Happy Friday! Also Happy Christmas in July!! I already posted my first Christmas cards of the year HERE, and now I have Tonic's Merry & Bright July collection to share with y'all:
And here are the links to everything I showed in the video:
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.
Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home and provide for my children! I appreciate your support more than words can say! I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
For the top 2 cards I die cut the layers using the dies and 3 different card stocks and layered them together. For the bottom 2 cards I used only the Layer A die and then inlaid the pink and gold die cut pieces.
I used the Big and Little Words stamp set for my sentiments, and embellished the cards with a few different crystal mixes from Studio Katia.
I kept all the insides of the cards simple and added another sentiment from the Big and Little Words stamp set and that was it!

I hope y'all had a great weekend! Today was a Monday of a Monday with one thing after another going wrong it seems - BUT I still managed to finally get the video edited and uploaded for this card!
I didn't get a chance to upload this in time for last week's Color Throwdown challenge (which is part of the problem I'm having lately - Yahoo has been messed up, not working for WEEKS now and I can barely access anything. Anywho that's a whole other story...), but I loved the colors and inspiration!
So I created my own quick and easy background using 2 Distress Oxide inks and a couple of paintbrushes and my t-square ruler. I added splatter (of course) and that was it. To create my character I used several of the Big Picture Book wafer dies from Simon Says Stamp: Big Picture Book Raccoon, Big Picture Book Medium Body and Big Picture Book Tails. I die cut them all from different card stocks (all the ones I used are listed and linked in the supplies below!) and put them all together.
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the CZ Design Buttercup stamp set that I stamped with the Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I had all the little hearts left over from die cutting the watermelon so I added a few to the inside and that was it!

Hello everyone! Waffle Flower's July release just went live! You can check it all out at the links below!
I'm part of a blog hop to celebrate and share inspiration with the new release. I'll have links to all the stops below as well as giveaway info at the end!
I decided to step outside my comfort zone and create some Christmas cards in July! I know Christmas in July is a thing but I usually REALLY struggle with holiday-themed cards anytime earlier than fall LOL. AKA I just don't do them. However I sent out almost my entire Christmas card stash last year to friends and , and I need to make a TON more for this year to send out. So if I start now there's a better chance I'll actually get them all made and sent out!
I couldn't resist doing my black, white and gold combo with them and ended up making 4 cards to start off my 2019 Christmas Card stash!
On my first two cards I created black card bases and gold and white heat embossed the snowflakes from the Oversized Merry stamp set onto them. I added some gold splatter, and then adhered the die cut Oversized Merry that I'd cut from black card stock and gold glitter card stock.
On the white cards I gold embossed the snowflakes, and then stamped them with black ink. The Oversized Merry die cut was cut from black glitter card stock and white card stock before being stacked and adhered to the cards.
I stamped the insides of the cards as well as the envelopes with the snowflakes using Delicata Golden Glitz ink and that was it!

So OBVIOUSLY I'm going to do my black, white and gold combo with this. If you're new here Hi. I'm AmyR and I am obsessed with the color combo of black, white and gold and make cards using it a LOT lately!
I gold heat embossed all the images from the Wake Up and Makeup stamp set onto black card stock. I die cut all of the images for the first two cards and popped them up with foam tape. One card was left as-is with just the gold embossing on black. The second card I painted the images with one of the gold water-colours from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set.
For the 3rd and 4th cards I gold heat embossed the images onto panels of black card stock and didn't die cut them. One was left as-is again and the other was painted with the gold watercolor.
All of the cards were finished off outside and inside with sentiments from the Wake Up and Makeup set that were gold heat embossed on either white or black card stock and that was it!

And just like that it's Monday. First off Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadian peeps! I hope you all are having a great long weekend!
I posted these cards and video for Tonic last week and finally have a few mins to get them posted here too:
I used Tonic's Creative Pens - AKA alcohol markers again. I am really liking them you guys! I see them as a standalone marker - I still (and always will) LOVE my Copics. However the Tonic Creative pens have been easy to use and I do like how they come in packs of 3 colors that blend together - that takes out a LOT of the guesswork and I'm all for that.
Anywho - for these cards I used the Adorables Scent Wiff Love set. I stamped all the characters onto Ultra Smooth card stock with Nuvo Black Shadow Hybrid ink and then coloured them all in with the Creative Pens. In the video I list what colors I use for each area and then have all the packs I used listed with the supplies below!
On the insides of the cards I stamped another sentiment from the Scent Wiff Love set and added the skunks that I'd stamped and coloured and that was it!
