One Stamp Two Cards | SSS Sunflower Fields Take 2

Hey friends!

I made 2 cards using the one big stamp from Simon's Sunflower Fields stamp set (and used the coordinating stencil to color them in):

These are 3.25 x 6.25" Mini Slimline Cards

I used the coordinating stencil set along with Simon's Pawsitively Saturated inks to color them in, and then added splatter of course. I cut the panel in half and got 2 card fronts from the one stamped image which was perfect.

I had some fun with the Pumpkin Patch Embossing Folder that was in the Limited Edition Halloween card kit (which as of posting this there are still some kits left available HERE - but they will be sold out soon! Everything I used is available individually and linked to below).

I used a bunch of the new Distress Halloween Mica Spray Stains - you can check out the sets HERE ------ PLUS the Holiday ones are out now too (and I'm just waiting on mine to arrive b/c y'all KNOW I was going to get them!). I also used the new Distress Watercolor Pencils - I did a post and video HERE <-----click! showing how I made a palette for them.

Here's what I made:

I created a couple of backgrounds with Oxide Sprays and a Spray Stain, and then die cut them with Simon's Etched Oak Leaves wafer dies. I also used the Thanks wafer die set and the Grateful and Thankful Sentiment Strips to finish everything off.

Hey friends! So Simon Says Stamp's October Card Kit came out just over a week ago, and it took a little longer to get to me here in Canada - but it's HERE and I have an unboxing and a couple of cards to share with y'all!

Here's what I made:

I love the tags that come in the kit so I stamped the sunflower from the Sunflower Fields stamp set onto the tags with Fallen Leaves ink then colored them in with Distress Watercolor Pencils and a water brush. Making a Distress Watercolor Pencil Palette

Hey friends! So recently I saw a post by Kulbir (check out her Instagram HERE and her blog HERE - she creates gorgeous cards so if you don't already follow her I highly recommend that you do!) that had a Distress palette in the background of a photo with the Distress Watercolor Pencils shavings in it. I thought it was rather brilliant - and since I am finding that I prefer using the Distress Watercolor Pencils by picking up the color directly from the pencil with a water brush that a palette with the shavings would work awesome for me:

So that's what I did. I sharpened all of the colors and put the shavings from each color into a well of a Distress Palette. And since there's 36 colors of the Distress Watercolor Pencils and the palette has 36 wells it also satisfies my OCD lol.

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Sunflower Garden Stamp set and did some ink smooshing (after watching a recent Kristina Werner video here) with my Karin Brushmarker Pro's and then watercolored in the image with the markers and my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen.
