Happy Friday!! And happy end of August and almost-beginning-of-September (which means STAMPtember - but more on that in my next post!!! 😉).
My monkeys head back to school/start school next week - part of me is excited and part of me is a little sad (I think most parents can relate lol). Anywho - I thought I'd made a fun card for back to school and made them for the 2 youngest we have headed to school this year:
I used Simon Says Stamp's School Bus Messages stamp set, and combined with with the Diamond Pattern background wafer die and one of their Picture Book Monkey wafer dies (b/c especially the littles I like to call my monkeys).
Laura Bassen made the cutest little card with this set and I had got a kick out of how she used the monkey (great minds and all that) AND the little Labrador Picture Book character on hers - you can see it HERE. Love!!
I stamped the bus onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink and coloured it in with Copic markers. I also die cut the monkey from the same card stock and used Copics to color all the pieces.
I used some Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 patterned paper for my card front - just a bright and cheerful pop of color peeking out behind the Diamond Pattern wafer die (I LOVE this wafer die! I didn't think I'd reach for it as often as I do and yet I reach for it a LOT!).
I finished off the inside of the card with more of the patterned paper, and sentiments from the School Bus Messages stamp set and that was it!
