Flat Snowflake Shaker Window Cards

Hello friends! I had a good day with editing so I have my final post and video for y'all for 2021 (and REALLY hoping we all have a much better year for 2022!).

I had a blast making these cards - it was one of those times where the idea in my head translated REALLY well onto the finished cards (which doesn't often happen):

I used Simon's Snowflake Trio wafer die set from the DieCember® release to create windows in my cards where I sandwiched recycled packaging that I filled with Snowflake Glitter and Celebration Glitter from Studio Katia.

The actual snowflake dies from the Snowflake Trio set I die cut from Simon's Matte Gold card stock and adhered to the windows with Glossy Accents. The sentiments were die cut from the new Just Because wafer die set and stacked with layers to give it a bit of dimension.

On the insides of the cards I stamped a sentiment and a heart from the All About You stamp set and that was it!

One Stamp, Two Cards, NO Coloring | AmyR 2022 Valentine's Card Series #2

Now on to today's card:

I used Simon's Beautiful Bouquet stamp set again - and I am sure you all will see me use it many more times lol! I love me some huge floral images! This time I white heat embossed it onto Black Matte Alcohol Ink Cardstock. I then colored it in using Karin Pigment DecoBrush markers. 

I of course added splatter using my Avery Elle White Spray and my Zig Gold Mica Liquid.

The die cut sentiments are from Simon's Thinking of You Line wafer dies. I used Doll Pink and Matte Gold card stock for them and adhered it right over the main image.

On the inside of the card I stamped the Beautiful Bouquet with Simon's Cheeky ink and then stamped a sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and that was it!

Now on to today's cards:

I used the new MASSIVE floral image from Simon's Beautiful Bouquet stamp set that was released in their To the Moon release from earlier this month. Of course y'all know I'm gonna love a big floral image set lol. This one is HUGE and I LOVE it. I was able to get two A2 cards from one stamped image!

I stamped the Beautiful Bouquet onto Simon's Smooth White card stock using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, then added gold splatter using my Zig Gold Mica Liquid. The sentiments are from Simon's new So Much Love stamp set.

I stamped the insides of the cards with the Beautiful Bouquet image using Simon's Fog ink and added a sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 stamp set. I stamped a couple of Simon's Black Envelopes with the bouquet using Delicata Golden Glitz ink and that was it!

OK on to the start of the newest series:

I white heat embossed Simon's Chevron Pattern Background stamp onto Arches watercolor paper and then used my Prima Classics watercolors over it. I also added splatter using the new-to-me Zig Brilliant Gold Mica Ink (it also comes in Silver!) and my fan brush.

For the main sentiment I used the new CZ Design Love You wafer die and stacked it with layers of white card stock topped with Simon's Matte Gold card stock, and then die cut the outline from vellum.

To create the insides of the cards I used the same Prima Classics watercolors and painted the colors onto the Chevron Pattern Background stamp before stamping it onto the insides of my card bases. I then added a sentiment strip from the The Best Friends Sentiment Strips pack and that was it!

EASY Stencilled Rainbow Snowflakes Card

Hey friends! I have another card and video to share with you using the Scattered Snowflakes Stencil that comes in the SSS January 2022 Card Kit. If you missed my post and video unboxing the kit and making cards with it you can find that here:

You don't have to get the kit to get the stencil - it's available on it's own here too <-----click!

I used the Scattered Snowflakes Stencil on top of Simon's Smooth White card stock and blended several of Simons inks over it using blending brushes.

It's really hard to see in the pictures but you can see it better in the video - after blending the inks I applied Distress Icicle Crackle Paste over the stencil as well. It gives it the slightest bit of shimmer and crackle over the colored areas.

Simon's Warm Hugs wafer die was stacked with white and Matte Gold card stocks for the main sentiment and then a companion sentiment was added using the Thinking of You Sentiment Strips.

On the inside of the card I used the Scattered Snowflakes Stencil with the same inks and then added a sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 stamp set and that was it!

Hello friends! I hope you all had (or are still having) a wonderful Holiday Season!!

I got Simon's January Card Kit and it is SO fun:

You can check out the kit HERE <------click! while supplies last - plus I have the unboxing of the kit in the first part of my video lower down in this post.

Here are the cards I made with it:

I used the new Seafoam Glitz Glitter Gel that comes in the kit over the Scattered Snowflakes stencil for these backgrounds. I then stamped a bunch of the images from the Warmest Wishes set and colored them in with Copics.

For the other two cards I used the Faceted Snowflakes Embossing Folder on Lavender card stock and splattered them with Avery Elle White Spray.

I due cut vellum circles and heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Warmest Wishes set using Simon's Steel Navy embossing powder. I added a companion sentiment from the set that I stamped with Simon's Doll Pink ink.

On the insides of the cards I used the Scattered Snowflakes stencil again and inked over it with Simon's Seafoam ink and Simon's Lavender ink. I then stamped another sentiment from the Warmest Wishes set with Simon's Soft Navy ink and that was it!

EASY NO Coloring Thank You Cards

THIS post focuses on Doodlebug's Christmas release - Let It Snow. I ordered most of it along with a few other DB goodies and they showed up the other day. Since I like to collect DB products I'm not too bothered about Christmas being in a few days (really it was an early Christmas present from me to me! Hello friends!! I have new cards and a video to share with all of you!

Honey Bee Stamps had a FABULOUS release recently (I will have a Release & Review video for it sometime later this week - just waiting on some things to get here) and today I'm part of a YouTube hop sharing inspiration using the new products! You can check out all the new products from the Sealed With Love release that are linked below and then my cards and video will be below!

I had the HARDEST time deciding what to create with for today's post and video. I am legit in love with this whole release and want to make allllll the things. I decided though to start with the new Hello Sweetheart stamp set since it has an amazing coordinating layering stencil set so I didn't do ANY coloring on these cards.

I gold heat embossed the floral heart from the Hello Sweetheart set onto Simon's Smooth White card stock, and then used a variety of inks and blending brushes with the Hello Sweetheart stencil set to color them all in. It was so easy and quick and just - ahhhhh - LOVE it.

I used the new You (Buzzword) wafer dies and coordinating You (Buzzword) stamp set for my sentiments.

On the inside of the card I stamped the floral heart with Simon's Fossil ink. I had gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Hello Sweetheart set, then ink blended the pink inks over it and die cut it with the coordinating wafer die, and that was it!

If you don't follow me on Facebook or my Instagram you wouldn't have seen my update from the other day. I've been dealing with a LOT on my plate lately and all of it has been the reason I went MIA the last couple of weeks! But things are looking up and getting better and I'm also getting (ever so slowly as is life) things done on my to-do list - one of which is the latest Happy Mail Haul video which I've needed to do for MONTHS now - heck nearly a year since the last one!! It's been a rather crazy year to put it mildly so it all just is what it is. That said - I had a lot of fun filming this for y'all and sharing all these fabulous cards and whatnot and I hope you all enjoy it along with my random rambles and random tips and tricks thrown in while I was at it lol!

Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes. The post can be notoriously slow sometimes especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless! If you ever want to check out previous months Happy Mail Haul videos you can find them all here:

If you want to send ahead and mail cards for multiple themes in the same package I am totally OK with that. It helps if you add a sticky note or something to mark what month each card is for. Please do not send more than 2 cards for each theme (so there are the 3 upcoming months therefore 6 cards in total). I cannot accept large packages/boxes of cards. I don't have anywhere to store large amounts plus it takes up a lot of my time to film/edit/upload these videos and limiting the submissions to 2 per person ensures it's fair for everyone. Thank you for understanding!

 

If you are interested in donating your cards there are MANY charities and organizations out there. You would need to do your own research to find a cause/group/organization that works for you and what you want to do! Everything from local nursing homes/palliative care units/Ronald McDonald Houses to charities to cards for troops is out there - LOTS to choose from!

 

Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!).

Easy Ink Blended Die Cut Anemones | AmyR Christmas 2021 Series #1

OK on to today's cards:

I used Trinity Stamp's Layered Pine Forest Stencil set along with several Hero Hues Reactive inks in pinks and purples and blended them over the stencils to create my scene. I added a bunch of splatter using water, one of the Reactive inks and then the Avery Elle White Ink Spray.

I used some recycled packaging (specifically the packaging that Simon Says Stamp's card stock comes in - I save it and then cut it down for projects like this) and hot foiled Trinity Stamps Season's Greetings Hot Foil plates onto it using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and some Lavender Glimmer Hot Foil.

THEN I adhered the packaging to the stencilled backgrounds and filled it with Distress Rock Candy Glitter, Studio Katia Snowflake Glitter and Simon's Unicorn Confetti Glitter.

On the insides of the cards I used the Layered Pine Forest Stencil again with the Taffy Reactive ink, and then added a sentiment from the Winter Winds Set with the Purple Galaxy Reactive Ink. I paired the cards with some of Simon's Metallic Doll Pink envelopes and that was it!

OK here's the newest cards I've made:

I used the Winter Flower Stamp and Die combo - and rather than color in the image I white heat embossed it onto vellum and then die cut it with the new coordinating wafer die.

I then used the new Detail Pincushion Plate wafer die on the backgrounders (seriously loving this one) and backed it with black card stock so that it was more subtle and the poinsettia image stood out more.

For the sentiment I gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Winter Flower set onto white card stock and then die cut it with one of the new Mixed Labels wafer dies.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Winter Flower image with Simon's Fog ink, then stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings stamp set with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and that was it!
