I hope y'all had a great weekend! Today was a Monday of a Monday with one thing after another going wrong it seems - BUT I still managed to finally get the video edited and uploaded for this card!
I didn't get a chance to upload this in time for last week's Color Throwdown challenge (which is part of the problem I'm having lately - Yahoo has been messed up, not working for WEEKS now and I can barely access anything. Anywho that's a whole other story...), but I loved the colors and inspiration!
See what I mean? Anyway you can see what the rest of the team made with these colors HERE <-----click! and there will be a new challenge up Wednesday morning to play along with!
So I created my own quick and easy background using 2 Distress Oxide inks and a couple of paintbrushes and my t-square ruler. I added splatter (of course) and that was it. To create my character I used several of the Big Picture Book wafer dies from Simon Says Stamp: Big Picture Book Raccoon, Big Picture Book Medium Body and Big Picture Book Tails. I die cut them all from different card stocks (all the ones I used are listed and linked in the supplies below!) and put them all together.
I used the Watermelon wafer die, and the heart shaped "seeds" were die cut from Black Mirror glossy card stock.
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the CZ Design Buttercup stamp set that I stamped with the Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I had all the little hearts left over from die cutting the watermelon so I added a few to the inside and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.
