Easy Winter Floral Layering Stencilled Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #12

Hey everyone!! I don't know about y'all but it feels INSANE that it's the end of November already!! 

Anywho - I made more Christmas cards!! I have been itching to use the Winter Floral Layering Set stencils from Simon Says Stamp ever since they sent them to me with the Cheer & Joy release. What I loved most about this stencil set is that they're a set of 4 so it makes it super easy to use multiple colors and not have to be careful about where you're placing the color. So I was able to knock out 4 cards in not a whole lot of time:

I combined the Winter Floral Layering Stencil Set with several different SSS dye inks (all the specific colors listed below) over Simon's 120lb white card stock. After that was done I splattered Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Spray over the backgrounds, then coated them with Gold Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray. 

I used the Joyful Frame wafer die for my sentiments. Tonic's Gold Pearl Satin card was used for the sentiment and frame portion and then I die cut the "backing" from vellum before adhering them together. I of course added a bunch of bling to all the cards as well lol!

The insides of the cards and the flaps of all the envelopes were stamped with sentiments from Simon's Inside Christmas Greetings stamp set and that was it!

OK on to my cards:

These cards were so fun and pretty quick and easy to make!!

I used Simon Says Stamp's Ho Ho Ho stencil that came out yeaarrrrssss ago but I just bought it recently as it escaped my notice till now. I wanted to use it with my Nuvo Glacier Pastes - so that's what I did.

I applied Nuvo Haute Red Glacier Paste to the first card and Sea Sprite Glacier Paste to the second. On both cards I put together a Picture Book Santa that I die cut from various card stocks (linked below) and highlighted with a white gel pen.

I finished off the insides of the cards with a sentiment and snowflakes from the (what else lol?!) Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Easy No-Coloring Poinsettia Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #10

Hello everyone!! I hope all my American peeps had a wonderful Thanksgiving (as I'm Canadian our Thanksgiving was in October) and for everyone else I hope y'all had a happy Thursday! 😉

OK on to today's cards:

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Poinsettia Background stamp and made 2 quick and easy Christmas cards!

Afre gold heat embossing the background onto Simon's Soft Navy card stock I carefully filled in the areas between the poinsettia's with a Copic Special Black marker. I was careful not to touch the gold embossing (or as little as possible) as Copics tend to absorb or melt embossed images and it can clog up the nibs of your markers. I didn't have any issues with this here as I kept it minimal.

I did some blending around the edges with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks and added some gold splatter. I also added gold thread and Studio Katia Crystals in Midnight Blue and Gold Sparkle.

The coolest part (for me) with these cards were the sentiments. I used Simon's Extra Large Christmas Sentiment Strips. As these are printed with toner ink onto Simon's 120lb card stock - they CAN be foiled - so that's what I did! I ran them through my laminator with Gold Deco Foil and it worked perfectly!

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the Poinsettia Background with the Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink. I then added another foiled sentiment from the Extra Large Christmas Sentiment Strips and that was it!

Sparkling Christmas Bulbs Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #9

Here's what I made:

I used Simon Says Stamp's Pine Bough stencil and blended Green Apple, Green Leaf and Dark Chocolate inks over it.

To create the bulbs I used Simon's Christmas Bulbs wafer dies and die cut them from Simon's Teal Glitter card stock, Tonic Silver Screen and Candy Floss glitter cards. For the toppers I used Tonic's Holo Waves Mirror card.

I finished off the cards and the insides of the cards with sentiments from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Lil Gnome Christmas Cards | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #8

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a good weekend! As promised I made some cards with Simon's December Card Kit - if you missed my unboxing video of that kit you can check it out here:

Simon Says Stamp December 2019 Card Kit Unboxing | Plus GIVEAWAY!

So I ended up making 6 Christmas cards with the Lil Gnome wafer die that comes in the kit along with other elements from it:

These cards were SO fun to make!! I used the Lil Gnome wafer die and die cut the pieces from Simon's 120 lb white card stock and the Photoplay Kringle patterned paper that comes in the December kit. To add some definition (and color to the noses) I used Copic markers - just quick and easy.

I used the Gnome for the Holidays set for the sentiments and snowflakes - and the coordinating wafer dies to die cut all the snowflakes. 

I finished off all the insides of the cards with another sentiment from the Gnome for the Holidays set and stamped the snowflakes with Simon's Smoke ink and that was it!

As usual I was literally inspired by the graphic for my card - as the colors really are perfect for snowmen:

I started with Simon Says Stamp's Falling Snow stencil and used white embossing paste as well as a bit of glitter to create my background. 

I pulled out Simon's Picture Book Snowman wafer die and die cut and put him together with washi tape and gave him a backbone (LOL see the video for that). For the snowflakes I used Simon's silver glitter paper and 3 different snowflake wafer dies (all linked below!) and then used the Merry Frame wafer die for my sentiment.

I also pulled out Studio Katia's Ripe Persimmon Pearls to add more of the orange touches to my cards - they worked PERFECTLY. So happy when that happens!

I finished off the insides of the cards with snowflakes and sentiments from Simon's Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set. I also heat embossed the snowflakes onto matching Burnt Orange envelopes to tie everything together and that was it!

MFT Festive Friends Cards & Tags | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #6

Hello everyone!! I'm back with another Christmas card (multiple cards plus tags!) for my series! If you've missed any that I've posted so far you can find 'em all at the links below:

I used My Favorite Things Festive Friends stamp set and stamped all the images onto Copic friendly card stock (Linked below) and coloured them in with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Die-namics set to die cut all the images and then set to building all the little scenes for the cards and tags.

MFT's Simple Snowflakes Background was clear heat embossed onto the card bases and tag bases, then Hero Arts Reactive inks in Blue Raspberry and Pool Party were blended over them using Studio Katia Blender Brushes.

I used MFT's Treat Tag Die-namics for the tag bases (I did a post HERE with those tags making them into Valentines treats), and then used the Snowy Hillside Die-namics to create my scenes.

I finished off the insides of the cards with simple little scenes and more sentiments from the Festive Friends stamp set and that was it!

Gnomes and Snowflakes Cards and Tags | AmyR 2019 Christmas Series #5

Hello everyone! This week's Color Throwdown Challenge was an interesting one (for this time of year!):

Normally with colors like this I'd create a card with florals - BUT I am in full Christmas card mode so I decided to go with gnomes instead lol!

I used Simon Says Stamp's Gnome wafer die and die cut all the parts from various colors of card stock (all linked below) and then used Copic markers to add some shading to the various parts of the gnome. I made more than one card and also made a couple of tags while I was at it using Simon's Large Tags wafer die set.

I built the sentiments using CZ Designs Merry wafer dies and a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set. I also die cut snowflakes using the new Marie Snowflake wafer die - the stamped snowflakes are from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 set.

I added bling to the cards and tags with a mix of Studio Katia crystals in colors that matched the card stocks I used.

To finish the insides of the cards I stamped another sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 set and stamped the snowflakes again and that was it!

Studio Katia Paws for Kindness Card | Copics

Hello everyone!! I'm part of a great blog hop today to share inspiration for the NEW Studio Katia bundle release called Paws for Kindness. There's a stamp & die set, as well as 2 new stencils: Mini Paws and Love for Paws.

Here's what I made with this bundle:

I stamped the little boy and his pets from the Paws for Kindness set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Inkon3's Blackout ink and coloured in the images with Copic markers. I used a Gel Roll broad white gel pen to add some dots and highlights to the images and then die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies.

There are 2 stencils that come in the bundle. I used the Love for Paws stencil and ran it through my Platinum 6 machine with the embossing setup to dry emboss the stencil onto the heart shaped card stock - it's such a subtle look and I love using stencils like this to get that effect!

The other stencil - Mini Paws - was used on the card front and I blended some grey ink over it with a Studio Katia blender brush.

I finished off the inside of the card with another heart that I stamped the boy and his pets on and then added some more sentiments from the Paws for Kindness stamp set and that was it!

Studio Katia Winter 2019 Release & Review!

Ahhhh another thing checked off my "to-do list" LOL! I've had the Studio Katia Winter 2019 release sitting here for a bit with the intention of filming a Release & Review video before I organize it and start using these stamps and dies.

I got it done to share with y'all - I really like doing these videos and just sharing the products that are sent to me (or that I buy) and the random thoughts I have on how I would use them etc. And since a LOT of you tell me you enjoy these videos quite a bit I'm going to continue doing them!
