).

Drippy Watercolor with SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks

Hey friends! So I pulled out the new Mom's Spring Flowers stamp set b/c I am in LOVE with the large floral image in it. I made a card and video using it here if you missed it:

Watercolor with Distress Oxide Inks | Happy Spring Card

I mentioned in that video how I was thinking about "drippy watercolor" and I couldn't get it out of my head so I made this:

This time I used Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks for the watercoloring. I genuinely LOVE these inks - all I want is more colors lol! 

I stamped the big floral from the Mom's Spring Flowers set onto some Canson XL watercolor paper using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I then used several of the Pawsitively Saturated Inks to watercolor with. I also used my Clear Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen while watercoloring so the florals are glittery as well (which never shows up in photos - you can see it in the video).

Splatter was added (of course) with white gouache and Perfect Pearl Powder. The sentiment is from the new CZ Design Spring In My Step stamp set and I gold heat embossed it onto the watercolor panel after everything was dry.

On the inside of the card I stamped the big floral with Simon's Cantaloupe ink and then stamped another sentiment from the Spring In My Step stamp set and that was it!
