Here's what I made for today:
These are 3.5 x 8.5" Slimline Cards.
Of course I HAD to use the new Mother's Day Tulips set for my cards. HELLO BIG FLORALS. Especially big tulips - I said in a recent video for y'all to expect to see me post a bunch of tulip-themed cards b/c it's that time of year and I just love tulips. I love the real ones and I love creating them on paper too. And this stamp is HUGE so it makes it extra fun to color in. There's a coordinating wafer die available as well for it (which I don't have but I'm prolly going to order it b/c I think I'll be using this set a lot...).
I heat embossed the tulips onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Simon's Cream embossing powder. I then used a variety of Distress Inks to watercolor them in.
For the greenery I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks. Then for this first card I combined Saltwater Taffy, Dried Marigold, and Abandoned Coral to get this pretty, peachy, orange color.
For this card I combined Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry and Villainous Potion - LOVE.
I also pulled out my oldie-but-goodie favorite Etched Dragonfly wafer die to add them to the cards. For the sentiments I heat embossed the sentiment from the new All About Mom stamp set with the Cream embossing powder and die cut it with the coordinating wafer die.
On the insides of the cards I stamped the tulips with Simon's Fog ink, and added a sentiment from the Mother's Day Tulips set that I stamped with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink and that was it!
