Hey friends!

So I couldn't resist creating some more with my Nuvo Shimmer Powders (I have an entire playlist HERE <-----click! on YouTube that has almost two dozen videos I've done over the years). I love my shimmer powders. And yes, I have a bunch of the Lindy's Stamp Gang Shimmer Powders on order (as far as I can tell they're the same/extremely similar to the Nuvo Powders - so no one NEEDS to have both/all - but I do LOL. I am excited to play with all the colors once they get here) as I've had a lot of questions about the LSG ones over the years and I'm excited to finally be able to try them out!

Anywho - I posted these cards the other day:

And I decided to use the new Arches Background stamp and the Beautiful Butterflies set again but this time creating a totally different look with them:

I white heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Arches Background onto Canson XL Watercolor paper. I then sprinkled on Cherry Bomb, Solar Flare and Blue Blitz Nuvo Shimmer Powders and sprayed the backgrounds heavily with water then set them aside to dry.

I LOVE how the colors blended together and all the rainbow effects they created!! I need to do this again!!

I used Simon's Beautiful Butterflies stamp and die set and white heat embossed the butterflies onto vellum and die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies.

I used the CZ Design Spring In My Step stamp set and coordinating die set for the sentiments on the outside and inside of the cards. I then paired them with some black envelopes and that was it!

Hello hello friends! I pulled out a bunch of my Nuvo Shimmer Powders to create some cards and decided to add in some Distress Spray Stains when making the backgrounds. So yes - lots of inspiration and info all in there and now much more easy to find lol!

I pulled out Honey Bee's Lovely Layers: Hydrangea and Lovely Layers: Bugs wafer die sets and made these cards:

I created several panels using Canson XL watercolor paper and a variety of Nuvo Shimmer Powders and Distress Spray Stains. I have all the supplies that I used linked below as always and I "grouped" the powders and spray stains together in the order that I used them just in case anyone was wondering what colors/combos were used. I'll also list them with the closeup of each cards (as I type stream of conscious thoughts while typing this post LOL). 

After all the panels were dry I used Honey Bee's Lovely Layers: Hydrangea wafer dies to die cut all the flower layers and leaves. For the backgrounds I used Honey Bee's Quilted A2 Coverplate on Canson XL watercolor paper along with a bit of Jade Fountain Nuvo Shimmer Powder and Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain.

For the bugs I used the Lovely Layers: Bugs wafer dies, Canson XL watercolor paper, and Solar Flare Shimmer Powder, Meteorite Shimmer Powder and Black Soot Distress Spray Stain. The wings were all die cut from Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum.

All the leaves were: Jade Fountain Shimmer Powder, Falling Leaves Shimmer Powder, Sunray Crosette Shimmer Powder, Twisted Citron Distress Spray Stain, Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray Stain

Pink Hydrangea: Cherry Bomb Nuvo Shimmer Powder, Spun Sugar Distress Spray Stain

Purple Hydrangea: Violet Brocade Shimmer Powder, Lilac Waterfall Shimmer Powder and Shaded Lilac Distress Spray Stain.

Blue Hydrangea: Atlantis Burst Shimmer Powder, Blue Blitz Shimmer Powder and Speckled Egg Distress Spray Stain.

I used Honey Bee's Kind Buzzword wafer die for all 3 cards - layering it with the Pearlescent vellum and topping it with Simon's Matte Gold Mirror card stock. I then used the Kind Buzzword stamp set to gold heat emboss all the companion sentiments.

On the insides of the cards I used the Miss You Big Time stamp set and stamped the large sentiments with Simon's Goldenlocks ink and then stamped the companion sentiments with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and that finished them off!

Hey friends! So after I created the card I posted before this:

VIBRANT Ink Blended Peony Card | Honey Bee Lovely Layers: Peony

I was still loving the color combo so decided to make more cards using it:

I started off by stamping Simon's new Arches Background stamp onto white cardstock panels using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. 

I then did some ink smooshing using Simon's Peony, Peachy and Lemonade Pawsitively Saturated Inks onto Distress Watercolor cardstock.

I gold heat embossed the butterfly stamps from Simon's Beautiful Butterflies stamp set onto the dry ink smooshed panels then die cut them all with the coordinating wafer dies. I also gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set onto black card stock and trimmed them out with scissors.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Arches Background stamp with Simon's Fog ink, and then stamped another sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies set with Peony ink and that was it!

Distress Ink Watercolor and Smooshing | Honey Bee Dragonfly Cards

Hey friends! I have a couple of cards and a video to share with y'all using some of Honey Bee Stamps newest products. If you missed the Release & Review video I did sharing all the new products you can find that HERE <-------click!

I gold heat embossed the dragonflies from Honey Bee's Dragonfly stamp set on Bristol Smooth card stock. I used Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon, and Villainous Potion Distress Inks to watercolor the dragonflies. On the wings I used my Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen so they are GLITTERY in real life (you can see it in the video!). I used the coordinating wafer die set to die cut the dragonflies.

I did a bunch of ink smooshing on a separate piece of card stock that I die cut with a couple of the dies from Honey Bee's Lovely Layers: Greenery wafer dies. On the backgrounds I ran pieces of white card stock through my die cut machine using the Spring Leaves A2 Coverplate die.

I used the Kind Buzzword wafer die and coordinating Kind Buzzword stamp set for my sentiments.

On the insides of the cards I added a dragonfly that I'd heat embossed and watercolored, and die cut with the coordinating wafer die. I added sentiments from the Dragonfly stamp set and that was it!

I had a lot of fun making this card:

I used the new Layering Tulips wafer dies along with the new Snail Trio wafer dies. I die cut all of it from white card stock and then blended Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks over them using blending brushes and the new shader brushes Waffle Flower just released.

The sentiments are from the new Snailed It stamp set (lol love it), and the 2 panels were die cut using WF's Designer Template 1 wafer dies.

On the inside of the card I added another sentiment from the Snailed It stamp set and one of my die cut and blended Snail Trio characters and that was it!

Golden Hour Take 2 with 2 Distress Oxide Sprays & Nuvo Glacier Paste

Hello friends! After my previous post and video (which you can find HERE if you missed it) I couldn't resist making more cards using this combo of Hickory Smoke and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Spray:

This time I sprayed them over Canson XL watercolor paper, and once it was dry I mixed together Tonic's Golden Era and Bronze Medal Glacier Pastes and applied them over my fave Spring Boho Circle Stencil.

I used my favorite Etched Dragonfly wafer die and die cut the wings from Tonic's Copper Mine card stock (LOOOOOOOVVVVEEEE - ahhhhhhhhh) and bodies from Simon's Slate card stock. I also die cut the Bold Thanks wafer die from Slate card stock and adhered 3 layers together.

On the insides of the cards I applied Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink over the Spring Boho Circle stencil with a blending brush, then stamped a sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 stamp set with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

EASY Butterfly Cards | Spellbinders Butterfly Card Creator Etched Dies

Hey friends!

So my friend Bibiana Cameron <-------click! (I HIGHLY recommend checking out her blog - she makes amazing cards) just released a collection with Spellbinders called Bibi's Butterflies:

Aren't they fabulous? She had Spellbinders send me some of the die sets and while I intended to use all of them for this post I got carried away with the Butterfly Card Creator Etched Die set and made a bunch of cards with it:

The Butterfly Card Creator die set is HUGE - the largest butterfly wafer die in the set measures 5x7". LOVE IT.

I made a butterfly-shaped card with it, and a 5x7 card, and an A2 card and then ended up making two 4-bar cards (3.5 x 5.5") because I made a TON of the flowers and leaves from the set.

This butterfly-shaped card uses the 2 large butterfly wafer dies in the Butterfly Card Creator Die set and makes a 5x7" card.

For all the die cut sentiments on the fronts of the cards I used Spellbinders Simply Perfect Mix and Match Sentiments.

I created a 5x7" card base from Simon's Smooth White card stock, masked off the perimeter and then blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink around it before adhering another large butterfly and all the florals and sentiment.

I used the slightly smaller butterfly from the Butterfly Card Creator die set and adhered it to a white A2-sized card base for this card.

Then since I still had a BUNCH of the florals and greenery die cuts I made 2 more 4-Bar Sized cards. I used the largest butterfly and cut it and the body in half and adhered the halves to each card.

I kept all the insides simple and stamped sentiments from Simon's XL Greetings 2 stamp set with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

Layered Birdie Sending Love Card | AmyR 2022 Valentine's Card Series #10

I created a bunch of tags to attach to bags of candy I plan to give to my kids for Valentine's Day. For the tags themselves I used these #8 Dina Wakley White Media tags - they're heavyweight and stand up well to a ton of inks, sprays, layers, etc etc. I used several Distress Spray Stains to color them, and then mixed up some Transparent Gloss Texture Paste with Icicle Crackle Paste and Simon's Unicorn Dust Glitter. I used that mix over Simon's Large Falling Hearts Stencil.

I used Simon's Love Day stamp and die set for the characters and sentiment, and the Big XOXO wafer dies on the tag itself.

I stamped blank tags with this large sentiment from the XL Love Greetings stamp set with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink then adhered them to the backs of all the tags. I added a bunch of ribbon and twine from my stash and all that's left is to attach them to bags of candy!

OK on to today's card:

I ran a piece of Neenah Desert Storm card stock through my die cut machine with Simon's Exotic Vines Embossing Folder. I then swiped Simon's White Pigment ink over it to enhance the texture and added a bunch of white splatter.

To create the bird I die cut Smooth White card stock using Simon's Layered Birdie wafer dies and then ink blended Distress Inks with small blending brushes before adhering the pieces together. The branches were die cut from vellum and Smooth White card stock using the Privet Branch wafer die.

On the inside of the card I stamped a sentiment and a heart from the All About You stamp set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

OK on to the card I made with the November 2021 Card Kit:

I used the Berries & Leaves Stencil on the Neenah Desert Storm card stock and blended Rustic Wilderness and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks over it with blending brushes.

I stamped a couple of the images from the Cozy Wishes stamp set onto the Cream card stock and colored them in with Copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiments with Simon's Cream embossing powder. Once things were in place I added a bunch of splatter.

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the post box image with Simon's Cobblestone ink and stamped another sentiment from the Cozy Wishes set and that was it!

OK on to today's cards:

I used several Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous sets for these - specifically Rest In Peace, Moth Study, Bold Frights and Snarky Cat Halloween.

I stamped the skull from the Rest In Peace set with Distress Black Soot Archival ink, blended some Distress Inks over it and then trimmed it out with scissors. I stamped the background with the same ink using some of the sentiment stamps from the Rest In Peace set.

I stamped a bunch of the moth images from the Moth Study set with the Black Soot Distress Archival ink and blended a rainbow of Distress Inks over them. I then added Tonic's Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss over them - in the video I show just how sparkly they are 😉.

The sentiment is from the Snarky Cat Halloween set and I white heat embossed it onto black card stock.

On the inside of the cards I stamped the skull from the Rest In Peace set with Simon's Fog ink, then stamped a sentiment from the Bold Frights set with Simon's Smoke ink and that was it!

Here's what I made with the I Like You stamp set:

I stamped the image from the I Like You set onto Simon's Smooth White Card Stock with Intense Black ink and colored it in with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment from the set beside it using Cobblestone ink.

I pulled out my oldie-but-goodie fave: Simon's Painted Friend wafer die and die cut it from some Mermaid card stock and then blended Simon's Seafoam ink over it to tone down the color to better go with the patterned paper. The patterned paper is from the Honey Bee Stamps Harvest Festival pack.

On the inside of the card I stamped the image with Cobblestone ink and added another sentiment from the I Like You stamp set and that was it!

Here's what I made with the Sarcastic Kitties Stamp Set:

These are 3.5 x 8.5" Slimline Cards.

I stamped the images from the Sarcastic Kitties set onto Strathmore Watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and colored them in with my Karin Brushmarker Pro's and a water brush.

I used the CZ Design Everett Alphabet Wafer Die set for the "meow" and blended some Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink onto the letters before adhering them to the card front.

The card front panel was die cut with Simon's Slimline Nested Rectangles wafer dies, and the scalloped mat was die cut using the Slimline Scallop Frame wafer dies.

On the inside of the card (and on the envelopes) I stamped a cat image with Simon's Cobblestone ink. I stamped the heart-shaped "fur ball" with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink and then stamped the sentiment and that was it!

Here's what I made with the Magical Christmas Stamp Set:

I was watching Nina-Marie Trapani's video for the TH STAMPtember® release HERE <-----click! and she made a transparent overlay with a laminator sheet and glitter. It reminded me that she'd shown this forever ago and that I'd ordered all the things to do it and then forgot about it LOL (as usual). I pulled out my massive laminator and attempted this for the first time for this card and it WORKED and it was EASY and I now kick myself for not trying it sooner LOL!!

Isn't it fun? So difficult to take pictures of - but I show it in the video of course.

So I stamped the images from the Magical Christmas Set onto Simon's Smooth White card stock with Intense Black Ink and coloured them in with Copic markers and added highlights and whatnot with a white gel pen.

On the inside of the card I added another sentiment from the Magical Christmas set along with a couple of the unicorns and that was it!

Here's what I made:

This is a 3.25 x 6.25" mini slimline card

I stamped images from the Life Happens set onto Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink then watercolored them with my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors.

I used some Polychromos color pencils to add some detail and shading, and white heat embossed the sentiment onto brown card stock.

On the inside of the card I stamped the images with Simon's Cobblestone ink then added another sentiment with the Nocturne ink and that was it!
