Hello friends! I'm FINALLY starting to feel better so I plan to be posting a TON of videos! First off - Tim Holtz revealed the newest Distress color recently:
Say hello to Saltwater Taffy! <---------click!
It's SO pretty (and I've said that about every new color released so far and will say it for the remaining 4 as they are released too - I love color and can never have enough options). My order arrived the other day with all these goodies and I lost no time playing with this new color:
I started by embossing Simon's Pinpoint Starlets embossing folder onto a couple of pieces of Distress Watercolor paper.
On this card I blended Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade and Salvaged Patina Distress Inks over the embossed panel using Simon's Large Blending Brushes. I kept the blending light as these colors looked so pretty and "airy" IMO - but you could definitely add more ink to intensify or you can do what I did for the second card:
On this background I sprayed Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade and Salvaged Patina Distress Spray Stains. SUPER intense color - and I LOVE how they blended themselves.
I used sentiments from the XL Greetings 3 stamp set and stamped them with the Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed them with the coordinating Embossing Glaze. I then die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies and popped them up with foam tape.
On the insides of the cards I inked up more sentiments from the XL Greetings 3 stamp set using the Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks and a brayer to get that uh-maaaazing blend.
