Hello friends! So this is part of this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:
You can check out what the rest of the team created with these colors HERE <------click! and play along yourself if you'd like!
Now obviously by the title I went with Halloween - as I'm kicking off my 2021 Halloween series! As per usual - no set schedule (I try and have tried many many times life always seems to have other plans). However I will always post links to previous posts etc etc. Speaking of, if you've missed any of my other Halloween series here are links to all the playlists of them since I started doing this a DECADE ago:
SO, I pulled out one of my all-time favorite (again as the title of the post gave away - I've kind of used this set MANY many times) stamp sets out - the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set, and made it into a Halloween card:
I stamped the Beautiful Flowers image onto Distress watercolor paper, masked it off and then stamped the Spider Web background over it with Simon's Fog ink. I used the Prima Classics watercolor palette to do some messy watercoloring and splattering in the colors for the challenge.
The Halloween sentiment is from the Handlettered Halloween stamp set and I die cut it with the coordinating wafer die. The spiders are from the Spook Up Some Halloween Fun stamp set.
On the inside of the card I stamped the Spider Web Background with Fog ink, then stamped the individual flowers from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set with Oxide inks. I stamped the web and spider and sentiment from the Spook Up Some Halloween Fun set and paired the card with a Metallic Orange Peel envelope and that was it!
