8 Doodlebug Halloween Cards | AmyR Halloween 2019 Video #9

Hey everyone!! So I made use of the Doodlebug Halloween goodies I showed y'all in my last haul video and made a bunch of cards with them:

I used Doodlebug's Trick or Treat stamp set and coordinating dies and Happy Halloween stamp set and coordinating dies for all the cards. I stamped all the images from both sets onto Bristol Smooth card stock and embossed them with detail black embossing powder. To color in all the images I used my Tombow Dual Brush markers and a detail waterbrush.

On the insides of the cards I used both the Doodlebug Candy Carnival Mini Icons and Icons card stock stickers to embellish them.

Of course I used the Candy Carnival 6x6 patterned papers, as well as the Candy Carnival Odds & Ends die cuts for all the "background" elements to create the scenes on the cards.

All the sentiments from both stamp sets were white heat embossed onto black card stock and either trimmed out with my paper trimmer or die cut with various dies (linked below) and that was it!

Fuzzy Die-Cut Panda Cards | Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Panda

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend!

Now here are a couple of cards I made with elements from the kit:

In the kit are 2 packages of ThermoWeb Flock sheets - a black package and a white package (there are other colors available here too!). I die cut them with the Picture Book Panda wafer die and adhered them directly to copy paper.

Isn't he so cute and fuzzy? I added some Doodlebug/Simon Says Stamp Shape Sprinkles to them to make their eyes more goofy and I just love it.

I used sentiments from the Party Like a Panda stamp set that comes in the kit (that one I die cut with one of Simon's Nested Talk Bubbles Wafer Dies) as well as a thank you sentiment from the new Greetings Mix 1 set.

I finished off the insides of the cards with strips of the same patterned papers I used on the front and stamped another sentiment from the Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Picket Fence Studios Rose Bouquet with Distress Reinker Watercolor

Happy Friday!!!! 

Today's post is part of a nearly month long series to celebrate Picket Fence Studios first birthday!! I've been a fan of their stamps and dies and ermagerd their Life Changing Blender Brushes really ARE life changing. I use them all the time and they've made a MASSIVE difference - I reach for my inks to do quick blended backgrounds way more often now that I have those brushes. 

Anywho - I have a card and video to share AND a big giveaway too!!

I used Picket Fence's Rose Bouquet stamp set and gold heat embossed it onto water-colour paper. I then watercolored it with Distress Ink Re-inkers in really bright colors. I was inspired by the patterned papers from Doodlebug's Hello 6x6 pack - yes I used some patterned paper again!!

I added some gold splatter using one of my FineTec palettes (this Prima palette is a good cheaper alternative just FYI!).

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping a sentiment from Picket Fence's Forgot To Say Thank You stamp set and gold heat embossing it. I then stamped the roses with Distress Archival ink in Picked Raspberry and that was it!

Pretzel Birthday Wishes Card

It's Thursday already? I hope everyone in the super cold areas is doing OK and keeping warm! Today was a tad warmer for us here but it's supposed to go back to deep freeze (plus a ton of snow) temps tomorrow and last for who knows how long.

Here's what I made:

I've had the Simon Says Stamp Pretzel wafer die sitting here for MONTHS now - and after using the Fries wafer die on a Valentine's card (you can see that post HERE if you missed it) I decided it was high time to make a pretzel-themed card lol!

I die cut the pretzels, sponged the edges with ink then added little dots of Tonic Nuvo Gloss White Crystal Drops. While the drops were still wet I sprinkled over Rock Candy Distress Glitter to give them a "salt" look.

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the pretzel images from the I Chews You stamp set (I used that set for the sentiments on the front as well) with Simon's Khaki ink and that was it!

OK on to today's card:

I've had this Fries wafer die from Simon Says Stamp for months now - then the other day was looking through my CZ Design sets and noticed the sentiment that said "like French Fries" in the Love You Like set. PERFECT.

I die cut the fries from yellow card stock multiple times, then added SSS Sunshine ink to them with one of my Picket Fence Studios blending brushes. 

I used CZ Design Love You wafer die for the main part of the sentiment, then white heat embossed the stamped sentiment onto black card stock.

I also used some of my DoodleBug patterned paper - this one sheet from the So Much Pun pack is perfect with all of this (and I think was the inspiration behind the Fries wafer die - SSS and DB pair up at times to create some super adorable products). I die cut the paper with a circle wafer die and used that to "frame" the fries.

I finished off the inside of the card with another sentiment from the Love You Like stamp set and that was it!

Now for card #3:

I have had Simon Says Stamp's So Pun Friends stamp set sitting beside my desk for MONTHS now - and so many requests to make cards with it. I thought for the Valentine series so many of the stamps were beyond perfect - and I couldn't resist starting with the sloth!

I used Copics to color him in and my white Gelly Roll pen to add the highlights. The sentiments, speech bubble and banner images are all from the So Pun Friends set too. 

For my background I combined the Windows to My Heart wafer die with DoodleBug's Dot Stripe patterned paper and used the lily white Floral Graph paper to back it.

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the sloth in Stone ink and adding a few of the die cut hearts that were left over and that was it!

Paper Pieced Cat Sweaters Card | AmyR 2018 Christmas Card Series #11

Hey everyone! I'm back with another card! And if you look close you'll see the big oops I did with it:

Do you see what it is?

How about now:

It's subtle..... I adhered the red heart patterned paper upside down 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ LOL!! 

I COULD try to reposition it - it's all attached with foam tape, and if you use dental floss held taught and wiggle it between the foam tape and the paper you can sometimes get it apart. But then I'd have to do that to all the images and embellishments and sentiment too and I am just going to chalk it up to be being too excited and having too much fun making this card LOL!

I used Simon Says Stamp's Right Meow stamp set - NOT a Christmas set, but with the addition of the Christmas papers (Doodlebug's Christmas Town 6x6) I made it a Christmas card!

I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the Right Meow set, one of the cats in her glorious paper-pieced Christmas sweater, and a heat embossed sentiment from the Tiny Words Christmas stamp set.

SSS & Doodlebug Quick Halloween Cards! | AmyR 2018 Halloween Series 15

Yayyyyyy!!! Happy Halloween!! I wanted to share one last Halloween project with y'all - this one combining Simon Says Stamp dies and stamps with some of the Doodlebug Pumpkin Party goodies I got and decided to NOT hoard (as much...):

Eeeepppp! Aren't they CUTE?!? And came together SO quick and easy!!

I generally struggle with using stickers of any sort on my cards but these mini icons ones from the Pumpkin Party collection were practically MADE to go with Simon's Bwahaha stamp set!!


I stamped the haunted house with Simon's Hot Mama dye ink, and the moon with Simon's Clementine dye ink, then built the rest of the scene with the Doodlebug stickers.

The sentiments are from the Bwahaha stamp set and were white heat embossed onto black card stock then die cut with Simon's Sentiment Labels wafer dies.

I finished off the insides of the card with the big Happy Halloween sentiment from the Bwahaha stamp set and some stars from the set stamped with the same dye inks plus Key Lime Simon Dye ink. I added the sticker banner and more Pumpkin Party Patterned paper and that was it!

Third - DISCLAIMER. I totally didn't realize that the stencil AND the stamp set I used aren't available anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️. You might still be able to find them from other sources (I only link to where I personally shop and support!) but I've also linked up some similar items that could be substituted! I am SO sorry for this - usually I make sure items are still available before I post anything (because I've literally received grief in comments and e-mails and whatnot when things I've used are discontinued or out of stock etc). SO - here's the card:

SO - the Brutus Monroe Glow In The Dark Glitter Glaze is AWESOME. Like seriously seriously fun to play with!! I need to try out the other colors of BM Glitter Glaze that I bought b/c I am really intrigued now as to how they are to work with (I assume they'll be just as creamy and easy to work with as this one was) and how they look when they're dry!

And yes it glows in the dark AMAZINGLY well!! 

Also - Studio Katia's Iridescent Bubbles look like they're glowing too! I ❤️ those! And even the little Doodlebug Silly Spider Sprinkles are cute - which is saying something lol!

SSS Coffee and Tea Take 4 | Paper Pieced Parts

Hey everyone! Well National Coffee Day is nearly over - but I couldn't resist making another coffee-themed card during! If you missed my earlier post and video and HUGE give-away you can check it out below:

National Coffee Day Card | Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Break + GIVEAWAY!!

So for this card I pulled out another oldie-but-goodie stamp set - Simon Says Stamp's Coffee and Tea stamps:

Aren't these images the cutest? I stamped them onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers.

I also used some of my hoarded DoodleBug Cream & Sugar patterned papers for the paper pieced parts as well as for the card base.

I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Coffee & Tea stamp set onto Simon's Smoke card stock, which was die cut with Honey Bee's Scallop A2 wafer dies.

I finished off the inside of the card with more patterned paper and stamped another sentiment from the Coffee and Tea stamp set and that was it!

Magnificent Magnolia | Clearly Besotted STAMPtember® Exclusive

Hey everyone! So today's STAMPtember® release is not one but TWO sets - this time with Clearly Besotted!

So I created a card using the Limited Edition Magnificent Magnolia stamp set:

I white heat embossed the large magnolia image onto Strathmore watercolor paper and then watercolored it in with AlteNew's watercolor set.

I used Simon's Citron glitter paper and the Big Thanks wafer die for the large sentiment. For the smaller one I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Magnificent Magnolia set onto a scrap of Audrey Blue card stock then die cut it with Simon's Sentiment Labels wafer die.

The patterned paper is from the DoodleBug Hello 6x6 pack and I die cut it with the largest die from Honey Bee's Scallop A2 die set.

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the other magnolia image from the set with Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks then stamping another sentiment from the set and that was it!

So - for today's post I wanted to continue on with my Halloween series. Since Simon's released a few fabulous new Halloween stamps and dies I had to make some more Halloween cards with them!

I created 3 different backgrounds using the new Spider Web Background stamp. I am loving this stamp - and if I'd had the time I could have made at least twice as many as these - so many fun ways to use it!

For card #1 I white heat embossed the Spider Web Background onto Neenah card stock. I then sponged various Distress Oxide Inks over it and splattered them with water.

For card #2 I stamped the Spider Web Background with Simon's Intense Black ink onto a dark grey card stock.

For card #3 I stamped the background with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and brush Perfect Pearl powder over it. It gives it a subtle shimmer effect.

On all 3 cards I used the new Handlettered Halloween stamp set - and heat embossed them onto various Simon card stocks using Wendi Vecchi embossing powders. LOVE how the sentiments turned out!

I also used some of my hoarded Simon Says Stamp All Eyes on You shape sprinkles. These were released last year and are still available (links are in the supplies down below!) and I just love them! I thought they'd be a perfect touch on all these cards.

On the insides of all three cards I heat embossed another sentiment from the Handlettered Halloween stamp set that I then die cut and adhered to the insides. I stamped the spider from the same set with black ink then used a multiliner to draw a bit of webbing for him to be hanging from and that was it!
