Hello everyone!! It's been a quiet couple of weeks on my end. I'll copy/paste what I posted on my social media:
"For those wondering where I’ve been - I’d posted on IG (forgot to post here too - sorry!) that my glasses broke a couple+ weeks ago. Bc of COVID etc it took a while to get an eye appointment (haven’t had one in over 7 years - I was waaaaayyyy overdue for that). My prescription changed plus I now have astigmatism in both eyes (and my prescription is different in both eyes as well so I couldn’t get temporary readers as some suggested to me).
There were delays on the glasses, plus me having to switch between NO glasses, temporary daily contacts for astigmatism, reading glasses made for me to work (edit etc) and new proper prescription glasses. Long story short? It’s been a LITERAL headache, I couldn’t see, and adjusting to the new prescription and all the hoops I was jumping through was bringing on a lot of eye fatigue and headaches. Hence the lack of posts and videos Bc I just couldn’t handle it. Chris was helping a TON extra as I can’t drive without glasses, I had so many headaches and it’s just been crazy.
That said - I got my new glasses. The work ones are great - still adjusting to the “everyday” ones and not easily able to switch between them yet. But I can now edit and answer emails and all that jazz. So I’ll have lots of videos coming - just working on the editing!! ❤️"
So there's the story. I'm still adjusting and have SOOOOO much to catch up on (this all being my full-time+ job means "breaks" like this drastically affect my income etc) but I'll get there!
The card and video I'm sharing now was for this Color Throwdown Challenge:

I loved these colors and I LOVE that flower bouquet so I pulled out an oldie-but-goodie favorite set from my stash: Simon Says Stamp's Sketch Ranunculus:
This is a 3.5 x 8.5" slimline card.
I stamped the ranunculus and leaves from the Sketch Ranunculus set onto Distress watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed them with Wow Clear Matt Dull embossing powder.
They were all coloured in with Karin Brushmarker Pro's and a water brushed and then trimmed out. This stamp set was released years ago and I didn't realize there were coordinating wafer dies for it (need!) and you can get it as a set as well. I'll have the options linked in the supplies!
One of the small butterflies from Simon's Beautiful Butterflies set was stamped onto vellum and heat embossed with Inkon3's Black as Night embossing powder before being die cut with the coordinating wafer die. I used sentiments from the same set on the main panel of the card as well.
I stamped the ranunculus and leaves on the inside of the card and on the slimline envelope using Distress Oxide inks. I added sentiments from the Beautiful Butterflies set and the last heat embossed vellum butterfly to the inside of the card and that was it!
