I'll be back later with card videos using it!! :) :) :)
Here's all the links:
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the products have little icons below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. You can hover over the icons and it will tell you what store that link will take you to. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
So last month Honey Bee Stamps had an uber adorable release but I wasn't able to do a Release & Review video on it 'till today as the dies JUST showed up (thanks Canada Post for taking forever....). I've already made a couple of cards with the new stamps - one of which you can check out here:
The second card I show in this video but I don't have a post or video for it. It was what I was working on editing when my laptop crashed and I lost all the footage. I plan to re-make and re-film the card - hopefully I can get that done ASAP!

Hey everyone! After all my tech issues related to my computer crashing (no new updates on that since this one <----click) I'm still struggling to get caught up (which is me on a normal day and this has just compounded it a million times). My old Mac is holding up though to me editing and uploading (other than it takes longer as it's slower and I can't multitask like I did before lol) so I am still doing my thing!
My latest obsession is "what will this look like on kraft?" LOL. I've had the Gansai Tambi Pearl colors for some time now and I've played around with them but I was curious to see how they'd look on Kraft card stock. So I pulled out this WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquets: Ranunculus stamp set and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder on Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I then used the Pearl colors to color it in.
I also used the Pearl colors on the die cut sentiment. I used WPlus9's Basic Greetings dies and die cut some Lawn Fawn Guava card stock that I'd run through my Xyron Sticker Marker. After stacking the sentiments I painted on the coral Pearl watercolor to make it shimmery.
I finished the inside of the card with a heat embossed sentiment from the stamp set, and also heat embossed the Ranunculus image onto a SSS Khaki Woodgrain envelope - LOVE how the gold embossing looks on that envelope with the woodgrain!! <3

Ohhhhh Monday. Well the sun is shining here (might actually stay warm enough this week to really start melting all this snow!), I've run some errands and took a kid to the dentist - now back to work.
I've got in so many fun Easter & Spring-themed items lately - gotta post this haul of them and then get using them!! ;)
If you missed my first 2 Easter-themed cards you can find them here:

I am SO late this year with my Easter card series :(. Between Easter being early this year and my laptop crashing and just LIFE - I'm running waaayyyy behind! I have so many ideas and so much great products to use tho. So lets get into it!
If you missed the first card(s) in the series you can see them here:
I just love this My Favorite Things Somebunny Sweet set - all the Pure Innocence images are the cutest really! I combined this set with an older Pure Innocence set (Spring Friends - I think it was released last year but it's still available!) for the little bunny, chick and butterfly images.
I stamped the images onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with MFT's Extreme Black ink then coloured them in with Copic markers.
I used MFT's Its Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels 6x6 papers to paper piece her dress and for the grass and the card front as well. Those little polka dots just make me happy lol! I used the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress ink to create the sky, and everything was framed with the new Elegant Rectangles STAX Die-namics.
I finished off the inside of the card with another sentiment from the Somebunny Sweet stamp set then stamped the eggs with some of MFT's dye inks and that was it!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend! We took the kids sledding at a big hill close by since we still have a TON of snow here (it's FINALLY starting to melt!) and that wore me out (still loads of fun). We also searched high and low for a very specific screwdriver that Chris needs to take apart my laptop (lots of you have been asking for updates). I ended up having to order it online (I'm not surprised Apple would invent a completely different sort of screwdriver to make it more difficult for people to fix things themselves etc), once it arrives Chris can take it apart so that he can confirm the part(s) we need before I spend all the $$ ordering them (they're expensive so it's worth taking the time and extra steps to be sure). So far my old Mac is holding up to me editing and uploading videos on it - they just take longer on my end.
I finally got a little bit of quiet time today though so I was able to get this Studio Katia March 2018 Release & Review video filmed and edited! I already made one card so far with this release - you can check that out here if you missed it:
You can watch in HD over on YouTube HERE <------click!

Hello everyone!! Simon Says Stamp had an awesome HUGE release this week (you can check it out HERE <----click! I also did a Release & Review video HERE) and to share inspiration with all the new products there are 2 days of blog hops! If you missed yesterday's hop you can check it out HERE. There is also GIVEAWAY info at the end of the post!!
I'm way behind on starting my Easter card series this year, and the second I saw the new Oh Bunny stamp set I KNEW I had to ink it up first!
As of making these cards I am now OBSESSED with using Distress Oxide inks on Neenah Desert Storm card stock. The solid bunny images stamped with those inks made for the brightest and most fun patterned background!
I'm also really glad that I hoarded my pack of mini pom poms - they make for perfect little bunny butts ;).
Another fast favourite from this release is the new Reverse Polka Background stamp - ESPECIALLY stamped with white pigment ink on the Neenah Desert Storm.
For both cards I heat embossed the outline bunny images with white embossing powder onto the Desert Storm card stock. I then used the Distress Oxide inks and a water brush to color in the one set and the Unicorn White pigment ink and a water brush to color in the other.
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the individual outline bunny images with the Distress Oxide inks and a sentiment from the Oh Bunny set with SSS Intense Black Ink and that was it!

It's FINALLY Friday!! This has felt like the longest week ever. Thankfully my kids are feeling better, and since it's almost the weekend there will hopefully be time for us to get the tools we need to take apart my laptop to confirm the hard drive and whatnot that we need to order (for those unaware my laptop crashed last week and I lost a ton of video footage. It's my bread & butter that machine - I edit all my videos and photos and do ALL my work on it. Losing that has been rather devastating and just a tad stressful to say the least). My old Mac has been holding up OK in the meantime so I'm still able to get work done!!
There's a bunch of fabulous designers participating in these hops to give a ton of inspiration with the new products. If you didn't get here from Tracy's blog you can start at the beginning HERE <------click!
Here's what I made with some of the new products:
I was really inspired by the new Satin Rainbow Confetti mix - so I used the new Confetti Stencil on my card base and sponged on a bunch of different Distress ink Colors. Without removing the stencil I added Tonic's Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste - so they're sparkly confetti to boot!
I REALLY didn't want to cover any of the card base - so I heat embossed the Confetti Kindness stamp onto some Judikins embossable window plastic and die cut it with a circle wafer die. I then used the larger of the new Fancy Circle wafer dies to create my frame, adhered the sentiment to it and made it into a shaker. I added a bunch of the new Sparkling Stars Chunky Glitter to the shaker, and adhered a bunch of the Iridescent Clear Crystals to the frame. In real life this card is ALLLLL bling!
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the new Label Messages stamp set, and stamped the little confetti/starburst images from the Confetti Kindness stamp set with those same Distress Inks and that was it!

Hello everyone! I'm SUPER late with my MFT March 2018 Release & Review video. I'm playing catch up thanks to my laptop crashing last week (I still haven't found the time to re-make and re-film all the card footage that was lost - I'll get there tho!!) and this week's it's been all about my kids and dealing with them getting sick (and now me getting sick) and the ton of snow we got here!
LOL this week has felt like a constant "one step forward 10 steps back" sort of situation and it's only Wednesday.
Anywho - I filmed the MFT March 2018 Release & Review video - AKA showing all the new release and my random thought process as I brainstorm ideas for them:

Hello everyone! It's crazy to believe that we're almost a week into March (we got a TON of snow here in Saskatchewan the night before last so it definitely doesn't feel like spring yet here). Anywho - here's what was sent to my PO box last month:
If you'd like to mail a card to be featured in an upcoming Happy Mail Haul video here's my mailing address:
Amy Rysavy
Box 1041 MARTENSVILLE PO
Martensville, SK
S0K 2T0
Canada
March Theme: Animals/Critters/Bugs
April Theme: Mother's Day/Coffee
May Theme: Father's Day/Masculine Cards
June Theme: Water/Ocean/Beach
Like I mention in all the Happy Mail Haul videos - I am not strict with the themes.. The post can be notoriously slow especially getting to me here in Canada, so I like to share everything that shows up in my PO Box the previous month regardless!
Also if you haven't sent in a card before but want to go ahead! I love seeing what y'all are making, and being able to share it with the rest of my audience. We all have to start somewhere ;). Also again there's no need to send gifts or anything like that. I more than appreciate the thought, and I read all the letters I receive (I can't respond to them but I read and keep all of them!).
For those reading/watching - I would love if you'd take the time to leave comments/questions/etc for those that sent in something in the comments below!
Hello everyone!! It's been a crazy start to the week (but my old Mac is holding up so far to my workload) - which included a TON of snow overnight. I spent a good chunk of my morning shovelling out my walkway and sidewalk and eve a path for my car to get out as it's literally too deep to drive through. Such a great start to March (though they say when March comes in like a lion...... let's hope it holds true LOL!) among other things.
Anywho - since my laptop crashed last week and I lost all my video footage - I am WAAAYYY late to the Color Throwdown Challenge! I tried to get this card and video up ASAP!
I've been itching to use the bunny image from the SSS Showers & Flowers stamp set - it was a part of their March card kit (the kit is sold out but everything is available separately and I have links to all of it below). In the kit was a pack of pom poms and OF COURSE they have to be used on the bunny's tail - I mean how adorable is this?
The bunny was heat embossed onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock then coloured in with Prismacolor Pencils.
I used the Folk Dance Stencil on my card base, and added some Studio Katia crystals to the flower centers. The sentiment is SSS's Painted Tanks wafer die - I stacked that 3 times to give it some depth before adhering it to the card.
I finished off the inside of the card with some more patterned paper and a sentiment from the Showers & Flowers stamp set and that was it!

Hello everyone! So far so good with using my old computer to get videos edited and uploaded (fail safes and backups in place just in case). I talked more about what's been going on in yesterday's post HERE <-----click!. A HUGE thank you to all of you who reached out with support and whatnot.
We're looking at completely replacing the hard drive on my laptop (not cheap but still way cheaper than getting a new one right now), and Chris was able to get all my files and random things not already backed up off the ruined hard drive but sadly I lost all the raw video footage (I'm sure it was something in there that caused the crash). It's a kick to the teeth to lose over a week's worth of work (I had several Gig's of footage that hadn't been edited yet for multiple videos - literally well over a week of work) on top of everything but there's nothing I can do now other than re-make and re-film all the cards.
Anywho lesson learned the hard way and I've purchased an external hard drive and whatnot to keep extra footage on before it's been uploaded to my YouTube channel! Last week was incredibly stressful (it seems like such a blur - that feeling of your only source of income being halted and scrambling to try and fix it then top that with kids getting sick and EVERYTHING going wrong.....makes sense why this weekend I've felt physically and mentally exhausted!!).
SO - all that said - I made a couple more cards and got another video done in the meantime:
I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Paws-itivity stamp set and Paws Background stamp and stencil from the SSS Friends release. My original plan was to make the first card on the left but ended up making 2 cards with all the supplies I had out.
For my first card I stamped and heat embossed the group of paws image onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Hero Arts white embossing powder then used a water brush and Distress Inks to colour it in.
The "Pawsome!" sentiment and the Paws Background were heat embossed with Wendi Vecchi's Potting Soil embossing powder - I love the look of that EP on Neenah Desert Storm card stock!
I kept card #2 more on the clean and simple side. I heat embossed the paws image onto Desert Storm card stock and used the same Distress Inks and water brush to cooler them in (using less water and only one layer of colour as it's not watercolor paper).
I used the Paws Background stencil on the card base and sponged a little of the Vintage Photo Distress Ink over it.
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the paw images along the bottoms and that was it!

For those that follow me on Instagram and Facebook y'all are well aware that I had MASSIVE tech problems this week. The hard drive on my laptop crashed - and as someone who blogs/posts videos/uses a computer 24/7 as my full time job and only source of income for me and 4 kids - it's been extremely stressful. Chris was successfully (we think - we won't know for sure until we test it) able to extract my files and footage off the laptop, and the next step is he's going to try to replace the hard drive and get me back on my feet. Of course it's a part that needs to be ordered, and we don't KNOW yet if it will work. However he's a tech expert so it's in the best hands possible - if Chris can't fix my laptop it means it's totally friend and unfixable (and means I'll have to get a new one which I am REALLY hoping doesn't happen. They're incredibly expensive but when it's one of the most important tools in order to do your job it's a 100% necessity).
In the meantime I've spent countless hours updating my old iMac (and haemorrhaging money into purchasing external hard drives and extra SD cards and other things to get my old iMac into usable shape) and today's post is my first attempt at getting a video edited and uploaded from it again! It's taken me a good three times longer than it usually does - but SOMETHING is better than nothing!
To top it all off my munchkins have come down with fevers and one with an ear infection and I've been juggling extra on the mom front (when it rains it pours!).
ANYWHO - that's the big, crazy, stressful life update - but the positive is #1 my littles are feeling better (they're bickering as I type this - always a sign of them feeling better as they have the energy to fight over random inconsequential things)... and #2 I was able to get this video and photos edited and uploaded after innumerable trial and error!!
This also helped cheer me up through all the craziness ;). I pulled out the Doodlebug So Punny collection and Simon Says Stamp's Foodie Friends stamp set and made 2 "soda-pop-themed" cards!! In case you weren't aware - Simon collaborated with Doodlebug to create this coordinating Foodie Friends set (and there's the Breakfast Buddies set too!) to complement the So Punny line. Of course me being an obsessed hoarder of all things Doodlebug this is all right up my alley LOL!
I stamped the pop bottle and pop can images from the SSS Foodie Friends stamp set onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb card stock with SSS Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copic markers before die cutting them with the coordinating wafer dies.
I used the newer Repeating Circles Wafer Die to "frame" the images, and sponged Gathered Twigs Distress Ink onto it. I then used the "falling snow" stamp from the SSS Falling Backgrounds set and stamped it upside down to make it look like carbonation bubbles! ;)
I did something very similar for the second card and just used Simon's Nested Circle dies for my background.
I finished off the insides of my cards with the "falling snow" stamp again and adhered the Doodlebug images to the insides and that was it!
