OK on to the cards!

I used the new Filigree Snowflake Cut & Emboss Folder that Simon just released - it's so neat! I ran it through my die cut machine with Cotton Candy card stock and then did another pass using Simon's Matte Silver Mirror card stock and *chef's kiss*. LOL! SO easy to use. 

For the backgrounds I used the new Detail Pincushion Plate wafer die - definitely an immediate favorite. 

For the sentiments I used the new Holiday Greetings stamp set. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto Slate card stock for the fronts of the cards and stamped sentiments from the Holiday Greetings set onto the insides using Simon's Cheeky ink and that was it!

Waffle Flower Watercolored Stems Thank You Cards

Today is Waffle Flower's November release!

And to celebrate the new release I'm part of a fun blog hop to share inspiration using some of the new products. I'll have links to all the stops on this hop as well as GIVEAWAY info further down in this post!

Here are the cards I made:

I die cut Ranger White Heavystock using the new Stems Die Set, the Vase Variety Die Set and the Special Delivery Die Set. I then watercolored all the die cut pieces using my AlteNew Watercolor Palette.

I dry embossed Waffle Flower's Brick Wall Stencil onto some white card stock. I haven't dry embossed a stencil in a long time and I forgot how much I LOVE the simple texture it gives (plus it's another great use for stencils!).

For the sentiments I used the Oversized Grace & Kindness Combo Stamp and Die Set. I die cut the Kindness word from some pearlescent gold card stock and gold heat embossed the accompanying words onto some Audrey Blue card stock.

On the insides of the cards I added some of the leftover watercolored Stems, and then stamped a sentiment from the Waffle Flower Thank You stamp set. I paired the cards with some Bronze envelopes and that finished them off!

SSS December 2021 Card Kit Unboxing + 5 Cards!

So Simon Says Stamp's December 2021 Card Kit: Santa's Helpers was released a bit ago - and I have the kit here so my post and video includes an unboxing of the kit as well as 5 cards that I made with it!

First off the cards:

These are 4.25" Square Cards.

I used the 3D Decoupage Elements that come in the December kit along with the foam squares to create all the scenes for these cards.

I heat embossed sentiments from the Santa's Helpers stamp set, and used Simon's Fairway ink with a blending brush to ink up the green ones. After fussy cutting them I adhered them to the cards with the same foam squares.

On all of the scenes I used the Icicle Crackle Paste that comes in the December kit with a paint brush and just painted it on to various areas of all the scenes. It adds this neat, shiny, crackly element that is REALLY hard to capture in photos.

On the insides of the cards I added a strip of Audrey Blue card stock that I'd white heat embossed another sentiment from the Santa's Helpers set onto. I adhered the card stock only on each end so that a gift card can be held in place by it. And that was it!

OK on to today's cards:

I die cut a bunch of pieces using Honey Bee's Mugs & Kisses wafer die set - it's SUCH a cute set and will work for any occasion IMO!

I did some ink blending on the mugs using Aged Mahogany Distress Ink - it really adds a bit of depth and dimension to them. Other ways to add more detail is the Copic marker "cinnamon" on the whip cream, the white glitter snowflakes, gold metallic spoons and of course the white splatter.

I made myself cut into Honey Bee's Vintage Holiday and Gingham Galore: Holiday 6x6 paper packs (I can't help it - I LOVE Honey Bee's patterned papers and I'm really bad for hoarding them lol) and used those for my background along with some vellum.

To create the sentiments for the cards I used the Bitty Buzzwords: Holidays wafer dies and Bitty Buzzwords: Holidays coordinating stamp set.

To finish off the insides of the cards I used some of the leftover bits of the patterned papers, and added sentiments from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and that was it!

These are 3.5 x 8.5" Slimline Cards.

I used the Christmas Foliage Stencil Set along with a bunch of Simon's new Pawsitively Saturated inks to make these backgrounds. And then added a bunch of gold splatter of course.

For the sentiments on these cards I used both the Joyous Christmas Hot Foil Plate (first closeup image) and the Joyous Christmas Wafer Die set (second closeup image). I used Spellbinders Matte Gold Glimmer Hot Foil with the Joyous Christmas Hot Foil Plate and then die cut it with the outline die from the Joyous Christmas wafer die set. For the die cuts I used Simon's Matte Gold Mirror card stock.

I finished off the insides of the cards with the full pattern stencil from the Christmas Foliage Stencil Set using Simon's Fog ink and that was it!

OK onto the cards for this post:

I had a heckuva time trying to get decent pics of these lol! With all the metallic card stock and holographic card stock and holo envelopes (YES - holo envelopes!) all the reflections and whatnot just drive my camera crazy.

Anywho - I adore this new Twinkly Lights wafer die set that Simon just released. I had a literal blast die cutting and assembling all my little strings of lights. I went "old school" and die cut the strings from Simon's Midnight Green card stock, and then die cut the bulbs from Tim Holtz Metallic Jewels Kraft paper.

Since I wanted the Twinkly Lights to be the main focus I kept the rest of the cards rather simple. I pulled out the CZ Design Merry & Bright wafer die set for my sentiment - and topped it with some of Simon's Holographic card stock, and backed it with vellum. I used the snowflake wafer dies from that set and die cut them from white card stock and adhered to the background before adding the Twinkly Lights.

I kept the insides of the cards simple and just added one more set of the Twinkly Lights die cuts to the inside of each and that was it!

OK on to my card:

I heat embossed this fabulous image from the new Winter Flower stamp set onto Arches watercolor paper using Simon's Cream embossing powder. I then watercolored it in with my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.

I used one of the sentiments from the Winter Flower set and gold heat embossed part of it onto brown card stock. To finish off the sentiment I used Simon's Large Joy wafer die.

On the inside of the card I stamped the large poinsettia image with Simon's Fossil ink, and then stamped more sentiments from the Winter Flower set with Evergreen and Dark Chocolate inks and that was it!

OK here's what I made:

I used Simon Says Stamp's Triangle Burst embossing folder on some Soft Navy card stock that I then blended Soft Navy and Black inks around the perimeter.

I die cut Simon's Matte Gold card stock using the Stylized Holy Star wafer die and stacked it with a couple of die cut layers from white card stock. The word Rejoice was die cut using the Large Rejoice wafer dies and also stacked. And gold splatter on the background and Studio Katia Gold Sparkle bling as is tradition 😉.

I finished off the insides of the cards with a sentiment from the CZ Design Good Cheer stamp set that I stamped with the Soft Navy ink. I paired the cards with some gold envelopes and that was it!

Hey friends! I've been in the middle of an upheaval as we moved my office into our attached garage (I discuss that a little more here on my FB page) and it's been a LONG and chaotic process. I'm getting back into filming amongst all the disorganization and whatnot but so far so good!

OK on to the newest cards!

I used Simon Says Stamp's Snowflake Visions embossing folder on pieces of smooth white card stock, and then ink blended the newest Pawsitively Saturated Inks over them to create an ombré effect. 

I stacked die cuts of the Merry & Bright wafer die set with white card stock and die cut the top layer from Simon's Glossy White card stock.

On the insides of the cards and on the envelopes I stamped the corner image from Simon's Snowflake Edges stamp set using the lightest of each ink trio, and then stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Silhouettes stamp set using the darkest of the ink trios.

OK on to my cards:

I have been LOVING making flat shaker cards lately. I have an entire playlist HERE on YouTube with all the videos I've created so far making them. I am loving them even more since I was shown by a lovely subscriber (thank you again Karen!) that you can hot foil ON the recycled packaging I've been using to make the flat shaker cards! I've shared two videos showing how to do that HERE and HERE if you missed them. And I couldn't resist doing it again today!

I used Simon's new Large Thank You Swirl Hot Foil Plate and foiled it onto the recycled packaging (I used the packaging that Simon's card stock comes in - so glad I've been holding on to all of it lol!) using my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System and Teal and Viridian Green Glimmer Foils.

On the backgrounds for both cards I used the new Holiday Boho Circle Stencil with several Distress Oxide inks (all the specific colors used are listed and linked in the supplies below). I was inspired by the new Glimmering Pines Sequin Mix for the colors and of course used those sequins in the shakers for these cards.

On the insides of the cards I used the Holiday Boho Circle Stencil with Simon's Fossil ink, and then stamped sentiments from the Thankful Wreath stamp set with Peacock Feathers and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks and that was it!

OK on to my card:

I used the new Pine Bouquet 3D Embossing Folder (LOOOOVVVEEE) - I embossed some Neenah Desert Storm card stock with the folder and then colored in all the raised areas with Copic markers. I then (of course) added splatter.

Simon's Peace Love Hope Joy wafer die was the perfect fit in the middle of this embossed panel. I stacked it with 2 layers die cut from Simon's Smooth White card stock and topped it with a layer die cut from Simon's Matte Gold Mirror card stock.

I kept the inside of the card simple and just added a panel of Desert Storm card stock that I stamped with one of the sentiments from the XL Christmas Greetings set with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink. I added one of Simon's gold envelopes and that finished it off!
