Hey everyone! I hope y'all had a good weekend! I'm feeling mostly back to normal after that rotten cold I had. I also made 2 cards for last week's Color Throwdown challenge which was this:
You can check out what the rest of the team created with these colors HERE <------click! and there's still time to play along if you'd like!
I was really inspired by THIS CARD that Debby Hughes posted not to long ago and I definitely had her card in the back of my mind when I made mine:
I heat embossed Simon Says Stamp's Cosmos Bloom Background stamp onto Arches water-colour paper. One I embossed with Gold embossing powder and one with white.
I liberally sprayed them with water and then applied Distress Oxide Sprays with a brush. After drying the backgrounds I added a ton of splatter with water and Perfect Pearl powder as well as some of the Oxide Sprays.
For both cards I used sentiments from the Thanks and Encouragement Word Mix 1 and the coordinating wafer dies. I LOOOOVVVEEEEE the way this set is set up with the coordinating dies! I can't wait to see what else will be released with this line!
I also added several Studio Katia crystals to the cards and adhered them into place with Simon's Craft Tacky glue.
I used Simon's Daisy Bouquet set for the inside of the card - well actually I used one individual stamp from the set. I inked it up with Victorian Velvet and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink, then painted the renters with the Squeezed Lemonade Oxide Spray.
After adding a bit more splatter and then a couple of sentiments from the Thanks and Encouragement Word Mix 1 that was it!
