Hello everyone! I'm the hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:
You can find all the info HERE <------click! as well as all the Design Team inspiration too. Play along if you'd like - it's open to everyone and all the info is in the CTD blog!
Here's what I came up with:
I've been wanting to use the new Simon Says Stamp Fractile Leaves ever since I got it and this week's challenge was perfect for it.
I stamped all the leaves onto Distress watercolour paper and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then applied Distress Inks directly to the paper and sprayed it with a water bottle. I knew using these colors together would result in some muddy color mixing - but in this case I was OK with that. Fall colors have some brown and mud color mixed in there so it all just worked!
I die cut the "Together" sentiment directly on the watercolored paper, then stacked it with several die cut pieces from SSS Royal Purple card stock, which I also stamped and embossed the smaller sentiment on.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping another sentiment from the Together set and heat embossing it with gold, then inked up several of the leaves with multiple colors of Distress ink and stamped them and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
