Hey everyone! So when I posted a pic of my Distress Oxide Blending Foam storage on my Instagram and Facebook page over the weekend I got a LOT of questions and whatnot.
Rather than repeat it all over and over again I thought I'd film a quick video explaining it and my thought process behind it:
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube.
Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home and provide for my children! I appreciate your support more than words can say! I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
Now for the GIVEAWAY!
I have these brand new Distress Oxide ink pads, Distress Mini inks and a Distress Crayon to give away to one of you! All you have to do to be entered is to follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below (make sure you're using a current e-mail address that you check frequently (I don't keep/see any person info other than the winner's e-mail address) as that's what I use to contact the winner!).
So this was posted on Simon's Instagram this morning - and it totally reminded me that I had sketched out a card idea for Simon's Picture Book Ice Cream Cone wafer die. So I pulled out my supplies and got to making it while it was still National Ice Cream Day (tho really shouldn't it be that every day?).
This is a 3.75" x 8.5" card (fits in a standard size 10 business envelope)
I die cut the Ice Cream Cone multiple times from Bristol Smooth card stock, then used a ton of Distress Oxide inks and sponged them onto all the pieces.
I used Simon's Clouds for Days stencil on the card base (also made from Bristol Smooth card stock), and the Happy Birthday Script wafer die for the sentiment.
I die cut the back half of the Happy Birthday sentiment multiple times and stacked them together in order to adhere the sentiment over the ice cream (as those were popped up with foam squares). I added 4mm Studio Katia Googly Eyes to the ice cream, and some SSS Groovy confetti to the background. The "My Sweet Friend" sentiment is from the CZ Design Hello You stamp set.
I finished off the inside of the card with sentiments from the CZ Design Birthday Palooza set that I inked up with several of the Oxide inks I'd used on the ice cream and that was it!

Also just a reminder - I have a Sales & Coupons page here <-------click! where I update with any SSS coupon codes I find, new releases etc. I try to keep it as updated and current as possible! I also post frequently on my Facebook page and Instagram - those 2 places are where I post any flash sales etc FIRST.

I have this fun Simon Says Stamp Hello There stamp set and coordinating die set along with the card I made using them to give away to one of you! I have a fun mermaid rainbow card to share with y'all today:
I used Honey Bee Stamps Swimming By stamp set and white heat embossed the mermaid's tail across the bottom of a piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock.
I then used a variety of Distress Oxide inks and my water brush to color them all in in rainbow order.
I added a bunch of splatter - and discussed in my video how Distress Oxide splatter is SO deceiving. It takes a lot longer to dry than you would think (even with heat setting it), and can look dry but still smear. I love the look of the splatter though so I just have to keep reminding myself to be careful with it and treat the splatter as if it's wet till the card is done.
I used a sentiment from Honey Bee's Mermaid Song stamp set and stamped that with Versafine Onyx Black ink, then added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Jewels to finish it off.
I finished off the inside of the card with another sentiment from the Mermaid Song stamp set and then stamped the mermaid tails from the Swimming By set again using the same Distress Oxide inks that I used to watercolor on the front of the card.

What better way to start off a Friday the 13th then with rainbow hula hooping hippos?
I used the Hip Hip Hooray stamp set from Waffle Flower and stamped them onto Neenah Solar White 80lb Classic Crest card stock with Ink on 3's Blackout Ink. I coloured them in with Copic markers then added glitter with a Sakura Stardust Pen and highlights with a white gel pen.
To create my background on my card bases I used MFT's Radiating Rays stencil and a bunch of Distress Inks that I sponged on in rainbow order. I popped up the hippos with mini Action Wobbles so they wiggle and move!
I finished off the insides of the cards with another sentiment from the Hip Hip Hooray stamp set and that was it!

SO. MANY. NEW. GOODIES. So many random orders showing up within days of each other, plus companies sending me product (huge THANK YOU! ❤️❤️❤️) - so here's part 1 of Haul videos showing some of it and my random rambles along with:
Like I mention in the beginning of the video I was/am still getting over pneumonia so I may sound stuffy etc (I tried to edit out as much as the sniffling and coughing etc as I could b/c I know it's annoying!). I AM feeling a lot better which I'm so glad. I was worried there that I was going to be sick all summer (in the middle of it it felt like it was never going to end). I'm still not 100% but way better than I was a couple of weeks ago!
Hokay - on to the links. I tried to link to everything I showed as well as to the random other products I talked about and whatnot lol. I really ramble in this one!
ALSO - I just got an e-mail about this so I wanted to share!
Simon Says Stamp just released this fun Christmas in July bundle <------click! that includes the NEW Naughty & Nice 6x8 stamp set. For a limited time while purchasing this set you get a FREE bundle of Christmas products with your order of the stamp set - no coupon code needed!!
I used Simon Says Stamp's Leafy Frame stencil on my card base and sponged 2 shades of yellow Distress Inks over it to create my background.
I then stamped 2 of the critter's from the Simon Hello There stamp set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with Simon's Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers:
I added details and highlights with a white gel pen then die cut them with their coordinating wafer dies. The Holla sentiment is from the Simon-exclusive CZ Design wafer die - and as I mention in the video it's a slang term. Hello+Holler=Holla - just a fun way to say hello!
I stacked some of the Holla die cuts together and adhered them to my card base then popped my critters on there with foam tape.
I finished off the inside of the card with sentiments from the Hello There set and CZ Design Yay stamp set, and inked up the heart from the Hello There set with the same 2 Distress inks and that was it!

Hello everyone! PinkFresh Studio just released a bunch of fun new products and I'm part of a blog hop today to celebrate their release! Make sure to stay tuned to the end of the post as there's GIVEAWAY info as well!
If you haven't seen the new release products yet you can check them all out here:
OK now on to what I've created:
I created a couple of Inside Out cards using the new Skating Bunnies stamp set and coordinating wafer die set.
I die cut windows into my card fronts with a stitched oval die and die cut some Sea Glass card stock with the same dies (in my head thinking this creates a frozen "pond" for the bunnies to skate on).
I stamped the bunnies and die cut them with the coordinating dies and then inked up the other various stamps from the set and stamped them on to both the card front, inside, and envelopes as well.
To finish off the scenes I'd created I inked up sentiments from the Skating Bunnies stamp set and stamped them on the outside and inside of the cards and that was it!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all are having a good weekend so far!
I had SO MUCH FUN making this card!! This Studio Katia Mermaid For Each Other stamp set is the cutest thing EVER - and the Seashell Shaker wafer die is adorable!!
I was inspired by the SK Rainbow Fusion Sequins (one of my all-time favourite sequin mixes) for all my colors on this card. I stamped the images onto Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White card stock with Ink on 3's Blackout ink and coloured them all in with Copic markers:
I used the Seashell Shaker wafer die to create my shaker window, and used Distress Oxide inks to sponge the color onto the inner pieces of the seashell - using the remaining pieces on the inside of the card:

One lucky person is going to win everything pictured above! All you have to do to be entered is to follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below (make sure you're using a current e-mail address that you check frequently (I don't keep/see any person info other than the winner's e-mail address) as that's what I use to contact the winner!).
Hello everyone! Apologies for getting this video up so much later than I usually do. It's a struggle keeping up with life in general (if you've missed my social media etc updates I've got pneumonia (walking pneumonia - so not AS severe but it's still exhausting)) plus trying to work!
Anywho - I wrangled up everything that was sent to my PO box last month and got it filmed to share with y'all!
Thank you all SO much for taking the time out of your day to send something for me to share here. I'm getting excited for my new office space (supposed to happen in a few months - I'll update more on that when I know more!) and have plans for a display spot where I can rotate the cards y'all sent in and show them off more! I also plan to do up a binder to better sort and keep all the letters I get sent (I read every one and keep them!) when the time comes as well!
As for all the cards I personally make - like I mention in the video those I keep for personal use, some I give away, some get sent to manufacturers (forgot to mention that in the video - I've shown that on my social media before) for them to use for advertising etc, and now I send cards to my Patreon supporters.
For those that have been asking here is the link to my Patreon page that I was talking about in the video:
If you'd like to mail a card to be featured in an upcoming Happy Mail Haul video here's my mailing address:

Box 1041 MARTENSVILLE PO

July Theme: Summer/Food/Drink
August Theme: Fall/Halloween
September Theme: Drinks: Coffee/Tea/Cocoa/Hot Chocolate/Martinis (whatever floats your boat lol!)
(A repost of some important info!!)
Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes.. The post can be notoriously slow especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless! If you ever want to check out previous months Happy Mail Haul videos you can find them all here:
If you want to send ahead and mail cards for multiple themes in the same package I am totally OK with that. It helps if you add a sticky note or something to mark what month each card is for. Please do not send more than 2 cards for each theme (so there are the 3 upcoming months therefore 6 cards in total). I cannot accept large packages/boxes of cards. I don't have anywhere to store large amounts plus it takes up a lot of my time to film/edit/upload these videos and limiting the submissions to 2 per person ensures it's fair for everyone. Thank you for understanding!
If you are interested in donating your cards there are MANY charities and organizations out there. You would need to do your own research to find a cause/group/organization that works for you and what you want to do! Everything from local nursing homes/palliative care units/Ronald McDonald Houses to charities to cards for troops is out there - LOTS to choose from!
Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!).
For those reading/watching - I would love if you'd take the time to leave comments/questions/etc for those that sent in something in the comments below and I know those that sent in would love to read them!
Hey everyone! It's July 5th which means Waffle Flower's released some NEW stamps and dies!!
You can check out all the new products here (it looks like a lot - but there's 4 new stamp sets and 5 sets of dies. With Waffle Flower you can get just the stamps and/or just the dies or get them in a "combo" set and they come in the new WF rainbow vinyl envelopes to store them together):
AND since it's a new release there's a fun blog hop going along to celebrate!
Also stay tuned to the end as there's GIVEAWAY info!!
Here's what I created:
I couldn't resist the gorgeous coneflower image in the new Bouquet Builder 2 set. And as usual since I couldn't decide on what color I stamped it multiple times and coloured them a rainbow of colors.
I used my Mission Gold watercolors for all the watercoloring, and then used the coordinating die to cut them all out.
The backgrounds were done with Distress Oxide inks after being die cut with the largest of the WF A2 Nesting Rectangles 1 Die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Bouquet Builder 2 set onto my background panel then adhered all my die cut flowers to it.
I added some bling with some Studio Katia chunky glitter to the cones of the flowers and used the larger chunky glitter on the background.
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the coneflowers with various Distress Oxide inks and that was it!

It's the Color Throwdown Challenge's 500th challenge!! You can check out their post HERE <-----click! to see what the rest of the team made and we'd love for you to play along!
Here's what I created:
I used Simon Says Stamp's new Strangeness stamp set from their Good Vibes release, and stamped it onto Distress watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed it. I then used my Arteza Real Brush pens and a water brush to color it all in.
I used Simon's Painted Friend wafer die for my sentiment, stacking it with 3 layers of black card stock then topping it with a gold glitter card stock. The companion sentiment is from Simon's newer Messages for Everyday stamp set and I heat embossed that with SSS gold embossing powder onto Soft Navy card stock.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the large floral stamp from the Strangeness stamp set with Simon's Soft Navy ink, then paired my card with a Cotton Candy envelope and that was it!

Hey everyone!! I'm a little behind with getting these cards posted - tho really I started making them ON Canada Day lol.
I've had the Neat & Tangled Beavers Eh stamp set for a while now (b/c as a Canadian stamper I think it's a requirement to own it - LOL) and it seemed rather fitting to ink it up and make some cards with it during the long weekend here.
I stamped all the images from the set onto Neenah Classic Crest 80lb card stock with Ink on 3's Blackout ink then coloured them all in with Copic markers.
I added highlights and whatnot to all the images with my large white Gelly Roll pen then die cut them with the coordinating wafer dies.
All the card bases and die cut leaves (Maple leaves of course) were sponged with Distress Inks, and I die cut N7T's Big Hugs wafer die from dark brown card stock and stacked 3 each of them together for each card before adhering my beavers.
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the maple leaf image from Neat & Tangled's Maple Thanks stamp set using the same Distress Inks I'd used to sponge the die cut ones. I then stamped sentiments from the Beavers Eh stamp set with the Blackout Ink and that was it!
