Well hello everyone! I haven't been posting much this month - December has turned into a bit of a chaotic mess for all sorts of reasons. However things are evening out and I am DETERMINED to continue with my Christmas card series (links at the end of the post to all the other videos thus far if you've missed any!) as I still need more to mail out. And yeah....still need to mail them out to. How does this month just fly by so quickly?
So I made a BUNCH of cards and some tags too! I had Studio Katia's holiday release sitting here (I did a Release & Review video on all the new products HERE) and used quite a bit of it along with Distress Oxide inks and sparkle and bling.
For all my cards and tags I used Distress Oxide inks (specific colors listed and linked with the supplies), and on top of that I sprayed Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Craft Spray. I LOVE this spray - it's the prettiest sparkle (and you can get it in a combo pack mini bottle set HERE). I did a video here <----click! using the gold version which is fabulous as well. You can never have enough sparkle lol.
First off, 2 cards with matching envelopes using the Studio Katia Floral Snowflake stencil, and sentiment from the Poinsettia Border stamp set.
I used the same Floral Snowflake Stencil on the inside of the card, and the sentiment from Simon's Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set.
For the next 2 cards and matching envelopes I used the Studio Katia Snowflake Stencil (and Pixie Spray) along with the same sentiment from the Poinsettia Border set.
On all these cards I added Icy Sparkle Crystals - they're clear with a pretty iridescent/silver sparkle in them - perfect for cards like this.
Next up I made 4 cards. I started by blending the Distress Oxides all over the card bases, then sprayed them with the Sparkle spray. Once I made sure everything was completely dry I white heat embossed the snowflakes from the Studio Katia Snowflakes stamp set onto all the cards.
I stamped all the insides of the cards as well as the envelopes with the Snowflakes using the same Oxide inks I used for all the blending.
For my final 2 cards I masked off a circle on my card fronts using Yupo paper and one of Simon's Nested Circle wafer dies, and blended on the Oxide inks. I then used Studio Katia's Snow-fetti stencil with Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste over the blended circles and let that dry completely.
I used Studio Katia's Happy Snowmen stamp set and coordinating wafer dies for all the images that I stamped and coloured with Copics. The tree in the set was stamped with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink.
I used the Snow-fetti stencil on the envelopes as well just blending the same Distress Oxide inks onto them. I used SK's Blender brushes for that as it's a more detailed stencil and the blender brushes get into those tiny spaces.
To finish it all off I made tags!! Not just any tags though - slider tags!! I used Studio Katia's Slider Tag die set and die cut more Oxide Ink blended and Sparkle Spray backgrounds. The "slider" portion I die cut from black card stock that I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Gift Tag Greetings - Winter stamp set. I also used that set to stamp a sentiment on the inside of the tag.
I finished off all the tags with more Happy Snowmen, Icy Sparkle Crystals and some May Arts black and white bakers twine.
