Hey everyone!! This week's Color Throwdown went live yesterday:
You can check out the challenge HERE <--------click! to see what the rest of the team created with these colors as well as play along if you'd like!
Here's what I made:
I created a blended background using Distress Oxide inks over Bristol Smooth card stock. I then stamped it with Simon Says Stamp's Stripe Jumble background stamp that I'd "inked up" by lightly misting with water. That was how I got the first background:
I added splatter (of course) and stacked Simon's Sunflower Frame wafer die 3 times to give it dimension.
To get the second background all I did was re-mist the background stamp with water and press on another piece of Bristol Smooth card stock so that it could pick up the remaining ink on the background. I love that I was able to get 2 backgrounds from one piece of ink-blended card stock!
On the second card I used Simon's Carnation Frame wafer die, and on both cards I used sentiments from the Thanks and Encouragement Word Mix 1 set.
I finished off the insides of the cards with sentiments from the Greetings Mix 1 set that I inked up with the same Oxide Inks used on the front and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.
Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home and provide for my children! I appreciate your support more than words can say! I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
