For those not familiar with the kits I've linked to Simon's Kit Subscription page as well as the Kit FAQ page in the supply list below - that should answer any questions you might have!
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the products have little icons below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. You can hover over the icons and it will tell you what store that link will take you to. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
OK I'm back!! If you missed my earlier post with a card and video using some of these new goodies (along with a giveaway!!)you can check it out HERE <------click!

Hello everyone! Studio Katia just released some amazing new stamps, dies and embellishments (I'll have a Release & Review video coming a little later today!) and to celebrate a bunch of designers are participating in a blog hop! Stay tuned till the end of this post as I'm hosting a giveaway as well!!
Here's what all was released:
I of course zeroed in on the large floral image from the new Blooming Bunch stamp set. I can't wait to ink up the other sets tho (hello a coffee set? And the Kobi's Hugs & Kisses set is adorable).
I heat embossed the image on watercolor card stock with white embossing powder, then watercolored it using 3 Distress Inks.
I used the new Best Ever stamp set and the coordinating die set to make my sentiment, and popped them up on the card with Darice Foam Strips. The crystal hearts are the new Magic Hearts from Studio Katia - they have a mirror-like backing to them which is so fun!
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the floral image with SSS Fog ink, then stamped a sentiment from the same Blooming Bunch stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink and that was it!

I created the "patterned paper" background using WPlus9's Holiday Trimmings stamp set and 3 different colors of MFT dye ink.
For my main image I used WPlus9's Holiday Hugs stamp set, and colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from the Holiday Trimmings set, and I popped both the sentiment and main image up with Darice Foam strips.
To finish the inside of the card I stamped the main image with Kraft ink then stamped the Holiday Hugs sentiment with black ink and that was it!

Oh what a day. So many technical issues and things not working properly made for a rather frustrating day. However, I did manage to FINALLY get this card made - the idea for it has been brewing for the longest time now:
Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for gift cards (and not just in the receiving of them LOL). So many nowadays have patterns and designs on them and I can't tell y'all how many times I've been inspired to create something based on a gift card!
This card was COMPLETELY inspired by a gift card - the minute I saw it I knew I wanted to create a card matching the cute little characters. Simon Says Stamp has all these adorable Picture Book wafer dies and these 3 were too perfect to recreate the "scene" on the gift card.
I die cut all my pieces to create my characters from scraps of card stock (I rave in the video about the Sidekick machine - seriously I am SO glad I got one. For small die cutting like this where I'm doing multiple passes to get all the little pieces having a small machine made the process go a LOT faster) to create my characters. After I had adhered everything I added highlights and whatnot with a white gel pen.
The background was sponged with Distress Oxide ink (anyone else as antsy as I am for Ranger to release the next batch of colors? I am obsessed with these inks!!). I then die cut the background with the SSS Sparkling Snowflakes Breeze wafer die.
The "fence" was created with a scrap of card stock, SSS's Basic Stripes stamp set and some Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink. The "snow" on top of the fence was made with one of the Drifting Stitches Borders dies.
And there's the gift card on the inside of the card! I die cut some Doodlebug patterned paper with the SSS Prettied Up Gift Card wafer die to hold it in place. I didn't add any sentiments to the card so that there's place under the gift card to write to the recipient.

Hello everyone!! One of my orders from all the fun of the Black Friday sales showed up, as well as some items that were sent to me - so I combined that into one "haul" video (though I tend to ramble and share ideas in these videos - it's not all just "look at this" LOL!)
ALSO - since it was a great sale I thought I'd pick up a couple of my favorite stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp, and give them away to one of you! I REALLY appreciate all your support, the encouragement and comments and whatnot really make my day. Stay tuned to the end of this post for that give-away!

Hello everyone! I got a chance yesterday to make a winter coffee-themed card - the Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop is in FULL swing right now. You can check it out HERE with all the info <-------click! Everyone can play along and there's TONS of giveaways and prizes to be won!
I went all out with the coffee theme for my card:
I pulled out this Darcie's Yeti to Party stamp set and inked up the polar bear image from the set and coloured him in with Copic markers. He was PERFECT for this blog hop!
The coffee shaped card was made from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Chill 12x12 papers and Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Cup Card Honey Cuts Dies (LOVE that die set - FYI tho you either need the extended platform and extended cutting plates for your die cut machine or a machine that has a larger cutting surface b/c the main die in this set is 11" long!).
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Yeti to Party set onto the "lid" of the card, and added some little snowflakes from the Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes Lawn Cuts set.
Isn't that gift card PERFECT? I feel validated in hoarding all my cute Starbucks cards when projects like this come together lol. I used the Lawn Fawn Simple Gift Card Slots Lawn Cuts die to cut the notches to hold the gift card in place, and added some more snowflakes and another heat embossed sentiment from the Yeti to Party set and that was it!

Hello everyone! I'm up on the Honey Bee Stamps blog today <------click! as one of their designers for their 12 Days of Christmas inspiration posts! Be sure to check out my post over there as Honey Bee is giving away gift certificates from comments on their posts and a BIG one on the last day!!
I didn't have to think too hard when it came to picking out my favorite Honey Bee Stamps/Honey Cuts dies to use. I think I've made it pretty obvious how much I love their Zen Bouquet set - so this time I decided to put a spin on it and use it to make Christmas cards:
I heat embossed the large image from the Zen Bouquet stamp set onto watercolour paper with Nuvo's white embossing powder. I used my Tombow markers and a water brush to color it in and kept the color combo to red and greens only.
After everything had dried I splattered on some gold using one of the gold watercolours from the Gansai Tambi Starry colors palette. Again I let everything dry then cut my card fronts using the largest die from Honey Bee's A2 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cuts die set.
For my sentiments I used the Merry Christmas stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I die cut the "Holidays" and "Christmas" from gold glitter paper and backed them with vellum that was die cut from the coordinating outline dies.
The "Merry" and "Happy" were stamped onto red and green card stock and heat embossed with the same white embossing powder before being die cut with their coordinating outline dies.
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the sentiments from the Merry & Bright stamp set in red and green inks and that was it!

Don't forget to head on over to the Honey Bee Stamps blog to leave comments on all the 12 Days of Christmas posts (I'm Day 10 so there's 2 more to go as well!) to be entered in to win!!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday. I'm hopping along with several fellow Canadian designers for a blog hop for ScrapNStamp Canada! For my Canadian peeps there's giveaway info at the end of the post!
We all are using the Lawn Fawn String of Lights Lawn Cuts set in our creations so make sure to check out the hop to see what everyone else made!
I jam packed my card full of lightbulbs LOL! I couldn't resist playing some more with Ranger alcohol inks and after adding a bunch of them plus some gold mixative for some extra shimmer. After they were dry I die cut out a bunch of the bulbs from the Lawn Fawn String of Lights set. I also die cut the bases and the "string" from some gold shine card stock.
I used Tim Holtz Sizzix Holiday Greens Thinlits dies for the pine branches. For my sentiment I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Happy Happy Add-on stamp set and Scripty Merry Lawn Cuts.
On the inside of the card I used this funny Two-Lips sentiment stamp that just cracks me up. I then added some of the remaining alcohol-ink bulbs and that was it!

Good luck!
Happy Friday!! I hope y'all are gearing up for a great weekend! FYI stay tuned as I have a LOT going on here on the blog this weekend!
First off I have these adorable snowmen cards using Mama Elephant stamps and dies:
I couldn't just make one card with this set - I had too many ideas running around for it so I had to at least make 2 different ones!
My first card features the snowmen and the "let it snow" die cut that comes in the coordinating die set. I heat embossed the images onto Bristol smooth card stock and used my Clean Color Real Brush markers and a detail water brush to color them all in.
I did some masking on the second card so that I had an entire panel of the snowmen, also heat embossed and coloured the same way.
For both cards I used some of Simon Says Stamp's new glitter paper (and I show in the video how I saved most of it) to frame both images as well as for the die cut sentiment.
I finished off the insides of the cards with sentiments from Mama Elephants Puffy Holiday Greetings set and that was it!

Hello everyone! I'm still plugging away at my Christmas Card Series - I have SO many ideas (and SO many stamps and dies....lol) for cards and tags and all sorts of things! I'm at video #15 so far, and the goal is 25 at least! I don't follow any sort of schedule (I swear every time I try life just laughs and says "watch this") so please stay tuned!
The idea for these cards took on a life of it's own as I sat down to make ONE card that was supposed to be traditional watercolor on watercolor paper. That turned into 3 cards all done with pearlescent/metallic/iridescent watercolours lol:
I pulled out the WPlus9 Christmas Rose Bouquet set for these cards, I LOVE this stamp it's just gorgeous. I decided to heat emboss the image onto 3 different colors of dark card stock (blue, green and black) with three different colors of metallic embossing powders (silver, rose gold and gold).
After heat embossing the images I used 3 different FineTec watercolor palettes to color in all the images.
The sentiments are from the WPlus9 Be Merry Sentiments set, and I heat embossed those with the same embossing powder as each image.
For the green card I used Avery Elle Rose Gold embossing powder and the FineTec Iridescent palette. These watercolours have a duochrome look to them so on dark card stock when the light hits it they look like they're glowing!!
For the blue card stock I heat embossed the image with Avery Elle silver embossing powder, then used the large FineTec palette and did more "traditional" colouring.
For the black card stock I embossed the image in Avery Elle gold embossing powder then used my Pearlescent FineTec palette that has the golds and coppers in it.
I used Studio Katia jewels to embellish each card - in real life they catch the light and just play off the metallic/pearlescent of the watercolor and it's just gorgeous!
I finished off the insides of the cards with sentiments from the Be Merry Sentiments set and of course embossed them with the same embossing powders and that was it!
To see how these cards came together check out my video below:
I think I mention in the video that there are other options to these FineTec palette's (though I LOVE these palettes - they're definitely something I'd put on a Christmas wish list ;)) - you can check out some options HERE at SSS <-----click!

Hello everyone! I created this fun penguin card over the weekend - and it has NO stamping - all die cuts and was so fun to make:
I fell in love with the Picture Book Penguin wafer dies Simon Says Stamp just released - I love all their Picture Book characters but these are just too cute!
I only used 4 different card stocks to make this card - black, white, Audrey Blue and a tiny bit of Sunshine for their beaks and that was it!
I also LOVE the huge new Nested Talk Bubbles wafer dies - I used the largest one on this card, then die cut the new Oh, Hello There sentiment from black card stock.
I finished off the inside of the card with another snow drift cut with one of the Drifting Stitches border dies and the Picture Book Secret penguin and that was it!

Hello everyone! I'm taking part in a blog hop for Day 2 celebrating Simon Says Stamp's DieCember® 2017 release! There's giveaway info at the end so be sure to check out the whole post! :)
For my cards today I decided to try out Ranger's alcohol inks for the first time. I was just playing around with them but thankfully was filming as I ended up being happy with the end result and ended up making 4 CAS (clean and simple) cards using several of the newly released DieCember® wafer dies!
Since I decided to create 4 cards I decided to keep them clean and simple and let the die cuts and alcohol ink background take centre stage.
For my first card I used the new Sun and Moon Collage die and the new Script Miss You die. I pulled out the previously released Space Journey die set to get the "ring" to make the "moon" a planet, and added some stars as well. I used Simon's new Silver Glitter paper for those as well as for my sentiments and I am in LOVE with this glitter paper. It really does die cut like a dream!!
I finished off the inside of my card with a sentiment from the SSS Shine On stamp set that I heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I then stamped images from the same set with Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink.
I ended up making 2 cards with the Evergreen Circle die as I had enough of the alcohol ink background and didn't want to waste any of it. I used the new Script Hello die on one card and the previously released Script Thanks die on the other.
I heat embossed sentiments from SSS's Big Scripty Greetings set to finish off the insides of both cards.
For my last card I used the new Sensational Snowflake Collage die, and combined it with the Happy Christmas sentiment set and the Christmas Blessings wafer die.
I finished off the inside of this card with a sentiment from the same Happy Christmas stamp set and that was it!
