Hey friends! It's the end of March already?!?! This month just FLEW by it seems.

OK onto today's card:

I die cut Simon Says Stamp's Bear Hugs wafer die from Canson XL watercolor paper and then I used Walnut Stain and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Sprays to color them. In the close up photo you can see how I added some gloss to their eyes and noses - I used my Sakura Black Glaze Gelly Roll pen for that.

On the background I used my still-favourite Spring Boho Circle Stencil with Crackle Paste, then made an inky, splattery mess using Speckled Egg, Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen and Picket Fence Sprays.

I did the same with the Etched Laurel Leaves die cuts - using Speckled Egg and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Sprays.

On the inside of the card I used the Spring Boho Circle Stencil and some Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. All the sentiments are from the Sassy Mama Sentiment Strips Pack. I applies Speckled Egg Distress Ink directly to them and then added a bit of the Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Spray and that was it!

Playing with Distress Oxide Sprays & Inks | AmyR 2021 Valentine's Card Series #17

OK onto today's cards:

These are 3.5 x 8.5" slimline cards.

I used Trinity Stamps Slimline Series Rainbow Builder wafer die set to create these scenes. I die cut the rainbow pieces from Canson Watercolor paper and then sprayed the pieces with Distress Oxide Sprays (specific colors are listed and linked in the supplies below).

I love the splattery looks I got from all the sprays on the rainbow rays. I used the other dies in the Slimline Series Rainbow Builder wafer die set and die cut white card stock with them to finish off my scenes.

The "thankful" die cut is from the Trinity Stamps Scripty Thanks wafer die set and I cut it from black card stock and stacked it with 3 layers to give it dimension. The "for you" sentiment is from the Falling For You stamp set.

I finished off the insides of the cards with more cloud pieces from the Slimline Series Rainbow Builder set and then added a sentiment from the Joyful Heart stamp set. I made coordinating slimline envelopes from some Doodlebug 12x12 patterned paper in my stash and the Trinity Stamps Slimline Series Envelope Builder Die Set and that was it!

Oxide Spray Backgrounds with Piercing Details

Hello friends! So I've gone RIGHT back to the sprays - I'm always jumping around trying and doing different things when it comes to card making. However my whole little obsession with my Distress Oxide Sprays and Distress Spray Stains as of late is still a thing. I am just really enjoying creating with them.

Before I get to the cards - this was this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I made:

I used Distress Oxide Sprays in Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet. I first die cut some Canson XL watercolor paper using Simon Says Stamp's Detail Bohemian Plate wafer die, then sprayed them with the Oxide Sprays.

Once they were dry I did a little water splattering and lifting then splattered Perfect Pearl Powder mixed with water.

I used Simon's Paper Hugs wafer die for the main sentiment and stacked it with layers cut from white card stock and then the top layer was die cut from Simon's Holographic card stock.

On the inside and outside of the cards I used sentiments from Simon's Inside Out Thank You Sentiment Strips and that finished them off!

Distress Ink Rainbow Wreath Cards

OK on to today's cards:

I used the new Painted Flowers Wreath stencil and blended a bunch of Distress Inks (specific colors are listed and linked in the supplies at the end of the post!) over it onto Distress Watercolor paper. I then sprayed it with water, added splatter with some of the inks and once dry, die cut the panels with one of Simon's Basic Rectangles wafer dies.

I used the new XL Greetings 2 set for the main greeting and white heat embossed it onto black card stock then die cut it with the coordinating wafer die. I added a little sentiment strip from the Family Sentiment Strips pack to finish it off.

On the insides of the cards I used the Painted Flowers Wreath Stencil and just blended the one flower, then added another sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 set and that was it!

No Line Watercolor with SSS Thoughtful Flower Stamp

Hey everyone! So Simon Says Stamp's All the Feels Release <--------click! just went live! I have this card and video to share with y'all and stay tuned for more!

This is a mini slimline 3.25 x 6.25" card.

I stamped the new wood mounted Thoughtful Flower stamp onto Arches Cold Press watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink and watercolored it with my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors.

Once the watercoloring was dry and the splatter was dry I die cut it with one of the Mini Slimline Rectangles wafer dies.

I used the new Large Chevron Pattern stencil on the card base and blended Speckled Egg Distress Ink over it.

On the inside of the card I lightly blended the Speckled Egg Distress ink over the Large Chevron Pattern Stencil, then stamped the Thoughtful Flower in the same ink. For the sentiments I used the new Welcome Spring Sentiment Strips and that was it!

And now on to today's cards:

I had a lot of requests to create with Honey Bee's Easter Basket Builder set after I showed it in my Spring Bliss Release & Review video. So that's what I did. 

I white heat embossed the basket images onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock and then added some ink blending with Wendy Vecchi Acorn ink (I LOVE the Wendy Vecchi Make Art inks - they blend beautifully and you can watercolor with them and stamp with them and the ink pads stack on top of each other (which is perfect b/c I have no more space for ink pad storage lol). I used the coordinating wafer dies to cut out the pieces and make the basket.

I clear heat embossed the eggs from the Easter Basket Builder set onto white card stock and blended several of the WV inks (specific colors listed in the supplies!) over them before die cutting them with the coordinating wafer dies.

I used the Quatrefoil A2 Coverplate Top wafer die and Quatrefoil A2 Coverplate Base wafer die to create the background from Sea Glass card stock. I LOVE that piercing detail (remember waaaaayyyy back when when we would use metal stencils and add piercing details by hand with a paper piercer? All that work....) on the base wafer die.

I used more of the eggs (and "chocolate" bunny) from the Easter Basket Builder set on the insides of my cards. The sentiments were all white heat embossed on black card stock and are from the Hoppy Easter sentiment set. I die cut the sentiments with the coordinating wafer dies and that was it!

Die Cut Leaves with Distress Spray Stains

Hey everyone! So I'm back to playing with sprays. This time mostly my Distress Spray Stains, with just one Distress Oxide Spray thrown in for good measure.

I created some fun spray-ey, splatter-ey backgrounds on Distress Mixed Media Heavystock using several shades of green Distress Spray Stains along with some Speckled Egg goodness.

Once the backgrounds were done I stamped all the leaves from the Trinity Stamps Autumn Rainbow set onto them with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed them with the coordinating Distress Embossing Glaze. I then die cut them all with the coordinating Autumn Rainbow wafer die set.

I die cut some white card stock using one of Trinity's Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack wafer dies - it's subtle but the dies cut and also emboss a thin line close to the cut line. I just love that little "extra". I then used one of the Trinity Stamps A-2 Foundations Rectangle stencils to mask off the perimeter and blended Speckled Egg and Crushed Olive Distress Inks over it.

I finished off the inside of the card with the remaining stamped and die cut leaves and that was it!

Now for my card. I bought the Mama Elephant Milkshake set when it came out (I am an avid collector of Mama Elephant stamps and dies lol - I just love them) and finally got a chance to make something with this UBERcute set:

I stamped the images onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink and then coloured them in with Copic markers and added highlights with my favorite white gel pen.

On the background I ink blended 3 different dye inks (specific colors linked in the supplies below) with blending brushes and splattered with those same inks. I was very much going for a Neapolitan ice cream look here (one of my fave kinds of ice cream - strawberry, chocolate and vanilla all in one - yes please).

On the inside of the card I stamped one of the sentiments from the Milkshake set and added a few of the images and that was it!

SO - like I said - it's that day. I meant to have cards up waaaaayyyy long ago but man, I am just struggling with a lot lately! Anywho - I made this for the color challenge and had to get this up at least on the right day:

So I assembled my little Leprechaun, and then used CZ Designs Good Luck wafer die for the main sentiment. I also used the Clovers Stencil on the background with Simon's Green Apple ink.

On the inside of the card I used the Clovers stencil with the Green Apple ink again, and then added some sentiments from the Lucky Sentiment Strips pack that I'd colored with a green Copic marker. I paired the card with one of Simon's Gold envelopes and that was it!

Oxide Spray Diecuts + Stencil Background Take 2

Hey friends! So I posted this card and video <-----click! the other day and yeah.... I am just LOVING creating with sprays and die cuts. It's a definite phase at the moment for me, I have this card and video to share with y'all today and hopefully I can create some more because it's just FUN. If you don't have any of the Distress Sprays or Distress Oxide Sprays just work with what you've got. Experimenting with inks and creating backgrounds and die cuts and just all of it can be so much fun plus you never know what combo you'll come up with.

I of course used Simon Says Stamp's Spring Boho Circle Stencil - I can't put that thing down. I sprayed Antique Linen Distress Oxide Spray onto watercolor paper and once it was dry I used the stencil with some crackle paste. Then while creating the other elements of the card I added other bits of splatter till I was happy with it.

To create the flower I die cut Simon's Cosmo Flower Petals from the same watercolor paper. The petals were sprayed with Picked Raspberry in both the Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray. The flower centre was a combo of Walnut Stain Distress Spray Stain and the Antique Linen Distress Oxide Spray.

For the CZ Design Just Because die cut I used Peacock Feathers in both the Distress Spray Stain and Distress Oxide Spray.

On the inside of the card I used the Spring Boho Circle Stencil with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and a blending brush, and then added a sentiment from the Inside Friendship Messages stamp set and that was it!

So the other day I was drooling over this card and video that Debby posted <----click! I LOVE Debby's cards, I've raved about her multiple times lol. I am a big fan and draw a lot of inspiration from her watercoloring and whatnot. So I was definitely channeling her card and decided to play around with my Distress Oxide Sprays and die cuts and stencils and made this card:

I created a splattery background on watercolor paper using Speckled Egg, Tea Dye, Weathered Wood and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Sprays. It's REALLY hard to see in the pics but I used Simon Says Stamp's Spring Boho Circle Stencil with Crackle Paste over the stencil (the crackle paste I've been using dries more transparent than what I link to and recommend to you all. My order of the Ranger Crackle Paste will get here eventually lol!).

I die cut Simon's Etched Laurel Leaves wafer dies from watercolor paper, and added Bundled Sage and Tea Dye Distress Oxide Sprays. From the same watercolor paper I die cut the Bitty Birdhouse wafer die set and used Weathered Wood and Tea Dye Distress Oxide Spray. 

The Thanks sentiment is from Simon's Happy Thanks Giving wafer die set.

On the inside of the card I used the Spring Boho Circle Stencil and blended some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink over it. I then stamped (one of my FAVORITE) a sentiment from the Thankful Heart stamp set using a combo of Simon's Khaki ink and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I paired the card with a Metallic Khaki envelope and that was it!

Now for today's cards:

These are 3.5 x 8.5" slimline cards.

I die cut some white card stock using Honey Bee Stamps Basketweave Slimline Cover Plate wafer die. I then die cut several papers from the Pretty Pastels paper pack using Honey Bee's Build an Egg wafer die set and layered them onto white card stock.

I white heat embossed sentiments from the Hoppy Easter stamp set on black card stock and die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies. I also added some bling using the Playful Pastels Gem Stickers.

On the inside of the card I added another sentiment from the Hoppy Easter set. I then die cut the scraps of patterned paper using the Itty Bitty Eggs wafer die and added them and that was it!

Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin' Birthday Card

Hello everyone!

Today's card uses some oldie-but-goodie stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn that I had bought ages ago. I have collected Lawn Fawn everything for years lol - and it's nice to pull some out and actually use it 😉:

I used the Meow You Doin' stamp and die set as the main focus of the card. I stamped the images onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock with Simon Says Stamp's Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copics. I used some of the same Copics to color a portion of the card stock that I die cut with number dies from the CZ Design Everett Numbers set.

I die cut some aqua card stock with one of Lawn Fawn's Fancy Folded Banners wafer dies and stamped a sentiment from the Meow You Doin' Set onto it before using some of the Copics to darken the edges.

I finished off the inside of the card with images and sentiments from the Meow You Doin' set and that was it!

Mini Slimline Spring Cards | AmyR 2021 Easter Card Series #2

Hello friends!

I made 2 cards for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I made:

These are 3.25 x 6.25" Mini Slimline Cards.

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Hello Easter Stamp and Die Combo set and used just the floral images. I stamped them onto Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers.

On the background I used the Spring Boho Circle Stencil and Crackle Paste. After it was dry I mixed up some Distress Paints to get that green color and splattered it onto the background. 

For the main sentiment I used the Spring Blessings wafer die and stacked 3 layers together with Craft Tacky glue to get the dimension I like.

On the insides of the cards I stamped a sentiment from the Bunny Butt Peek A Boo stamp set with the Intense Black ink then added a couple more of the flowers I'd stamped and coloured. I paired the cards with Lemon Chiffon Mini Slimline envelopes and that was it!
