I couldn't resist making them with my favorite gold, black and white color combo. It's just so perfect. I first embossed the Snowflake Oval Frame 3D embossing folder using Simon's white card stock, and then splattered the backgrounds with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.

I die cut gold glitter paper with the Holly & Pine Frame wafer die, adhered it and then adhered the large die cut Peace over that. 

On the insides of the cards I stamped the large snowflake from the Snowflake Season stamp set using Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I added sentiments from the Reverse Holiday Sentiment Strips pack to the outside and inside of the cards and that was it!

Now back to my post:

I still have Christmas cards I want to make. I didn't get to make all the ones I wanted for this years series PLUS it's nice to get some made now to have on hand for next year.

I white heat embossed the Gift Boxes background stamp onto black card stock, then coloured in all the ribbons and bows using my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor palette.

I pulled out my oldie-but-goodie Season's Greetings wafer die and stacked it using black cardstock and gold glitter cardstock. I also added a "happy holidays" cut from the CZ Design Reverse Christmas Sentiment Strips.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Gift Boxes background using Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I paired the cards with gold envelopes and that was it!

Since it's still DieCember - and this awesome sale is going on - I decided to make a couple of cards using only wafer dies:

These are 3.5 x 8.5" slimline cards.

I pulled out my DoodleBug Love Notes collection to pair with the wafer dies and card stocks. I die cut some of the patterned papers and card stocks using the Love on a Line wafer die set from Simon Says Stamp, and adhered them to a panel die cut with one of the Slimline Nested Rectangles wafer dies.

The "you" is from the I Love You wafer die set - I die cut and stacked just the "you" word to add to each of the cards, then added a bunch of Doodlebug Sprinkles from the collection to finish it all off.

The envelopes were made using Simon's Slimline Envelope wafer dies and more of the patterned paper.

To finish the insides of the cards I just used stickers from the collection and created a couple of mini scenes and that was it!

Easy Snowflake Winter Greetings Cards | SSS Prismatic Snowflakes Take 2

Hey friends!! I hope you all have been having as wonderful a holiday season as possible. There's been a lot going on behind the scenes, lots of good holiday stuff (with 5 kids and pets and all of us cooped up at home it gets a little crazy but it was still a great Christmas!) and then drama in regards to crashing computers, social media issues etc. Basically it was one thing after another contributing to me just disappearing for the last week and a half - and for whatever reason it felt like a LOT longer than that. 

All that said - I'm back! I was able to get the laptop fixed/working/whatever (I'm still hoping I can get more use out of it before being forced to get a new one), and I'm still dealing with some of my social media issues but that's not relevant to this post.

I think I've said it a million times this winter that my love for snowflake stamps is like my love for floral stamps LOL! I can never have enough. I'll never not love a new snowflake set. They're just a lot of fun to create with:

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Prismatic Snowflakes stamp and die set to make these pink snowflake cards. I white heat embossed all the snowflakes from the set onto Doll Pink and Cotton Candy card stock and then die cut them with their coordinating wafer dies.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Snowflake Season stamp set onto more of the card stock used for the snowflakes. Rather than white splatter I did pink splatter using Distress Paints in Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries and Spun Sugar. 

On the insides of the cards I added another sentiment from the Snowflake Season stamp set and stamped more of the Prismatic Snowflakes using Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks and that was it!

SSS January 2021 Card Kit Unboxing + 12 Cards!! | Snowflake Season

Hey everyone! So Simon Says Stamp released their January 2021 card kit just the other day and mine showed up this week! I lost no time filming and unboxing and ended up making TWELVE cards:

The patterned papers that come in the kit are fabulous and I ended up embossing all of them using the Filigree Snowflakes embossing folder that comes in the kit.

I die cut the silver holographic paper using the Eliza Snowflake wafer die from the kit and added that to all the cards. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Season stamp set in the kit and I stamped that with several different Simon inks (all the colors used are listed in the supplies below) and then die cut with one of the Nested Circles wafer dies. 

On the insides of all the cards I stamped the big snowflake border stamp from the Snowflake Season set using the same inks as the front and then added another sentiment from the set using Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink and that was it!

3D Embossing Folder 2 Ways | AmyR Christmas 2020 Series #18

Hello friends!! Ahhhhhh this month is just flying by it seems! Anywho - I have another set of Christmas cards to share with y'all - this time using one of the new 3D embossing folders from Simon Says Stamp:

Simon released several 3D embossing folders with their Holly Jolly release last month. This Forest Border one sold out FAST but it's back in stock so yay! Therefor I had to get these cards posted b/c they're fun and easy and the whole 3D embossing effect is so much fun.

I used Neenah Desert Storm card stock and after running it through with the Forest Border Embossing Folder I added a BUNCH (of course) splatter with Perfect Pearl powder mixed with water and also Picket Fence Distress Paint splatter.

To "step it up" with these cards I used the same card stock but this time applied Speckled Egg, Chipped Sapphire and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks to the embossing folder before running it through. I show in the video how I used a brayer to get the inks applied smoothly to the one side of the embossing folder and it makes the PERFECT background to the embossed trees.

I added the same splatter to these and then stacked die cuts using the Large Written Merry Christmas wafer die. I added sentiment strips from the Reverse Holiday pack to finish off the fronts.

On the insides of the cards I stamped sentiments from the CZ Design Good Cheer stamp set using the same Oxide inks I used on the card fronts. And that was it!

Happy Gnomes Cards & Tags | AmyR Christmas 2020 Series #17

Hello friends! WooHoo!! I'm at post/video #17 in my 2020 Christmas card series. My plan is to always do 25 (at least - maybe.....MAYBE I can squeeze in a few more - I have more ideas and stamps and dies than I have time for every year (and always buying more....🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️)) but we shall see how many I can post this year! If you missed any of this years I have links to all of them at the end of this post.

Recently Waffle Flower released several more of their patterned paper pads:

If you aren't familiar with Waffle Flowers patterned paper packs - they're 80lb weight and measure 8.5 x 5.5". So if you score the sheet in half you have a patterned A2 card base. I did a post when they first started releasing patterned paper here:

NEW Waffle Flower Patterned Paper Packs!

Waffle Flower sent me some of their new Christmas papers and the Happy Gnomes stamp set which coordinates with the Happy Gnomes paper pack. I couldn't resist making a bunch of cards and tags using them:

I stamped all the images from the Happy Gnomes stamp set onto Bristol Smooth card stock with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed them with Wow's Clear Matte Dull embossing powder. I used my Karin Brushmarker Pro's and a water brush to color them all in:

After they were all dry I die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies and then die cut a bunch of the papers from the Happy Gnomes paper pack to make all these cards and tags:

I used Waffle Flowers Oversized Merry wafer die set and the companion stamp set for these two cards. I stacked the die cut Merry 3 times with white card stock then ink blended Simon's Green Apple and Green Leaf inks over it using a blending brush.

I splattered Picket Fence Distress paint on 2 different papers from the Happy Gnomes paper pack and used those to create scenes for my cards. The mushroom papers from the pack I die cut with a circle wafer die to create a spotlight for the images and sentiments. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Waffle Flowers Essential Sentiments combo set with the coordinating wafer dies.

On the insides of all the cards I used the patterned papers from the Happy Gnomes paper pack - all the little characters in the papers are the same size as the stamp set so you can use the coordinating wafer dies for the stamp set on the papers. I die cut a bunch of them and used them to create little scenes on the insides of all the cards. 

I stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Hugs stamp set onto the inside of all the cards using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. I just love the "sending paper hugs" sentiment from the Holiday Hugs set - I should just use that on every single card I make really LOL!

Last but not least I made some tags with the images and sentiments I had left. I used the Combo Swatch Tag wafer die set to die cut several of the Happy Gnomes patterned papers and adhered all the elements to them.

To finish off all the cards and tags I used several different Nuvo Crystal Drops (specific colors are listed and linked below!) and let those dry and that was it!

Waffle Flower Gentle Flowers Slimline Card | Oxide Ink Blending

Hello friends!! Today is Waffle Flower's December release! You can check out all the new products HERE as well at at the links below. Today's post is part of a blog hop to share inspiration for this release so I'll have links to the other designers below AND there's a giveaway at the end too!

SO MUCH INSPIRATION with this release. Here's what I made:

This is a 3.5 x 8.5" slimline card.

Of course I fell in love with the new Tender Blooms stamp and die combo. Y'all know I love big floral stamps and this one is HUGE. I stamped the florals onto watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink and heat embossed it with Wow's Clear Matt Dull embossing powder. I then coloured it all in using my Prima Vintage Pastels watercolor palette, added a TON of splatter and once dry die cut it with the coordinating wafer die.

The background was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks (all the colors are listed and linked below in the supplies) onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I then die cut the panel with the largest of the Waffle Flower Slim Lacy Layers dies before adhering it to my card.

I stamped the large floral from the Tender Blooms set onto the inside of the card with Cobblestone ink, and onto a Cotton Candy pink slimline envelope with Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink. The sentiments on the inside and outside of the card are from the new Tender Thoughts stamp set.

Gold, Black & White Snowflake Frame Cards | AmyR Christmas 2020 Series #16

Hey friends! After I posted my DieCember Release & Review video:

Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release & Review!

I HAD to make these cards. The idea just wouldn't go away and y'all KNOW how much I love me some black, white and gold cards:

I used the new Snowflake Frame wafer die and die cut some gold glitter card stock with it. I then gold heat embossed the largest sentiment from the CZ Design Good Cheer stamp set onto black cardstock and die cut it with one of Simon's Basic Rectangle wafer dies. It fits PERFECTLY over the Snowflake Frame so that the gold sparkly snowflakes all peek out around it.

I added white snowflakes I'd die cut using the dies from the Snowflake Frame set, and added another sentiment from the Good Cheer stamp set. The background panel was die cut with Simon's new Detail Bohemian Plate from black card stock and adhered to the card front.

On the insides of the cards I added a gold heat embossed and die cut sentiment from the Good Cheer set. I finished them off with some gold sparkle snowflakes from the Snowflake Frame die set and paired the cards with gold envelopes and that was it!

As I mentioned this is part of a blog hop - day one of two days of hops! I'll have links to the stops lower down in the post and there will be a giveaway as well!

First off here's the cards I made:

I used the new Sneaky Kitties wafer die from the DieCember release and created simple tri-fold cards by making the black cardstock I die cut the kitties from into a 3rd panel.

I blended Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks onto card bases made with Desert Storm card stock. I then applied Winter White Nuvo Glacier Paste over Simon's Large Falling Snow stencil and heavily splattered the card fronts with Picket Fence Distress Paint.

I die cut the black panels with the Sneaky Kitties wafer die and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Christmas Kitties stamp set. The bands to hold the cards closed were made with Simon's new Strips 2 wafer dies and some Cotton Candy card stock.

On the insides of the cards I stamped images and sentiments from the Christmas Kitties stamp set and that was it!
