STAMPtember 2018 Release & Review! | Simon Says Stamp
Now on to the first card and video using some of the new release!
I had to use the new Picture Book Cupcake and Picture Book Donut wafer dies to make a card. They're SO ADORABLE.
I die cut them from Neenah Classic Crest 80lb Solar White card stock and then used Copic Markers to color them in. I ended up die cutting the previously released Picture Book Ice Cream cone and colouring that as well as I needed something else to "fill out" the card plus they all just go together perfectly!
I coated the "icing" on the donut and cupcake and the ice cream with Tonic's Clear Aqua Shimmer pen to make them all shimmery and glittery, then added highlights with my white gel pen.
The sentiments were created with Simon's Big Happy wafer die and then I white heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new Tiny Words stamp set onto black card stock. Using Ranger's Ultra Fine Detail embossing powder works PERFECTLY with these tiny sentiments!! ❤️❤️❤️
Also because I know I'll get asked - the balloon patterned paper isn't actually patterned paper. It's wrapping paper that the STAMPtember release came in when SSS sent it to me (it literally was like unwrapping Christmas and my birthday and everything when I got that package). I LOVED the paper (it's from Paper Source - sadly we don't have those in Canada!) so I kept it as I knew I could repurpose it onto cards LOL!
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the Birthday Messages stamp set (still available! There's a link to it below) using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink and that was it!
