Fuzzy Die-Cut Panda Cards | Simon Says Stamp Picture Book Panda

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend!

Now here are a couple of cards I made with elements from the kit:

In the kit are 2 packages of ThermoWeb Flock sheets - a black package and a white package (there are other colors available here too!). I die cut them with the Picture Book Panda wafer die and adhered them directly to copy paper.

Isn't he so cute and fuzzy? I added some Doodlebug/Simon Says Stamp Shape Sprinkles to them to make their eyes more goofy and I just love it.

I used sentiments from the Party Like a Panda stamp set that comes in the kit (that one I die cut with one of Simon's Nested Talk Bubbles Wafer Dies) as well as a thank you sentiment from the new Greetings Mix 1 set.

I finished off the insides of the cards with strips of the same patterned papers I used on the front and stamped another sentiment from the Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and that was it!

Simon Says Stamp Believe In You Release & Review! | July 2019

Today is Day 1 of 2 days of blog hops! I'll have links to all the stops on today's hop lower down in my post - plus there's a GIVEAWAY as well! 

Here's what I created for the hop:

I went full rainbow with my cards and used the new Faceted Stripes Stencil and my Hero Arts Reactive inks. After blending the inks over the stencils I used 2 different glitter pastes over them to get 2 completely different looks!

I then ran a piece of Simon's 120lb white card stock through my 3" Xyron machine and then die cut it with the Today Will Be Awesome wafer die. After cutting 2 of the mat panels with black card stock I got 2 die cut sentiments from the white - only adhering the letters to one and the outline to the other. Both die cut sentiments were adhered to the cards with Simon's Big Momma Foam tape.

As a final embellishment to the front I added some die cut hearts from Simon's Mini Heart Set that I coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze to give them dimension and shine.

I finished off the insides of the cards with a sentiment and hearts from the Greetings Mix 1 stamp set. The sentiment was white heat embossed on black card stock then die cut with one of the Nested Banners wafer dies. I stamped the hearts with the same Reactive inks I used on the front and that was it!

OK on to the card:

I white heat embossed the large bouquet from the Daisy Bouquet set onto Distress water-colour paper and then watercolored it with AlteNew water-colours. Once it was dry I used the coordinating wafer die to die cut it.

I white heat embossed the new Scallop Waves Background onto the same watercolor paper and then used the AlteNew watercolors over it. The sentiment is from the new Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and was die cut with one of the Nested Circle wafer dies.

I finished off the inside of the card with another daisy from the Daisy Bouquet stamp set and then stamped another sentiment from the Greetings Mix 1 set and that was it!

Sunset Blend Cards with Hero Arts Reactive Inks | SSS Wildflowers Take 2

Hello everyone!! This week's Color Throwdown Challenge went live earlier this morning:

Here's what I made:

I wanted to try more ink blending with the new Hero Arts Reactive inks - and this time using them over Bristol Smooth card stock. I REALLY like how they blend on Bristol Smooth - and the reaction with water splattered over it is 😍😍😍.

I also used Simon Says Stamp's Wildflowers stamp set. I'd used that set HERE if you missed it. Since then I've wanted to use it with backgrounds like this and stamping it in black. This set is GORGEOUS and so perfect for silhouette stamping like this.

I blended 3 shades of the Hero Arts Reactive inks onto Bristol Smooth card stock, splattered it with water then splattered it with Sea Salt Reactive ink. I then stamped the images from the Wildflowers stamp set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto the panels. The sentiments were die cut from white card stock using Simon's Thanks Frame wafer die and adhered using my Xyron X Sticker Maker. 

On the insides of the cards I stamped the Wildflowers images - this time using the three Reactive inks. LOOOVVVEEE how that looks!! I also stamped them onto matching envelopes to complete everything and that was it!

MFT Pop-Up Wiper Card | Friends with Fins

Hokay folks! Second post and video from me today - I had to detour and share my SSS Card Kit unboxing as it JUST arrived:

And then got this video edited and uploaded! I made an interactive card (yay me lol) which I don't do very often - this one turned out so cute and once I got it all figured out in my head it will be SO easy to make more like this:

When making a pop-up card like this the bonus to it is that when it's folded flat it easily fits into an A2 envelope and isn't any more bulky (in fact it's usually less bulky as there's no foam dimension etc) than a regular card. You CAN do this in different orientations and different sizes you just need to fiddle a bit - but again once you've done it once it comes to gather a LOT easily and making adjustments doesn't seem as daunting (to me anyway! It's why I usually avoid interactive cards).

So to make this a pop-up wiper card I used MFT's Pop-Up Wiper Die-namics. You can easily make the mechanism without a wafer die but one - I like the convenience and two - there is a long (8.5") grass wafer die and long wave die in the set that I REALLY like. I used the wave one for this card obviously but it would be so cute to make a scene with the grass one and have critters or butterflies or something popping up!

I inked up the Birdie Brown Friends with Fins stamp set and coloured them all in with Copic markers. After highlighting them with my favorite white gel pen I die cut them with the coordinating Die-namics set. I also used one of the little wave dies in that set to die cut the wave for the narwhal to be popping out of.

I used MFT's Mini Cloud Edges stencil for the background. For the wave portion and for the stencilling of the background I used the new Hero Arts Reactive inks in Splash, Blue Hawaii and Sea Salt.

I finished the "inside" AKA the back of the card since there is no inside with this kind by adhering the remaining Friends with Fins images and stamping another sentiment from the set and that was it!

HUGE July 2019 Haul + Giveaway!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend! So I had a bit of time to film more of the goodies that have piled up (or were still piled up from weeks/months ago that I just haven't got around to sharing) since more was sent (and I ordered more as per usual lol).

I also filled another box full of things I've pulled off my shelves (as I get asked a lot where do I put it all etc etc). Thankfully stamps and dies don't take up much space at all (It's amazing how many will fit in a container on a shelf) and I purge fairly often. Doing this as a job means I'm constantly getting in new products (whether ordered or sent to me) and I take out anything that's discontinued/retired and some things that I've used and loved but know I won't be using again. Even if I love it it's sometimes better to pass it on to someone who's going to love it and get a bunch of use out of it!

Tonic Wings & Things Butterfly Card | Nuvo Embellishment Mousse

Hey everyone! Happy weekend! I have another card and video for y'all - this time using a bunch of supplies from Tonic:

I recently got an order with the Wings & Things Mariposa wafer die and the coordinating Wings & Things Butterfly & Dragonfly wafer die sets. This butterfly is HUGE and I love it. I die cut it and the body from black card stock, then sponged Indian Gold Embellishment Mousse onto the edges of the wings and on the body.

I used the Tonic Linking Rings stencil for the background and blended a few aqua-coloured hybrid inks over it (Mint Macaroon, Laguna Bay and Moroccan Teal). Those three colors are literally a light, medium and dark shade of aqua IMO and they're perfect together. 

I also added some Crystal Gems Gemstones for bling! Gotta have bling...

I masked off a strip on the inside of the card and blended the hybrid inks again over the Linking Rings stencils. The sentiment on the inside as well as the ones on the outside are from the Little Something for Harry stamp set by Tonic.

Oxide Spray Snowflakes | SSS Frozen Fractals Stencils

I couldn't resist making some more Christmas cards. I already posted 2 videos sharing other Christmas cards I made this year so far - if you missed them you can check them out below:

Christmas Cards in July! | Waffle Flower Oversized Merry

I pulled out Simon Says Stamp's Frozen Fractals Stencils and tried out Pixie Spray on them for the first time. It worked perfectly to adhere the stencils to white card stock and then spray them with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Spray. I peeled off the stencils no problem and they cleaned up with a baby wipe - spray AND adhesive.

Tonic's new Silver Strokes Grey Kraft card stock is DIVINE - I showed it in the Merry & Bright Release & Review video I posted not too long ago and it was too perfect fort here cards and color challenge! I trimmed it down for these cards after die cutting the snowflake panels with Simon's Rounded Corner Rectangle wafer dies.

I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping snowflakes from the Frozen Fractals stamp set and sentiments from the Inside Holiday Greetings set. I also stamped the snowflakes onto white envelopes to finish everything off!

Easy Christmas Shaker Cards | CZ Design Ornamental

Hey everyone! So after I posted my Tonic Merry & Bright Release & Review video (HERE if you missed it) I wanted to make some cards with some of it of course!

I forgot to mention in the video (SORRY Laura! I meant to give her a shoutout in the video and was rushing to get it done and forgot) but these cards are totally inspired by Laura's cards HERE <-----click! She posted those cards a couple of months ago and I just loved them (I love all her cards - and her videos crack me up. If you haven't watched them do it - binge them alllllllll LOL!).

Like I mentioned in my last post with early (WAY early!!) Christmas cards - I normally just can't start creating them till well into the fall. However I need to make a LOT of them this year as I sent out the majority of the Christmas cards I had in my stash to my Patrons last year. That plus I was sick for over a month last year which meant my Christmas Card series was a bust, so I have almost no Christmas cards left! Starting them early like this will hopefully give me the time I need to get them all made this year.

So I had the basic supplies for my cards already out, and just needed to grab some stamps and dies and got to work:

I used the Tonic Merry & Bright 6x6 papers and the Candy Red and Spearmint Green card stocks for all of these cards. The sentiments were a combination of the CZ Design Ornamental Stamp Set and Wafer Dies and the CZ Design Merry wafer die.

I used Simon Says Stamp's Nested Circle wafer dies to create windows in all my card fronts that I backed with transparencies. All the shaker elements were a mix of various Tonic gemstones, sequins and confetti.

I used the CZ Design Merry wafer die on two of the cards and then used sentiments from the Ornamental stamp set for the other cards and for the "Christmas" word on the Merry cards. All the sentiments were white heat embossed and then either trimmed with my Tim Holtz guillotine trimmer or the coordinating Ornamental wafer dies. 

I finished off the insides of all the cards with more sentiments from the Ornamental stamp set that I die cut with one of the Nested Circle wafer dies. I had little stops of patterned paper left over from trimming down the pieces for the front so I added those too and that was it!

Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes.. The post can be notoriously slow especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless! If you ever want to check out previous months Happy Mail Haul videos you can find them all here:

If you want to send ahead and mail cards for multiple themes in the same package I am totally OK with that. It helps if you add a sticky note or something to mark what month each card is for. Please do not send more than 2 cards for each theme (so there are the 3 upcoming months therefore 6 cards in total). I cannot accept large packages/boxes of cards. I don't have anywhere to store large amounts plus it takes up a lot of my time to film/edit/upload these videos and limiting the submissions to 2 per person ensures it's fair for everyone. Thank you for understanding!

If you are interested in donating your cards there are MANY charities and organizations out there. You would need to do your own research to find a cause/group/organization that works for you and what you want to do! Everything from local nursing homes/palliative care units/Ronald McDonald Houses to charities to cards for troops is out there - LOTS to choose from!

Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!).

Masculine Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps Car Show

Hello everyone! I get a LOT of requests to create and show more masculine-themed cards, though honestly I personally think most cards can be masculine or feminine or neither and it shouldn't really matter - but that's my opinion!. Anywho, that said when Honey Bee Stamps had their Ramblin' Man release last month there were so many really fun stamps and dies and stencils released. I did a Release & Review post and video on it here if you missed it:

Boombox 80's Card | Honey Bee Stamps Good Mix

Honey Bee also released patterned paper and enamel dot packs recently as well and I've been wanting to create with them so I pulled out one of the packs and used that to inspire the colors and whatnot for this card:

I used Honey Bee's Great Outdoors 6x6 patterned papers for this card. The aqua color in the pack really stood out to me so I decided to color the car from the Car Show stamp set in a similar color. I want to use the Tonic Nuvo Creative Pens (alcohol markers) more to really get a feel for them (so far I've been really liking them!) so I used them to color in the car (all the specific colors I use I list in the video!).

I stamped the car onto Tonic's Ultra Smooth white card stock with their Black Shadow Hybrid ink, then coloured it in with various Creative Pens. After I die cut it with the coordinating Honey Cuts die I coated it with Aqua Shimmer Clear Glitter gloss. So when the light hits it it's sparkly (which shows better in the video!).

The sentiments are from the new You're A Classic stamp set and I white heat embossed them and then die cut them all with the coordinating die set.

I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the car with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink and adding a couple more sentiments and that was it!
