Hello everyone! I've had the idea for these baby cards in the back of my head ever since I created these fun Easter cards using Simon's Reverse Polka Background stamp <-----click!
I've admitted that I've been rather obsessed lately with using Distress Oxide inks on Neenah's Desert Storm card stock - and I don't think I'll be able to stop anytime soon LOL! I stamped the Reverse Polka Background stamp onto the Desert Storm card stock using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink, and without re-inking the stamp I stamped it a second time to get the lighter version you see on the left. I LOVE getting 2 backgrounds with only one inking!
I used the Oh, Baby stamp set for all my images, stamping them onto the Desert Storm card stock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. For this first card I coloured in the images with the Oxide inks and a waterbrush before die cutting them.
For me second card I stamped the solid parts of the images with the Oxide inks and then the outline with the Versafine Onyx Black before die cutting them and adhering them to the card front.
I finished off the insides of the cards with stamped sentiments from the Oh Baby stamp set and stamped some of the images again with the same Oxide inks and that was it!
