Ohhhhh what a week! A rotten cold bug has been going around and almost everyone in this house has some level of it. So that slowed down life, plus end of the school year things (more kids in school = more things going on) AND it was K's birthday!!
SO - I finally got the card made for her that I started last year lol:
Last year Jennifer McGuire did this video on stepping up die cuts and I loved the look of it. So I die cut a TON of balloons in rainbow colors using Simon Says Stamp's Balloons wafer dies and Simon's heavy weight card stock. I layered the balloons together with glue and added letters to each one using the CZ Design Everett Solid Letters wafer dies.
After everything was adhered I coated the letters with Nuvo's Aqua Shimmer Clear Glitter Gloss and then added a THICK layer of Crystal Glaze to each one and let them dry overnight.
I created my scene with Simon's Clouds for Days stencil and Audrey Blue ink, and added waves with a Lawn Fawn wafer die. I used Simon's Picture Book Octopus wafer die as my main character holding the balloons and added in the Picture Book Jumping Narwhal - both of which were covered in the Clear Glitter Gloss.
I customized the inside of the card using the Birthday Pallooza stamp set and various Distress Oxide inks. The number 6 is from the Everett Solid Numbers wafer dies and the "th" is from the newer Archie Jr Solid wafer dies set.
