Here's the cards I made:

I couldn't resist creating with some of the new Big Picture Book characters as well as the new "add-ons" - the bodies and tails and whatnot just amp up these critters :).

I used Distress Inks to sponge the die cut critters and bodies, as well as Distress Inks over the new Lined Circles stencil on each background.

The eyes and noses (and tongue of the puppy) were coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze to make them shiny. I white heat embossed sentiments from the Punny Animals set as well as the new Besties set (which I also used the coordinating wafer dies to die cut the larger words).

I finished off the insides of the cards with more sentiments from the Besties set, and added a few die cut hearts (from the Watermelon wafer die - I am loving that die LOL!) and that was it!

SSS Critter Sweaters | AmyR 2018 Christmas Card Series #1

Hello everyone!! SO - Christmas Card series from me starts now - but I still have Halloween stuff I want to make and post of course! Like usual I'll be jumping all over the place and posting whichever LOL! I always include links to previous posts in series so that y'all can find them - plus I set up playlists on my YouTube channel to keep everything organized (since the rest of me isn't!).

For now tho here's a card I made using a bunch of the new products:

Aren't these critters CUTE?!? I used the new Critter Sweaters stamp set and coordinating wafer dies, doing some clear heat embossing then sponging Distress Inks over them to create their "sweaters".

I used the new Merry wafer dies and stamps from the Ornamental stamp set and Tiny Words Christmas stamp set for my sentiments. The background was made with the new Lined Circles stencil and Tonic's Moonstone Glimmer Paste 😍. 

I finished off the inside with stamps and a wafer die from the Ornamental coordinating sets and that was it!

Alcohol Lift Ink with SSS Sketched Flowers Stamp Set

Hey everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend! It feels like Monday here since yesterday was a holiday for us Canadians (Happy belated Thanksgiving! I hope y'all ate well - I know I did).

Anywho - I came down with another cold (big surprise) however I took some time while the Turkey was cooking to make these cards. They're technically too late for last week's Color Throwdown Challenge which was:

SO - I showed the Simon Says Stamp Sketched Flowers set in my last haul video. I had it sitting here on my desk since it arrived and all the supplies and whatnot I wanted to use since it was for this challenge. Therefor these cards came together rather quickly:

I used 3 different Ranger Alcohol Inks on white Yupo paper, then used Rangers Alcohol Lift Ink and the large floral image to lift the alcohol color off the Yupo, then stamped it onto the white card stock. Basically getting 2 cards in one.

I used Simon's Frames wafer dies to die cut both card fronts, and inlaid a frame die cut from Simon's Sapphire Glitter card stock. I also added a bunch of bling using Studio Katia crystals in colors for the challenge 😍.

I finished off the insides of the card by stamping the large floral image with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink and then stamped sentiments from the set with Simon's Intense Black ink and that was it!

SSS Ornate Ornaments | World Cardmaking Day Special

So all of the designers participating today are all using the SSS Ornate Ornaments stamp set. Here's what I created:

I went very traditional for my card - with red and silver ornaments and a green background.

SO hard to show all the shimmer and sparkle in pictures!! All the ornaments are silver heat embossed and coated with Tonic's Aqua Shimmer pen. The background was sponged with Ranger's Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink and splattered with a mixture of Perfect Pearl and Pewter Perfect Pearls. Then I added a bunch of Simon's Silver Lining Sequins - shine, shimmer and glitter - makes this girl happy!!

The inside of the card was stamped with sentiments from the set - and the ornament is covering one of the oops I made when making this card 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. It happens....

I couldn't resist the new Hello Pumpkin and Coffee Time stamp sets. These little mice are SO beyond cute and pairing them with coffee of course makes my day.

I stamped all the images onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock with GinaK Amalgam ink and coloured them in with Copic Markers, added highlights with my white gel pen then die cut them with their coordinating wafer dies.

The coffee cups I also stamped onto patterned papers and paper-pieced the wraps of the cups.

This last one is a gift card holder made with Waffle Flowers Love Notes wafer die!

I finished off the insides of the cards with the Coffee Time set, and that was it!

September flew by so fast (I worked a TON in September plus the move plus the kids etc etc etc - so no wonder it seemed to fly by) and now it's already getting well into the first week of October. I still have so many Halloween cards and videos I want to make! There will be a ton of them coming up 😉😉.

Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes.. The post can be notoriously slow especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless! If you ever want to check out previous months Happy Mail Haul videos you can find them all here:

RAK/Happy Mail Hauls

If you want to send ahead and mail cards for multiple themes in the same package I am totally OK with that. It helps if you add a sticky note or something to mark what month each card is for. Please do not send more than 2 cards for each theme (so there are the 3 upcoming months therefore 6 cards in total). I cannot accept large packages/boxes of cards. I don't have anywhere to store large amounts plus it takes up a lot of my time to film/edit/upload these videos and limiting the submissions to 2 per person ensures it's fair for everyone. Thank you for understanding!

If you are interested in donating your cards there are MANY charities and organizations out there. You would need to do your own research to find a cause/group/organization that works for you and what you want to do! Everything from local nursing homes/palliative care units/Ronald McDonald Houses to charities to cards for troops is out there - LOTS to choose from!

Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!).

Third - DISCLAIMER. I totally didn't realize that the stencil AND the stamp set I used aren't available anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️. SO - the Brutus Monroe Glow In The Dark Glitter Glaze is AWESOME. Like seriously seriously fun to play with!! I need to try out the other colors of BM Glitter Glaze that I bought b/c I am really intrigued now as to how they are to work with (I assume they'll be just as creamy and easy to work with as this one was) and how they look when they're dry!

And yes it glows in the dark AMAZINGLY well!! 

Also - Studio Katia's Iridescent Bubbles look like they're glowing too! I ❤️ those! And even the little Doodlebug Silly Spider Sprinkles are cute - which is saying something lol!
