Quick Experiment with Nuvo Glacier Paste | SSS Tumbling Leaves Stencil

Hey everyone!! So I couldn't resist making another card with the colors for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. You can check out the challenge HERE <-----click! and if you missed my first card you can find that here:

Now on to today's card:

I experimented a bit with Nuvo Glacier paste (I'll have another video coming - most likely this weekend! - using more of these!) and embossing powder.

So I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Tumbling Leaves stencil, and applied Green Envy Nuvo Glacier Paste over it. Right after applying it I sprinkled on some Ranger Lemon Drop Speckle embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. It created this neat speckled, foiled look and I really liked it!

For my sentiments I used the CZ Design Thankful 1 wafer die set and sentiments from the CZ Design Days of Thankful stamp set. I stacked the die cut sentiment to give it some dimension and popped the little stamped sentiment strips on with some foam tape.

To complete the "color challenge" of the card I added some Studio Katia March Crystals to bring in some of the turquoise.

I finished off the inside of the card with the Tumbling Leaves stencil and blending Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks, and then stamped another sentiment with Blueprint Sketch Oxide ink and that was it!

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Thankful Flowers stamp set - it comes in the SSS October Card Kit (that is still available as of posting this but the kit will probably be sold out right away) but it's available individually as well.

OK on to today's card:

I heat embossed the large flower cluster and one of the sentiments from the Thankful Flowers stamp set onto Bee watercolor paper. I then used my Prima Woodlands watercolor set to do some easy "messy" watercoloring. 

I added some splatter (of course) as well as some shimmer with Perfect Pearl powder. The final bit of bling is courtesy Studio Katia crystals in 2 different colors (linked below!).

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the floral image again - this time with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I heat embossed another sentiment from the Thankful Flowers set and that was it!

4 Cards 1 Kit | Simon Says Stamp Nov 2019 Card Kit

Hello everyone!!

So I posted an Unboxing Video of the Simon Says Stamp November card kit:

And I made 4 cards with it to share with y'all today!

I used the Woodland Whimsy stamp set that comes in the kit and stamped the images onto Bee Watercolor paper with Fallen Leaves Versafine Clair ink. I then used the watercolor pan set that comes in the kit to color them all in.

SSS Fall Frenchies Halloween Card | AmyR Halloween 2019 Video #13

I used Simon's Stitched Rectangle wafer dies to die cut the watercolor paper as well as to die cut the patterned paper that comes in the kit. I also added some cute little hearts from my stash just to finish everything off.

On the insides of the cards I stamped the sentiment from the Woodland Whimsy set with the Fallen Leaves ink then stamped the little leafy sprigs with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink and that was it!

SSS Fall Frenchies Halloween Card | AmyR Halloween 2019 Video #13

Happy weekend everyone! I just finished uploading my video with my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge:

Here's what I made:

I stamped images from Simon Says Stamp's Fall Frenchies stamp set onto Bee Watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves ink. I then used the watercolor pan set that came in the November Card Kit to color in all the images before die cutting them with the coordinating wafer dies.

I used Simon's Bare Tree Oval Collage wafer die for my background, and the CZ Design Boo Word + Shadow wafer die too. For embellishments I used some Nuvo drops in various finishes (all linked in the supplies below).

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the frenchie image with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink and then stamping another sentiment from the Fall Franchies set with the Fallen Leaves ink and that was it!

Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes.. The post can be notoriously slow especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless! If you ever want to check out previous months Happy Mail Haul videos you can find them all here:

If you want to send ahead and mail cards for multiple themes in the same package I am totally OK with that. It helps if you add a sticky note or something to mark what month each card is for. Please do not send more than 2 cards for each theme (so there are the 3 upcoming months therefore 6 cards in total). I cannot accept large packages/boxes of cards. I don't have anywhere to store large amounts plus it takes up a lot of my time to film/edit/upload these videos and limiting the submissions to 2 per person ensures it's fair for everyone. Thank you for understanding!

If you are interested in donating your cards there are MANY charities and organizations out there. You would need to do your own research to find a cause/group/organization that works for you and what you want to do! Everything from local nursing homes/palliative care units/Ronald McDonald Houses to charities to cards for troops is out there - LOTS to choose from!

Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!). 

For those reading/watching - I would love if you'd take the time to leave comments/questions/etc for those that sent in something in the comments below and I know those that sent in would love to read them!

As well make sure to check out Stacy's blog post HERE <-----click! as I was totally inspired by her cards and technique when I made mine!!

After I made those other spooky background cards I kept mulling over how to make that work with Simon's Spooky Silhouette Background stamp. I'd already made a card with that stamp HERE but I wanted to make more - so I did:

I used 2 different colors of Distress Spray Stain for each card - Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves for the card on the left and Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin for the card on the right. On both backgrounds I also added Black Soot Distress Spray Stain and Black Soot Distress Oxide Spray.

I stamped the Spooky Silhouette Background and heat embossed it with Tonic's Glitter Noir embossing powder onto both backgrounds. I used that same embossing powder to coat black card stock that I then die cut with CZ Design's Trick or Treat wafer die.

The little sentiment strips are from Simon's Sentiment Strips Halloween - I cut them out and then inked them up with the same Distress Spray Stains to give them some color.

Of course I added some bling too lol - Studio Katia Iridescent stars and then coordinating colors of jewels from Little Things by Lucy's Cards.

I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the Spooky Silhouette Background with coordinating colors of Distress Oxide inks. I then stamped sentiments from the Handlettered Halloween stamp set and that was it!

Simon Says Stamp November 2019 Card Kit Unboxing! | Woodland Whimsy Card Kit

OK back with post and video #2 for today! Before I get to the card kit I have an announcement (I mention it in the unboxing video so I'll post it here too!).

For those that don't follow my Instagram or Facebook page - Chris asked me to marry him a couple of days before my birthday and I said yes! We're all super happy and the kids are excited and everything is great ❤️❤️❤️. I don't share much personal stuff on my blog/social media and haven't for a long time (no more Life Update videos etc) for a plethora of reasons. However this is something that I am more than happy to share plus y'all will be seeing this ring in all my future videos (except for a couple that were filmed before that I haven't had time to edit and upload yet) 😉.

Now on to the unboxing lol!

Easy Honey Bee Home Essentials Easel Cards

Hey everyone!! It's been a minute (AKA like a week lol) since I last posted/uploaded. Lots going on, also a LOT of construction (and they like playing music which means I can't do voiceovers b/c if any of that picks up in my videos I lose all revenue from the YouTube ads - it's a pain but with 5 kids I optimize videos as much as possible!). Anywho I'm hoping to get back to posting more ASAP!!

That said - Honey Bee had an AMAZING holiday release - you can check it out HERE <-------click!

I'll be doing a Release & Review video on it - just waiting for all the noise to stop lol!!

However I did get a chance to make and film these cards using one of the new paper packs and the previously released House Builder Honey Cuts dies - which if you missed my Halloween version of those you can find that HERE.

So Honey Bee released the new Home Essentials patterned paper pack. These papers were designed to go with Honey Bee's House Builder Honey Cuts dies and are different from Honey Bee's other patterned paper packs in that they have a satin finish and more realistic look to them.

I die cut the Home Essentials patterned papers as well as various card stock with the House Builder Honey Cuts dies and assembled just the "front" of each house. There is a hinge wafer die in the set that enables you to make a house-shaped card from it but I had other plans.

I created 2 easel cards from A2 card bases and adhered each house to the base and added more of the Home Essentials patterned papers to the "inside" of the card which finish off the scene when the cards are propped open.

Aren't these FUN?!?! The new patterned papers give a totally different look to the die cuts - I only made these two cards but I could have made sooooo many more.

Halloween Pumpkin Bouquet Cards | AmyR Halloween 2019 Video #11

Hello hello everyone! So for once lately I'm ALMOST on time with this week's Color Throwdown Challenge 🤪👻:

I was really inspired by the graphic for this week and went about creating something inspired by it:

I combined Honey Bee Stamps Fall Bouquets wafer die set with the Haunted House Builder Add-on wafer die set to make these spooky Halloween bouquets. Other than the sentiments (which are from the Faboolous Sentiments set) these cards are made entirely from die-cuts!

I pressed the die cut pumpkin base/vase into clear embossing ink and heat embossed it with Ranger's Lavender Speckle Embossing powder to get that purple, speckly texture. The flower die cuts were all inked with Simon Says Stamp's Wisteria dye ink and a Studio Katia blending brush. I then tucked in some ghosts and trees and bats from the Haunted House Builder Add-on set.

I used the just-released Stained Glass Coverplate wafer die on my card bases - I LOVE how it looks die cut from white card stock on a light grey card base!

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping more sentiments from the Faboolous Sentiments set and that was it!

SSS Outline Christmas Bulbs | Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens

Hey everyone! So after the last couple Release & Review videos:

Tonic Nuvo Blue Blossom Release & Review

Simon Says Stamp Cheer and Joy Release & Review!

I was itching to try out some new products and ideas started spinning and I ended up making this card:

I silver heat embossed Simon Says Stamp's Outline Christmas Background onto Distress watercolor card stock. I then watered down some Nuvo Black Ash Embellishment Mousse and painted the background portion of the image.

For all the lightbulbs I used the new Nuvo Blue Blossom Aqua Flow pens - painting the color on directly from the Aqua Flow pen and then moving it around with my waterbrush.

I coated all the bulbs with the clear Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen, and also added splatter with Tonic's Pink Carnation and Midnight Horizon Mica Mists.

I used the new Joyful Frame wafer die for my sentiment and die cut it from Silver Screen Glitter Card and some navy card stock. 

I finished off the inside of the card by silver heat embossing a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Glow in the Dark Halloween Cards | AmyR Halloween 2019 Video #10

Happy Weekend everyone! And Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my fellow Canadian peeps! 

So I had some more fun with glow in the dark embossing powder again (because it IS fun - and easy lol!) - this time creating with Honey Bee Stamp's The Name's Jack wafer dies:

Aren't these fun? I die cut the pumpkins and ghosts using The Name's Jack Honey Cuts dies, then added some Oxide inks to the pumpkins with Honey Bee's Detail Blender Brushes. The ghost die cuts were then pressed into clear embossing ink and covered with Glow In The Dark embossing powder.

I also coated black card stock with the ink and GITD EP to make all the jack'o'lanterns glow as well. The "glow" isn't as strong over black card stock as it is on white - you could possibly do more layers with the embossing powder but honestly I'm more than OK with it.

For the galaxy background all I did was die cut one of the patterned papers from the Harvest Festival 6x6 pack using the largest Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts Dies. I also die cut black and Tonic Black Sapphire glitter card stocks with the Bee Bold Alphabet Honey Cuts and stacked them together to give them dimension.

The insides of both cards were finished off with the remaining strips of the patterned paper and another ghost and pumpkin and that was it!

OK on to my cards:

I made multiple Christmas cards using the new Pinecone Background stamp and a sentiment from the new Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set. I used 3 different colors of card stock and 2 different embossing powders as I wanted to see how the background stamp would look on the different colors with different embossing powders lol!

I used Simon's Gold embossing powder and Simon's Detail Clear embossing powder - both looked fabulous with this background IMO! Of course I added splatter to all the cards, and a little bit of bling via Simon's Stay Gold Confetti.

I finished off the insides of all the cards with a large sentiment stamp from the Inside Christmas Greetings set that I stamped with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves ink and that was it!

Picture Book Caramel Apple Card

Now on to my card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

Here's what I made:

I used Simon's new Picture Book Caramel Apple wafer die - die cutting the pieces from various scraps of card stock. I then used one of my Studio Katia blender brushes and some Distress Inks to deepen the "caramel" card stock. Once I had it all put together I coated the caramel portion with Crystal Glaze and set it aside to dry.

I white heat embossed the Sketchy Lines Background stamp onto the red panel, and stacked layers of die cut yellow card stock that I'd used CZ Designs Hello's wafer die to cut. The stamped sentiment is from the CZ Design Hello You stamp set.

I finished off the inside of the card with a second die cut caramel apple and that was it!
