Easy Textured Glow in the Dark Card | AmyR Halloween 2022 Series #4

And now for the latest card:

This one glows in the dark!!

I die cut Simon Says Stamp's Friendly Ghosts wafer dies from smooth white card stock then covered them with clear embossing ink and coated them with Glow in the Dark embossing powder. 

To create the background I ink blended Simon's Cantaloupe and Bubblegum Pawsitively Saturated inks over more smooth white card stock. I then ran the panel through my die cut machine with the Cute Ghosts Embossing Folder - and then added Black Soot Distress Paint splatter of course.

I ink blended the Bubblegum ink onto another piece of card stock and die cut that with the Here for the Boos wafer die.

I blended the 2 inks along the bottom of the inside of the card, and then stamped sentiments from the Spook Up Some Fun stamp set with the same colors. I paired the card with a black envelope and that was it!

Hello hello friends! I have another Halloween card and video to share with y'all - this time using mostly NON-Halloween-themed products. Before I get to the card tho if you've missed the first couple of Halloween posts from me thus far you can find them at the links below:

OK on to today's card:

I die cut white card stock using Simon Says Stamp's Etched Layered Daisy Stem wafer die set and then ink blended Distress Inks on all the pieces. I used a combo of Simon's Small Blending Brushes and Waffle Flower's Shader Brush Size 0 and Shader Brush Size 1 with the inks and mannnnnnn it was basically a therapeutic experience lol. I have just been LOVING ink blending all my die cuts lately and love the extra dimension it gives.

I used Simon's Arches Background stamp on the Slate card stock - I stamped it with Nocturne ink and then sprayed the card stock with Black Soot Distress Spray before letting it dry. I then die cut it with a Basic Rectangle wafer die, and after adhering it and the florals I splattered the card with Black Soot Distress Paint.

I used my oldie-but-goodie favorite Flickering Butterflies wafer dies, die cut them from black card stock and then painted them with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen so they're all glittery.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Arches Background with the Twisted Citron Distress Ink. All the sentiments are from the Spooky Salutations Sentiment Strip pack (and were the ONLY Halloween-themed product I used on this card!). I ink blended the ones on the inside, and added the remaining Flickering Butterflies die cuts and that was it!

OK on to today's card:

I used Simon Says Stamp's Ice Cream Scoop and Cone wafer dies, and ink blended all the pieces after die cutting them from white card stock. I used Pawsitively Saturated inks as well as Black Soot Distress Ink, adding detail with a Detail Flat Blending Brush and splatter with Ground Espresso Distress Paint. 

On the background I used my fave Halloween background stamp - Simon's Spider Web Background and stamped that with Flannel ink and added a bunch of Black Soot Distress Paint splatter.

I stamped the Spider Web Background on the inside of the card as well. All the sentiments are from the Spooky Salutations and Reverse Spooky Salutations sentiment strips pack. I ink blended the white card stock strips with the same inks I used for the ice creams and that was it!

As per usual - no set schedule (I try and have tried many many times life always seems to have other plans). However I will always post links to previous posts within each Halloween post so that they're easy to find as I'm jumping around from one theme/genre/etc to the next!

OK on to the cards:

I embossed Ranger watercolor paper using Simon Says Stamp's Tangled Web embossing folder. I then used Nuvo Shimmer Powders to color them, and once dry I used a brayer and white pigment ink to enhance the raised edges of the webs.

The CZ Design Trick or Treat sentiment was die cut from Doll Pink card stock and after stacking and adhering it I coated the words with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen (which you can see the glitter at the end of the video).

On the insides of the cards I stamped the CZ Design Creepy Crawlers Background with Simon's Guava ink. I then added sentiments from the CZ Design Reverse Halloween Sentiment Strips pack and that was it!

So I have yet another ice cream-themed card to share with y'all - but this time with a bit of a snarky twist. If you missed my previous ice cream-themed cards you can check out those posts here:

And here's the latest one:

I had FUN making this card lol! I wanted to make the Ice Cream Scoop and Cone look like it had been dropped, so I pulled out Simon's Night Sky wafer die set and used one of the cloud dies to create the ruined ice cream. All of the pieces I die cut from Simon's Smooth White card stock and then ink blended them with Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

I used the CZ Design Oh Expletive wafer die for the main sentiment, and stamped a sentiment from the CZ Design Stop Drop Party stamp set to complete it.

On the inside of the card I stamped another sentiment from the Stop Drop Party stamp set and ink blended and adhered several Streamer Ribbons to the inside and outside of the card to finish it off.

Easy Ink Blended Die Cut Thank You Card

Hey friends! This week's Color Throwdown Challenge just went up:

Here's what I made:

I die cut Simon Says Stamp's Smooth White card stock using the new Alstroemeria Stem wafer die, Blossom Vine wafer die and Layered Hummingbird and then ink blended them with Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

On the card base I used one of the Dimensional Cubes stencils and blended Simon's Latte ink over it (I am LOVING the combo of the Latte ink with Neenah Desert Storm card stock). For the sentiment I used the Bold Thanks wafer die and Simon's Smoke card stock.

On the inside of the card I used the same Dimensional Cubes stencil and Latte ink but just a lighter hand and less ink to make it softer. I then adhered one of the Alstroemeria Stem die cuts and that was it!

So I wanted to make another one:

I used Simon Says Stamp's new Dimensional Cubes Stencil over white card stock and blended some Pawsitively Saturated Inks with it. I then added a bunch of splatter (had to make up for the clean and simple cards I showed y'all in my last post lol) and then die cut it with one of Simon's Basic Rectangles wafer dies.

I die cut white card stock with the Soft Serve Cone wafer die set and then blended more of the Pawsitively Saturated Inks over the pieces before adhering them.

On the inside of the card I blended Simon's Guava ink over one of the Dimensional Cubes stencil, and then added sentiments from the Reverse Bold Birthday Sentiment Strips pack and that was it!

Clean & Simple Ink Blended Skies | SSS On the Horizon

Hey friends! Well hopefully I've finally overcome the most recent of tech/website/whatever issues I've been dealing with lately (pretty much everything I need to do my job either broke or crashed or just up and disappeared it seems). It's been rather insane behind the scenes to say the least.... but I have almost everything working again now which means I can finally get videos edited and uploaded for y'all!

So first off - some clean and simple cards. Which aren't what I usually do. Don't get me wrong - I love me some clean and simple cards. I struggle with making them myself b/c y'all know I want to splatter and add bling and allllll the things. But these ones I made I think have some beauty in the simplicity:

I created ink blended backgrounds using Simon's Pawsitively Saturated inks. For this card I used Citrine, Peony, Iris and Royal.

I die cut the background with one of Simon's Nested Circle wafer dies and then stamped images from the new On the Horizon stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

For this background I used Citrine, Sherbet, Peony and a little bit of Royal Pawsitively Saturated ink.

And finally this card uses Citrine, Peony, Seafoam and Cadette inks. I then die cut the background with one of the Basic Rectangle wafer dies and again stamped images from the On the Horizon stamp set.

On the insides of the cards I stamped a sentiment and one of the silhouette images from the On the Horizon stamp set and that was it!

I made a fun slimline card with some of the new goodies:

This is a 3.5 x 8.5" Slimline Card.

I used the new Dibble Dot Embossing Folder on white card stock and ran it through twice to get the pattern across this slimline size. The pattern doesn't line up but you can't tell with all the splatter and ice cream elements 😉.

I die cut white card stock using the Ice Cream Scoop and Cone wafer die set and then ink blended on all the pieces with Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks (all the specific colors I used are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of this post). I used the same inks with water and a paintbrush to splatter some color over the embossed background too.

The sentiment is from the new Be You Reverse Sentiment Strips pack, I cut them out and inked the edges with a black marker.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new Big and Bold stamp set with all the same inks I used for the ice cream. Once that was done this card was finished!

Ink Blended Die Cut Flowers Card | HB Lovely Layers: Coneflower

Hey friends!

So after I made my previous card (which you can check out HERE if you missed it) I just HAD to make another floral using another fabulous color combo inspired by the osteospermums aka African Daisies I have planted this year. They're SO pretty in real life and man the color combos! LOVE.

I pulled out my Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers: Coneflower wafer die set and die cut all the layers from some Hammermill card stock. I then used small blending brushes and Waffle Flower Size 1 Shader Brushes with several of Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks to add the color to all the pieces.

It's hard to tell in the pictures but I die cut a panel of white card stock with Honey Bee's Quilted A2 Coverplate wafer die before spraying it with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray. I adhered the flowers and leaves, and added a sentiment made from black card stock and the Honey Bee Thanks Buzzword wafer die.

I stamped sentiments from the Honey Bee Inside: Thankful Sentiments stamp set with Simon's Iris ink, die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies and then adhered them to the outside and inside of the card and that was it!

Hey friends! I was the host for last week's Color Throwdown Challenge - it's been SO muggy and hot here (and my garage/office space doesn't have air conditioning so it's been rather uncomfortable in here to say the least lol) that it's been difficult-to-near-impossible to get creative and get work done! However we've figured out a couple of work arounds (aka open doors and fans lol!) to make it easier for me to work.

I die cut white card stock using Simon Says Stamp's Etched Layered Daisy Stem wafer die and then colored it with Copic markers. I have some osteospermum AKA African Daisies in planters and the one plant is just like this so that's how I colored mine (and they have SO many amazing colors - I have a few different varieties in planters and need to make more cards inspired by them).

I used Simon's Arches Background and stamped it onto white card stock with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink and then sprayed it with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Spray. Once dry I die cut it with one of the Nested Domed Arches wafer dies. 

The sentiment is was made using the Bold Thanks wafer die and then a companion sentiment from the All the Thanks Sentiment Strips pack.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Arches Background again, and added another sentiment from the All the Thanks Sentiment Strip pack (that I colored with Copics) and that was it!

Crafty Haul! July 2022

For today's post and video I unboxed Simon's August 2022 Card Kit and made 3 cards with it:

and here's what I made:

I used the Picnic Floral embossing folder that comes in the kit and embossed white card stock, patterned paper from the kit and the rose gold metallic paper from the kit and made 3 cards with them.

I stamped one of the floral images and butterflies from the Vintage Garden stamp set with Simon's Smoke ink and popped those into place with the foam squares from the kit.

I stamped the same images on the insides of the cards and that was it!
