It's Friday already?!? This week felt like the LONGEST week ever by Tuesday, then just flew by it seems.
Anywho - I finally have my cards and video ready for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:
Make sure you check out the CTD blog post HERE <-----click! for all the info and to see what the rest of the team created with these colors!
I pulled out the Neat & Tangled Maple Thanks and Oak Leaf stamp sets and coordinating die sets and made a bunch of cards. I started with Distress Inks in the colors that went with the color challenge - and in the end made 8 cards using 4 different ways to use Distress Inks!
For my first 2 cards I heat embossed the leaf images and watercolored them in with the Distress Inks and a water brush.
For my second 2 cards I did the Distress Ink smushing technique, then die cut the dry watercolor paper with the detail leaf dies.
The third set of cards feature Distress Inks applied directly to the embossed images on watercolor paper then sprayed with water.
Finally I die cut and embossed the leaf images then sponged the Distress Inks onto them!
With all the cards I added help twine and Tonic Nuvo drops to finish them off.
And of course all the insides had to be finished as well. I stamped them all with Simon Says Stamp's clear ink then stamped a sentiment with black ink and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
