Simon Says Stamp did it again!! Last year they released their first Limited Edition Halloween Card Kit and it sold out in HOURS. They've done other Limited Edition kits since (a Christmas one and an Easter one) and same thing - they sell out in a blink!
SO - this year I am betting this Limited Edition Kit will be no different. It's a BIG kit - and not part of their monthly subscription kits. This kit is a separate purchase and once it's sold out it's gone for good. I have linked to all the individual items in the kit as well (in case anyone wants to get extras plus for when the kit sells out) below.
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
FINALLY getting a chance to share this!! LOL my pre-orders had arrived and I just piled them into a box, life happens (what else is new) and now getting around to filming and linking (and then hopefully USING) these goodies:

Hey everyone! I have another Halloween-themed card for y'all - this time using absolutely NO Halloween specific stamps LOL!
I love the Honey Bee Stamps Little Pickup set that I just got not too long ago, and looking at the pumpkin stamp in the set I decided to make a Halloween card with it.
I used my new Avery Elle Fine Black embossing powder (I show and swatch them in the haul video HERE if you missed it) for the pickup and the pumpkins and then watercolored them in with Distress Inks and a water brush.
The background was done with Distress Oxide inks - I sponged them onto the Bristol Smooth card stock, sprayed them with my Distress Sprayer then added white splatter.
I got a little creative with the sentiment - I didn't have any Honey Bee sets that have a Halloween word stamp - so I cut up a couple of sentiments from the Happiness set to get the letters I needed to spell Halloween.
Like I mention in the video you can achieve the same thing if you just wanted to mask off the letters you DON'T want with tape - it would just take more time and effort. I don't have a problem with cutting my stamps apart anymore - I get more use out of them that way - and they still work like they were originally meant to!
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the pickup and the pumpkins with the same Distress inks I used to color in the images on the front and that was it!

I'm back with another Halloween Card!!! Though technically this one isn't Halloween at all - can be for any occasion as it's just funny - but Halloween seemed fitting LOL!
This is a 4.25" square card.
I picked up a really fun sentiment stamp not too long ago (showed in in this haul video HERE) and the main reason for getting the stamp was to use it with this Mama Elephant Tiny Ninjas set and make a card like this!
I created a circle spinner channel using Lawn Fawn's Slide on Over Circle lawn cuts (like I mention in the video you don't HAVE to use these - staggering 2 nesting circle dies would work too as long as they were spaced properly) to cut the "channel" for my spinner. I used grey card stock that I had stamped with the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Cobwebs stamp and white pigment ink. I also stamped the little spider image from the Mama Elephant Bootastic set with black ink onto my background.
The ninja on the outside and the ones on the inside of the card were stamped with Hero Arts Intense black ink onto neenah solar white 110lb card stock then coloured in with Copic Markers.
On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment that inspired the whole thing, added the remaining ninjas and stamped a couple more spiders and that was it!

Throughout these Halloween videos I've been giving away the Halloween cards via rafflecopter widgets. This one however is going to the person who won the extra Karate Master stamp from me when I gave it away in that haul video. I thought it would be a fun touch to include the card. I'll be back to doing regular giveaways of my Halloween cards with the new Halloween-themed post! :) :) :)
A Saturday Honey Bee Stamps Haul video for y'all! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend so far! I'm hoping to get some time to make a bunch more Halloween cards - ideas are brewing!! What are your weekend plans?

OK I'm back! I was in a very "fall" mood (though right now it feels like anything but fall here - it's been hot all week) when I created these cards:
I was inspired by a pack of patterned paper when making these cards. LOL those that have followed me for some time know I have a tendency to hoard my patterned paper and don't use it that often - BUT I can't even begin to count how many times I've flipped through my papers and been inspired by the color combos/patterns/etc.
This time I actually used some of the papers that inspired me, and paired them with SSS's new Ornate Leaves stamp set.
I went through my SSS Dye Inks and found colors that were similar to those on the papers, and used my MISTI and a microfibre cloth to ink up the stamps and ombre them from the lightest ink to the darkest.
All the card bases were made from SSS Slate card stock and stamped with the new Ornate Background stamp using the MISTI and black ink. LOVE that stamp - need to ink it up a million times more!
I embossed the sentiments and swirls with gold embossing powder, then added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold and Black to finish them off.
For all the insides of the cards I die cut SSS Ivory card stock with their largest Stitched Rectangle wafer dies, then added the matching patterned paper and the remaining stamped and cut out Ornate Leaves images and that was it!

Happy Friday!!! This week FLEW by for me - I feel like it's been a whirlwind with a new routine to adjust to - but so far so good!
I JUST got a package today that had some MFT goodies in it so I lost no time in doing an "unboxing" video for their August Card Kit as it's still available for purchase:
I'll be back later with another video - still have some editing to do and a ton of laundry too while I'm at it (with 4 kids that's a never ending chore LOL). Hope y'all are having a fabulous day! <3

Well I started slipping already (insert eyeroll here) and am late with this week's Color Throwdown challenge! In my defence my kids started school this week so it's been a big change to routine and I ain't gonna lie - momma's a little tired LOL.
Anywho - this week's Color Throwdown Challenge was inspired by this:
Check out the CTD blog HERE <-----click! The team posts what they make and there's a widget at the end of the post for people to enter links to their creations using these colors - TONS of inspiration and anyone is welcome to play along! All the info/rules are on the Color Throwdown Challenge blog.
So here's what I created:
I went with dots instead of stripes (those who know me and my obsession with black and white stripes are probably a little shocked) - mostly because when I pulled out my much loved Dots & Stripes Neutral 6x6 pack there weren't any black and white striped papers left in it LOL! I do have another new pack of it but decided to use these polka dot papers b/c they're cute too!
I wanted to use the new MFT Thank You Circle Frame Die-namics, and pairing it with the Shaker Flower Die-namics was just a given LOL! I big puffy heart this die set and reach for it often.
I used the new A2 Rectangle STAX (Set 2) Die-namics for this card - if y'all missed me raving about this set in my Release & Review video you can check it out HERE. I am SOOOOO happy MFT made these a reality!
I filled the shaker pouch with a bunch of Pretty Pink Posh 4mm sequins and their marshmallow seed beads - backed with black and white polka dot paper of course.
I finished the inside of the card with red and white striped patterned paper from MFT's Hearts & Stripes paper pack (all die cut with the A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2) and white card stock that I stamped a sentiment from the Grateful for You set.
That sentiment jumped out to me as I was looking at the set - if I could make a card with that to send to each and every one of you that takes the time out of your day to visit my corner of the interweb and leave such wonderfully sweet comments and use my links etc etc etc I would! Consider this card a virtual ((((hug))))) from me <3

I'm back with Part 2 of my STAMPtember® Release & Review videos! SSS was SO incredibly generous and when this second package of goodies arrived I lost no time filming it to share with y'all!
For those of you not aware: Simon Says Stamp started STAMPtember® several years ago and it's a month-long celebration of stamping and crafting and FUN. There's a BIG release on the 1st of the month and a bunch of special exclusive collaboration releases throughout the month as well as giveaways and goodness-knows what sort of excitement.

Hello hello everyone! I just finished editing up all the links for this video - MFT's September release is such a fun one and I have a looonnnggg chatty release & review video for y'all LOL:
I mention my Sales & Coupons page <------click! in the video - make sure you check that page regularly as I keep it as updated as possible and lots of sales and coupons are time-sensitive. I also post new release info there as it helps keep it all in one spot.
Also FYI - Kim (owner of MFT) is donating 10% off gross sales at My Favorite Things from 9/5/17 to 9/12/17 on top of this. As this is their biggest sales volume of the month with the new release the donation will be significant and I think it's just wonderful!

OMGoodness people. The amount of issues I had getting this video made/edited/uploaded is ridiculous - however it's DONE and now I can share it with all of you!
I bought Pretty Pink Posh's Halloween Friends set last year when it was released, and never got a chance to use it. THIS year I wanted to ink it up b/c it's too cute to sit unused LOL!
I also wanted to use the Smile Shaker wafer die from PPP as I've had that sitting here just begging to be used - and so I decided to combine them to create a fun Halloween "scene", as well as turn them into "flat" shaker cards (aka no layers of foam tape - which make this kind perfect for popping in the mail without worrying about padded envelopes and whatnot).
I used Prang watercolours to color in all the images, and to create the "night sky" background. If you're looking for a decent beginner set (or want to get some for your kids) I highly recommend these. They've got a decent color payoff and layer quite well and aren't "chalky" like some of the other cheaper sets I have.
I've linked to them on Amazon as well as to a Crayola set that's quite similar - even though I have a TON of different types of watercolour (I like to collect and try out as many kinds as possible - call it my "side" hobby to this one if you will) from cheap to high-end artist quality - I think these ones are a great option if you are just starting out or want to experiment with mixing and messing around and don't want to "waste" more expensive watercolours.
Anywho - back to the card. I die cut a window through the watercolored background and through the front of the card base itself - so you can see into the inside of the card. For my shaker element I used my Fuse tool (it's been soooooo long since I'd pulled it out - I had forgotten how fun it was to create shaker pouches with!) and made "flat" shaker pouches that I filled with PPP sequins.
I used my Xyron Creative Station Lite to apply adhesive to the back of the yellow card stock before I ran it through my Big Shot with the Smile Shaker die, and to apply adhesive to all the stamped characters. Doing that made the rest of these cards come together like a breeze.
I finished off the inside of the cards by stamping the sentiment, spider and bat from the set with black ink then adhered the remaining 2 stamped and coloured images and that was it!

Hey everyone! I'm back with another card and video and another fun hop - this time to celebrate Love From Lizi's 1st Birthday in business! There will be GIVEAWAY info at the end of the post as well!
If you didn't start at the beginning of the hop you can find out all the info on the Love from Lizi blog HERE <-----click!
For this hop all the designers in the hop are using the Sizzix Peacock Feather Thinlits wafer die. This die is only available in the UK (where Love From Lizi is located) and as the peacock feather is the LfL logo it was rather fitting!
Here's what I made:
I pulled out some textured AC cardstock from my stash to die cut the peacock feathers from, and also used one of the glitter self-adhesive washi papers from the DCWV stack I'd shown in my last haul video.
I layered the 3 different papers/washi together to create my feathers, and adhered them to a white card base. The sentiment is from MFT and was die cut from 3 pieces of black card stock and adhered together for dimension.
I finished off the card front with 3 different Nuvo Crystal drops added here and there in varying sizes.
I finished off the inside of the card using stamps from MFT's All About You stamp - stamping the large You in 2 colors of ink that I thought went well with the die cut feathers on the front of the card. I show in the video how I got the color variation on the stamp.
And that was my card! To see how it came together check out my video below:

I had the hardest time deciding which projects to share for my post and video but the Halloween goodies won out (of course):
Simon's new If the Hat Fits stamp set is so fun I had to make 2 cards with it instead of just one.
For card #1 I stamped all the hats from the set onto Distress Watercolour paper with SSS Clear Embossing Ink then heat embossed them with a detail white embossing powder. I then went in with several different Distress Inks and a water brush to watercolor in all of the images. I decided after I was done that it needed some splatter (what doesn't?) so rather than just plain water I mixed in some Perfect Pearls powder to make it shimmery. It's subtle on this card but the shimmer is there!
For card #2 I only used one of the hats and fussy cut it after I'd watercolored it, and also added some shimmer to the ribbon band on it. The sentiment from the set I heat embossed onto another piece of Distress watercolour paper then used the Chipped Sapphire Distress ink to paint over it for some emboss resist.
I also used the new Good Reading background stamp on both cards - loving it! On the second card after I'd stamped it I added some more Perfect Pearls splatter for some added shimmer.
For both cards I stamped images and sentiments from the set using SSS Intense black ink then stamped the hats and stars using the same Distress Inks that I'd used to color the card fronts with and that was it!
