I turned the panel into a flat shaker using some recycled packaging and filled it with several different confetti and glitter mixes.
On the inside of the card I stamped the images from the Fly By set using the Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the sentiment from the same set, paired the card with a green metallic envelope and that was it!

Now obviously by the title I went with Halloween - as I'm kicking off my 2021 Halloween series! As per usual - no set schedule (I try and have tried many many times life always seems to have other plans). However I will always post links to previous posts etc etc. Speaking of, if you've missed any of my other Halloween series here are links to all the playlists of them since I started doing this a DECADE ago:
SO, I pulled out one of my all-time favorite (again as the title of the post gave away - I've kind of used this set MANY many times) stamp sets out - the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set, and made it into a Halloween card:
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.

These cards also use a favorite stamp set of mine - Simon Says Stamp's Wildflowers stamp set. I've done a bunch of posts and videos using this set since it was released:
So after I made all those backgrounds in the previous post I decided to use a couple of them to make these cards:
I rubbed Distress Micro Glaze over the backgrounds which made the colors pop just a bit more, and then white heat embossed the Wildflowers stamps over them.
On the insides of the cards I stamped the Wildflowers images using Distress Oxide inks and my blending foams to get a smoother stamped image and a gradient between the colors. I added the remaining die cut butterflies and paired the cards with some gold envelopes and that was it!

Hey friends! I hope y'all had a good weekend! I really LOVED the summery, sunset sort of color combo I had on my previous post HERE - so I decided to play with those colors and make some fun backgrounds. I used several Distress Oxide sprays to make some fun inky backgrounds and then embossed a couple of them with the new Pinpoint Starlets 3D Embossing Folder from Simon Says Stamp (this folder comes in the August card kit which I showed in my unboxing in THIS POST, but is also available separately HERE):
These inky backgrounds with this embossing folder just make me happy. I used Simon's White pigment ink and a blending tool to lightly rub ink over all the raised areas and make the pattern stand out a bit more.

So Honey Bee Stamp's Lovely Layers: Coneflower wafer die is back in stock (as of today - I am sure it will be sold out again by tonight it seems! But no worries - they will restock ASAP) and I wanted to share these cards I made using it:
These are 5 x 7" cards.
I die cut all the Coneflower pieces from Canson XL watercolor paper and then used a bunch of Distress Oxide Sprays to color them (all the colors I used are listed and linked in the supplies below).
The sentiments are from the Bloom Honey Cuts die set and coordinating Bloom stamp set. I die cut the word and stacked 3 layers together then blended Oxide inks over it before adhering to the outline die cut with vellum. The sentiments were white heat embossed onto black card stock then adhered with foam strips.
On the insides of the cards I added some splatter, and then stamped a sentiment from the My Favorite Flower set and that was it!

Hey everyone! So my August card kit from Simon Says Stamp showed up just the other day (I get them early as I'm on the SSS Design Team - they still sometimes take a little longer to get to me in Canada but still earlier than customers to give me a chance to make things for inspiration), so I have an unboxing plus card project to share with y'all using the Toadally Unfrogettable card kit:
This is a 3.25 x 6.25" Mini Slimline Card.
Of course I created a flat shaker card - was there any other option? (OK there were tons as there's a lot of fun stuff in this kit but flat shakers have been my obsession of late lol).
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.

Today's post is part of day 1 of 2 days of blog hops to share tons of inspiration using this new release. I'll have links to the other stops lower in my post as well as GIVEAWAY info at the end!
So after seeing all the star etc themed products in the Make Magic release I was immediately thinking of galaxy backgrounds. AND since Tim Holtz just released the new Prize Ribbon Distress ink color and how well that would go with the new Magical sequins pack it was all just meant to be IMO!
I then used one of Tonic's A2 shaker pockets and placed it on top of everything (with my past flat shakers I adhered the die cuts and whatnot to the outside of the shaker - this time I wanted to put it all on the inside and see how that looked). I filled it with the new Magical Sequins mix as well as some Studio Katia Chunky Stars glitter.
On the insides of the cards I stamped sentiments and stars from the Magical to Me stamp set, and then added a few more of the silver die cut Magic Stars and that was it!

Hey everyone! I'm back with another flat shaker card - if you've missed any of my posts with this recent obsession you can find them all at the links below:
The background was done with Simon's Waves slimline stencil and various Distress Oxide inks (specific colors used are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of the post!). I created the flat shaker with vellum this time to soften the background a bit (and make the cone stand out) and then filled it with confetti and sequins and chunky glitter.

SO exciting - today Tim Holtz revealed the NEW Distress color: Prize Ribbon!!!
Simon Says Stamp has all of it in stock HERE <------click! AND I received it early from SSS and made a card and video to share with y'all:
I channeled my inner Debby Hughes <-------click! and made a soft background using Distress Oxide Sprays on top of Canson XL watercolor paper. I then used Simon's Boho Circle Stencil and Crackle Paste over it.

If you don't follow me on my social medias (specifically Instagram and Facebook) you may not be aware of this awesome fundraiser that Simon Says Stamp is currently doing:
You can check out the Crafty Parcels at the links below (these are NOT affiliate links - 100% of the proceeds is going to charity):
Also, if you would prefer to forgo a Crafty Parcel and just want to make a donation directly to HDSA Central Ohio you can do that HERE <-------click!
This cause is very near and dear to Heidi (owner of SSS) who has lost family members to Huntington's, her hubby has it and there is a 50/50 chance of their children getting it. For more info about this fundraising effort as well as a list of just some of the amazing companies that have donated product (not only have companies donated TONS of product, a lot of wonderful people - including Heidi and her family and staff at SSS - are donating their time to fill these boxes. It's just heartwarming to see so many in this industry come together for a good cause) - check out the Simon Says Stamp blog post HERE <-------click!
I die cut all the pieces using the Market Cart Builder dies, then added the stripes to the awning and border using the Market Cart Builder Stencil and Distress Ink and a blender brush. And then I added splatter of course ;).

Here's what I made:
This is a 3.25 x 6.25" Mini Slimline Card.
I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's oldie-but-goodie Adeline Butterfly wafer die and die cut it multiple times from some Canson XL water-colour paper. I then used a bunch of Distress Reinkers to color them in, and once dry added splatter with white gouache.

Hey friends! So I'm late to the party as usual - and by party I mean last week's Color Throwdown Challenge. That said, I had the idea for my card brewing for a couple of nights and HAD to make it. You ever have that happen to you? You get inspired by something and start thinking of making a card inspired by and then you HAVE to try creating it. That was me. This was the inspiration:
You can see what the rest of the team created with these colours HERE <--- click! along with a ton more inspiration from everyone who played along (on time lol!).
This is what I made:
I used Simon Says Stamp's Leafy Branch wafer die and Clustered Leaves Wafer Die (the Clustered Leaves die is an olllllldie-but-goodie. I remember wanting that die SO bad way back in the day as it was such a new concept back then having wafer dies so large) and die cut them from some of Simon's card stocks.
On the inside of the card I stamped the wreath from the Garden Greetings set with Simon's Smoke ink, the sentiment in black and then added some of the little dots from the set stamped with Cheerful ink. I paired the card with a black envelope and that was it!
