Hey everyone!!! OK I finally got into here to make this post - it's been one of those days with one issue after another. I have another video for my 2018 Christmas Card Series - if you missed my first one for this year you can check that out here:
SSS Critter Sweaters | AmyR 2018 Christmas Card Series #1
Anywho - MFT had a special release today and they'd sent me the stamps and dies and I am losing my mind over all the cuteness:
They have a new illustrator - Stacey Yacula - who designed these adorable penguins and there will be more sets from her in the future!! MFT also released this awesome holiday flamingos set and patterned paper too:
OK - so I couldn't resist making cards with the penguins - what started as one card morphed into 3:
See what I mean??? THEY. ARE. SO. ADORABLE.
All the penguins were stamped onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with MFT's Extreme Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers and highlighted with my Gelly Roll white gel pen before being die cut with their coordinating Die-namics dies.
For card 1 I created a scene using one of the Stitched Basic Edges 2 Die-namics die to create a snow bank. I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink onto my card base (and raved about that perfect blend on my Instagram - it really was perfect - LOVE when that happens). I stacked the letters using the Peace Die-namics with card stock and topped them with patterned paper and adhered the penguins around it to create the scene.
Card 2 saw me adding a large sentiment from MFT's Handwritten Holiday set and more of this patterned paper.
Card 3 I added the Joy Die-namics die cut along with the Let It Snowflake Too Die-namics - all of which were released previously and I used in last years Holiday Card series HERE and HERE.
I finished off the insides of all the cards with stamps and sentiments from the new Sweet Holiday Penguins set and the Handwritten Holidays set and that was it!
