Distress Ink Rainbow Wreath Cards

OK on to today's cards:

I used the new Painted Flowers Wreath stencil and blended a bunch of Distress Inks (specific colors are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of the post!) over it onto Distress Watercolor paper. I then sprayed it with water, added splatter with some of the inks and once dry, die cut the panels with one of Simon's Basic Rectangles wafer dies.

I used the new XL Greetings 2 set for the main greeting and white heat embossed it onto black card stock then die cut it with the coordinating wafer die. I added a little sentiment strip from the Family Sentiment Strips pack to finish it off.

On the insides of the cards I used the Painted Flowers Wreath Stencil and just blended the one flower, then added another sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 set and that was it!

Multiple Backgrounds with Alcohol Lift Ink | AmyR 2021 Valentine's Card Series #5

For starters, here are the cards I made with some of the new products:

I pulled out several pink shades of Ranger Alcohol inks and created a couple of backgrounds on Yupo paper. Then I inked up two of the new background stamps - Radiating Hearts Background and XOXO Background - with Rangers Alcohol Lift Ink and lifted the alcohol inks from those backgrounds. Before cleaning off the stamps I stamped the lifted ink onto panels of white card stock - essentially getting two backgrounds out of one.

I used the You Are Simply the Best and Thank You For Being A Friend wafer dies for the sentiments, stacking layers die cut with white card stock and topping with pink glitter card stock.

I then added sentiment strips cut from the CZ Design Reverse Lucky Sentiment Strips, and added some bling from the Cupcake Frosting sequin mix.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Radiating Hearts Background and XOXO Background using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

Simon Says Stamp Crafty Hugs Release & Review PLUS Giveaway!!

Yay!! The remaining items from Simon Says Stamp's Crafty Hugs release arrived after a LONG hold up in the postal system (for me personally it seems like postage times are back to somewhat-normal. Maybe a little longer than usual but nothing like the massive backlog that happened at the end of April and into May. CZ Design Chunky Flowers Slimline Card & Matching Envelope

OK on to my card:

This is a 3.5 x 8.5" slimline card.

I used several of the new CZ Design products that were in the Send Happiness release to make this card. I started with the Chunky Flowers wafer die and made 3 of those as they lined up almost perfectly on a card of this size.

The new Chunky Happy wafer die is also a fabulous size for a card size like this and I die cut it from black card stock and vellum, and finished it off with a white heat embossed sentiment from the Happy Days stamp set.

I used the Chunky Flowers stencil on the card base (and the envelope!) and blended 3 different colors of Distress Oxide inks, offsetting the stencil with each color to create this trippy background lol! Of course I added splatter with Ranger Perfect Pearl powder mixed with water and my white Amsterdam ink.

To finish off the card I used sequins from the Summer Sunset pack - the colors from these sequins are what inspired the color combo for this card and envelope.

On the inside of the card I adhered the outlines that were leftover from the Chunky Flowers I created on the front of the card. I white heat embossed another sentiment from the Happy Days stamp set and that completed the inside.

For the envelope I used one of the new Lemon Chiffon Slimline envelopes and stencilled it just like I did on the card front - splatter and all! And that was it!

EASY Distress Ink Watercolor on Suzy's MOTHER'S DAY Watercolor Prints

OK here's the card I made:

I didn't do ANY stamping on this card. I used one of the new Suzy's Mother's Day Watercolor Prints. These are drawn by Suzy Plantamura and SSS prints them onto the smooth side of Distress watercolor paper. I used several Distress Inks to watercolor them in (specific colors are listed in the supplies below), and went with a peach/orange/coral/yellow combo.

I added splatter with some Ranger Perfect Pearl powder mixed with water, and added a few of the new Soft Sunrise sequin mix as well.

The Outline Mum wafer die was cut from Simon's Gold Glitter card stock and vellum. I ended up running the vellum through my little 3" Xyron sticker maker and backing it with a second layer of vellum before adhering it to the card. The 'I Love You' sentiment strip is from the Reverse Mom Days Sentiment Strips pack.

I kept the inside of the card simple and added another sentiment from the Reverse Mom Days Sentiment Strips and that was it!

NEW Waffle Flower Patterned Paper Packs!

I made a few quick and EASY cards using the new patterned paper and Waffle Flower's Holiday Hugs Die and Holiday Hugs stamp set:

I had bought the stamp and die set back in the fall and meant to use them in my Christmas Card series but life got in the way. I pulled them out to use for these cards as some of the sentiments are great for any occasion plus the dies make these cute cards!

I used papers from the Half Half Dots Unicorn pack and Half Half Dots Botanical pack of papers. The card base is the patterned papers, and then I die cut the same patterns using the "arm" die from the Holiday Hugs die set.

All the "mittens" were die cut from Flock Transfer sheets (all the colors I used are linked below). So they're all fuzzy but not at all bulky. Plus because the flock transfer sheets have paper backing they're REALLY easy to adhere!

I used sentiments from the Holiday Hugs stamp set to stamp on the front of the card base and the inside with black ink and that completed each card!

Easy Messy Watercolor on Diecuts | SSS Crocus Flowers

Hello everyone!! I've been LOVING Simon's Lucky to Know You release. I already did a card video as well as a Release & Review video - if you missed those you can find them here:

OK - so for today's card I already had an idea in mind, and then changed how I was going to do the background after seeing THIS AMAZING CARD by Cynthia Norberg <---click! I loved everything about her card (and want to try something like it down the road) but what inspired my card was the way she did the splatter and loose watercolor bits. I decided to incorporate the idea of that into the background of my card:

I used Simon's new Stitching Panel wafer die for my background. I ran it through my die cut machine with Distress watercolor paper, and I didn't use a metal adapter plate, nor did I run it through more than once (a wafer die like this that's so big with SO many little holes I highly recommend a metal adapter plate if you want all the holes to pop out, or if you have a Gemini machine using the metal shim that it comes with). All I wanted was the texture - and I gotta say this is probably going to be another wafer die that I was just "ok" with at first, and then reach for ALL the time lol. I like stitching on cards but I don't do it that often, however using this to create texture like this? LOVE.

I die cut more of the Distress watercolor paper, this time with the Crocus Flowers wafer die set. I used my AlteNew watercolors with it and did some REALLY easy messy watercolor on them, and didn't pop out the centre areas as I liked how they looked left in place. I added a bit of loose watercolor to the background (that was inspired by Cynthia's card!) and some splatter.

The sentiment is from the Just Because Word Mix 2 stamp set, and I die cut it with the Word Mix 2 wafer die.

I finished off the inside of the card with one of the die cut crocuses, and added another sentiment from the Just Because Word Mix 2 set and that was it!

Season's Givings Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'm so excited to participate in the Season's Givings Blog Hop again! This is an AMAZING hop with a ton of fabulous and wonderful designers in the industry - and EVERY stop on this hop has a giveaway!! I wanted to make cards and a video for y'all for this post - I have the cards but am having technical issues with the video so that will be posted later on today!

I used my all-time favorite stamp set - Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful Flowers. I made 2 slimline cards - so they measure 4x9 1/4".

I heat embossed the floral onto black card stock with Wow's Gold Pearl Sparkle embossing powder. I added some white splatter and Studio Katia Gold Spark Crystals.

The stamped sentiment is from Simon's Big Thanks Words stamp set, and the die cut is the Big Thanks Wafer die that I die cut from Simon's gold glitter card stock.

I kept the inside of the cards simple and just stamped the large floral from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and that was it!

Quick and Easy Die Cut Cards | AmyR Valentine 2020 Card Series #1

Hello everyone! First off welcome to the first of my Valentine Card 2020 Series! I'll be jumping back and forth between Valentine/Love-themed cards and more Christmas and winter themes and whatever else - there's no set schedule on my end!

To kick off this series I used some of the NEW Waffle Flower stamps and dies:

As this is part of a blog hop sharing a bunch of inspiration for this release I'll have links to all the stops on the hop below as well as GIVEAWAY info at the end!

I created 2 "Valentine" cards using the new Outline Love Word wafer die, and the Outline Love stamp set and coordinating wafer die. I also used Waffle Flower's previously released Micro Grid 1 wafer die as my background.

I did some die cutting of Tonic's Ruby Ritz and Candy Floss Glitter card as well as some vellum and heavy white card stock. The companion sentiments from the Outline Love stamp set were white heat embossed onto black cardstock.

I added even more bling with some Studio Katia Iridescent Hearts and Red Hearts Crystals, and then added some Waffle Flower Enamel Dots (linked below).

To finish off the insides of the cards I used sentiments from the new Sweet Sentiments stamp set and stamped them with Picked Raspberry and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks and that was it!

Leafy Christmas Tree Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #13

I could not resist the new Leafy Christmas Tree wafer dies - and made several cards using them:

I die cut the Leafy Christmas Tree pieces from different shades of green card stocks, and then layered them all together. I mixed up the layers for each card just to create a slightly different look.

I added "ornaments" to my trees using various pearls from my stash (linked below) and also added a sentiment from Simon's Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set that I heat embossed onto black card stock. For the card fronts I cut down some Tonic Silver Strokes Grey Kraft card, and created "trunks" for the trees with Simon's Woodgrain card stock and some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I finished off the insides of the cards with more sentiments from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Studio Katia Paws for Kindness Card | Copics

Hello everyone!! I'm part of a great blog hop today to share inspiration for the NEW Studio Katia bundle release called Paws for Kindness. There's a stamp & die set, as well as 2 new stencils: Mini Paws and Love for Paws.

Here's what I made with this bundle:

I stamped the little boy and his pets from the Paws for Kindness set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Inkon3's Blackout ink and coloured in the images with Copic markers. I used a Gel Roll broad white gel pen to add some dots and highlights to the images and then die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies.

There are 2 stencils that come in the bundle. I used the Love for Paws stencil and ran it through my Platinum 6 machine with the embossing setup to dry emboss the stencil onto the heart shaped card stock - it's such a subtle look and I love using stencils like this to get that effect!

The other stencil - Mini Paws - was used on the card front and I blended some grey ink over it with a Studio Katia blender brush.

I finished off the inside of the card with another heart that I stamped the boy and his pets on and then added some more sentiments from the Paws for Kindness stamp set and that was it!

SSS STAMPtember 2019 Release & Review! + GIVEAWAY!!

OMG OMG OMG!!! Simon's STAMPtember release is live NOWWWWW!!! <-------click to shop!

Hopefully my silly GIF above is showing up for y'all - it's legit how I feel right now, and how I've been running around like a crazy person trying to get it all done for STAMPtember! That plus Home Alone has been a favorite movie of mine since I was a kid - and I've seen it so many dozen times I can most likely play it all in my head by now.

Now on to the release at hand! For those not familiar with STAMPtember: It's a MONTH-long stamping event exclusive to Simon Says Stamp. Heidi started it 10 years ago now and it's become bigger and more fabulous every year. There's the big Simon release (what this post is about), and then throughout the month there will be a BUNCH of limited edition collaboration sets. Simon collaborates with a ton of other fabulous companies (brands of which they carry and sell in their store) to release exclusive, limited edition sets that are only available during STAMPtember or while supplies last. I'll be sharing tons of videos about those throughout the month!
