Happy Wednesday! This week is just FLYING by - and FYI make sure y'all keep checking in b/c I'm going to have SOOOOO many videos and cards and posts going up (and giveaways!) it's gonna be fun and crazy all balled into one LOL.
Here's links to everything I showed/bought/talked about:
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I occasionally receive product for free from stores/manufacturer with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love. Everything else I purchase myself!
Now for the GIVEAWAY. Since I was a dumdum and ordered 2 of the same stamp (that's what happens when I'm late night therapy shopping I guess) one of y'all can benefit from it LOL! Just follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below and I'll mail it out to the random winner when it ends! :) :) :)
It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge (and I'm on time for once!! Woop Woop!!). Check out the CTD blog post HERE<----click! for all the info and to see what the rest of the team created with these colors!
Here's what I created:
Since the inspiration pic is so "back to school" themed to me I pulled out several of Simon Says Stamp's newer products to create my card as they were PERFECT (or puurrrrfect I suppose.....) for this challenge.
I stamped the cat (love his glasses!!) onto Distress Watercolour paper with SSS Intense Black Ink then coloured him in with several Distress Inks and a water brush.
The background was stamped with SSS's Stitched Alphabet set using Green Apple Ink on Green Apple card stock (check out the video to see how EASY it was to stamp that).
The sentiment was a combo of the Script Thanks wafer die and Thank You Teacher stamp set - love that they're the same font so they go together perfectly.
On the inside of the card I stamped another sentiment from the Thank You Teacher stamp set (one of my favourites - it's so true), added a strip of patterned paper and the second cat I'd stamped and coloured in and that was it!

I can't begin to tell y'all how much fun I had making all these cards. If you missed the video for the top two you can check out my previous post here:
Now on to how I made the third card AND a GIVEAWAY (at the end of the post!):
I just had to make a shaker card with all these little MFT Fab-BOO-Lous Friends characters. I showed in the previous post/video how I'd stamped and coloured a bunch of them all at the same time, so I had a full sheet of all the images left to make this card.
I used my Xyron Creative Station Lite for most of the adhesive - the frame and background, and all the images were run through it - making them all stickers essentially. Since I wanted to adhere these images on top of clear acetate/transparency, I found it easier to run them through my Xyron rather than fiddle with applying adhesive to each little image before sticking it on.
I created separate shaker sections for each opening of this MFT Stitched Collage Frame Die-namics die cut with foam tape, then filled each section with sequins in colors to match the background plus some clear stars and clear mixed sequins.
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the Fab-BOO-Lous Friends set and a couple more characters and that was it!

Now for the GIVEAWAY!!!!
The winner of this giveaway will receive the shaker card from me, and Xyron has generously offered up a Creative Station Lite to the winner! Because of shipping restrictions this giveaway is only open to Canadian and USA entires. Follow the steps in the Rafflecopter widget below to be entered in for your chance to win!
Happy Sunday evening now (this is my second post today - if you missed my earlier one you can check it out HERE), I need to get this post finalized for y'all so I can sit and watch the Game of Thrones season finale in peace (but OMG though - have any of y'all been watching it? This season has me losing my mind LOL).
OK back to Halloween cards. I've been having some troll/technical issues lately which really ate into my Halloween card making - but I finally made THREE cards, two of which I'm sharing now and the third I still need to edit and upload (stay tuned for that one b/c there's going to be an even bigger giveaway!).
Here's cards 1 and 2:
I had soooooo much fun making these cards - which is why I ended up making 3 instead of just one! Too many ideas to contain them on just one card.
MFT's Fab-BOO-Lous stamp set is beyond adorable!! I stamped all the images onto Distress watercolour paper with Hero Arts Intense Black ink then coloured them all in with Distress Inks and a water brush.
I sponged Distress inks onto more Distress watercolour paper before splattering them with water then once dry I die cut them with the Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics.
I used Tonic's Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black on both cards - and for once I was SO good at actually letting them fully dry before taking pics or handling them at all. I have a bad tendency to poke at things while they're drying (I know better but I can't help it) and most of the time end up ruining it or needing to fix it somehow.
I finished the inside of the card with another stamped sentiment and a couple of the little ghost characters.
This time I used the Distress Inks to create a watercolored/splattered background, then attached all the ghosts to hemp cord to make them look like balloons. This would be so fun for someone who has a birthday near Halloween :).
I used the same sentiment on the inside and different images and that was it!
To see how these cards came together check out my video below. And if you'd like a chance to win one of these cards check out my giveaway at the bottom of the post!

Now for the GIVEAWAY:
Every Halloween card I post there will be a Rafflecopter widget at the end of the post that you can follow the steps in, a random winner will be chosen via the widget and I'll fill out and mail the card to the winner from each post!
Since there's 2 cards in this post I'll choose 2 winners to each receive a card!
Happy Sunday! I'm SO excited to give y'all a heads up that the latest Ellen Hutson Essentials by Ellen collab for their Untied We Flourish campaign is with Honey Bee Stamps!!
I'll have cards and video to share with y'all later this week using this exclusive set but wanted to get on here and let y'all know about it as well as show all the products that coordinate with this new set. So many of the stamps and dies and new sequins Honey Bee has released lately coordinate PERFECTLY with this new EH set!
There will be a fun blog hop Sept 1st to celebrate this release plus give a ton of inspiration - I can't wait to see what all the other designers created!
Alrighty then - I'm off to get creative and hopefully get some videos edited today (I keep teasing y'all with promises of more Halloween cards - things have been made/filmed - just gotta get it all edited and uploaded!). I hope y'all have a WONDERFUL day! <3
Are y'all having a good weekend so far? I've had some time to get more Halloween cards made (video(s) coming SOON!) and got a chance to film and link up this haul video of stuff that showed up this week:

Happy Friday!!! I hope y'all have fun plans for the weekend!
Like I mention in the video - the idea for this card came when I was in bed (letting my mind wander generally means I'm running through to-do lists and grocery lists and cleaning lists.....typical mom stuff - but there's also card ideas being thought up too LOL) and I HAD to get it made while the idea was fresh.
I've been a tad obsessed with all things rainbow lately, and my Distress Oxide inks never leave my desk (I literally keep them piled up on a corner of my desk) - so using the Oxide inks to create a rainbow of mermaid tails was a no-brainer:
I heat embossed the tails multiple times with white embossing powder onto Bristol Smooth card stock, then sponged on the Distress Oxide Inks.
I popped up all the tails onto the card front with foam dimensionals, added a sentiment stamped in black and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti sequins.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping all the tails in the same Distress Oxide colors then adding another sentiment from the Mermaid's Tail set and that was it!

Hello everyone! I have a minute here to post my card and video that I made for Honey Bee this week using another of their mermaid sets (that I'm just a little obsessed with lately):
I pulled out my Gansai Tambi watercolours (again - I go in phases with colouring mediums. I'll use the same thing multiple times over a few weeks then something else catches my eye and I'll reach for that LOL!) and created a "watery" splattered background. I added some metallic/pearlescent shimmer using my FineTec palette (LOVE that palette - especially the bright brassy gold one - it's gorgeous in real life!!) while the colors were still wet.
The mermaid and fish are from the Honey Bee Under the Sea stamp set. I stamped them onto Bristol Smooth card stock with Hero Arts Intense Black ink then watercolored in the mermaid with the Gansai Tambi watercolours, then used the FineTec palette to color in the fish and to add highlights and details to the mermaid.
I finished off the inside of the card with sentiments from the Honey Bee Swimming By stamp set and added some more fish and that was it!

Well we're halfway through the week already! And as usual I'm late with my cards (but not as late as I sometimes am......) for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:
I pulled out my much-loved Mama Elephant Botanic Hello stamp set - I reach for this one alllllll the time it seems!
I couldn't just make one card as I was curios to see how it would look with silver embossing vs white embossing the image - so of course I did both!
On card number 1 I heat embossed the image with Nuvo's Classic Silver embossing powder.
For my second card I used my Hero Arts white embossing powder.
For both cards I watercolored the image with a mix of Distress Inks and my Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors watercolors and my FineTec Pearlescent Colors palette.
I finished off the insides of both cards using the Mama Elephant Hello Friend Wishes set and that was it!

Well hello everyone! This post was supposed to go up yesterday but Monday decided to be a Monday and I had so many technical issues and other random issues that I spent the entire day putting out fires.
However - today is a new day and things seem to be working properly so here's the card and video:
I was in the mood to create something in rainbow colors, so I pulled out a bunch of my SSS card stocks and their new Best Ever stamp set. I then came across the Heart Sprinkle Wreath wafer die from SSS and thought they'd go perfect together!
I used the rainbow of card stock colors to back the Heart Sprinkle Wreath. I wasn't originally going to use the stamped Diagonal Stripes background but I had one piece of it left and I really liked how the black and white made the rainbow pop (plus everything on the diagonal is going in the same direction - not intended originally but sometimes things work out that well LOL).
I stamped the rainbow and clouds onto Bristol Smooth card stock with SSS Intense Black ink then coloured them in with my Clean Color Real Brush markers and a water brush. Once dry I coated them with my Spectrum Noir Clear glitter brush - when the light hits the sparkle it's SO pretty in real life!
I stamped the rainbow again on the inside of the card and coloured it the same way and added a couple of sentiments from the Best Ever set and that was it!

Hello everyone! I've had this Lawn Fawn Love Ya Bunches stamp set sitting front and centre on my desk ever since I showed it to y'all in this haul video. It's exclusive to Ellen Hutson as part of their United We Flourish campaign. I had to add it to my Lawn Fawn collection LOL - but I did want to actually ink it up and use it so I made 2 different cards with it:
I decided to create 2 completely different "scenes" for these cards - one using several different Lawn Cuts die sets and the other using Distress Oxides to create a watercolored/splattered background.
I started off by stamping most of the images in the set onto Neenah 80lb Solar White card stock with Hero Arts Intense Black ink then colouring them in with Copic markers.
For my first card I created my scene by die cutting several different colors of card stock using the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait set (and the leaf die from the Landscape set) along with the sun and clouds from the Spring Showers set.
For my second card I created a watercolored background using Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks. I added a die cut sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello Lawn Cuts and attached the vine and monkeys to look like they were swinging off of it.
I finished off the insides of both cards with more images and sentiments from the Love Ya Bunches set and that was it!

It's Friday! Yay! Still crazy to believe that summer is almost over though - it just flew by.
I was itching to play around with my Gansai Tambi watercolours and create some more galaxy backgrounds - so that's exactly what I did:
I ended up creating 2 different galaxy backgrounds using al the same supplies - the only difference being the one on the left I used warm colors underneath (pink, yellow and orange) and the one on the right I used cool colors (purple, blue and green).
I am just loving MFT's new Written in the Stars stamp set and Shining Stars Die-namics set - LOVE the font of the large star words!!
I die cut the large sentiment from some gold glitter paper and stacked it with white card stock die cuts to give it some dimension. The Shining Stars Die-namics set also has some little star dies in the set so I die cut those as well and adhered them to the card.
You can see on both backgrounds where I added some shimmer metallic watercolours with the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors set to the back watercolor. That addition turned out even better than I hoped it would - it spread out when I added it and in real life adds some gorgeous shimmer!
I finished off the insides of the cards with stamped and embossed sentiments from the Written in the Stars stamp set, and on the second card I stamped the large Stars word with Versamark ink then brushed on Perfect Pearls powder in Perfect Pearl - so it has a silvery shimmery look. I then adhered the remaining die cut stars and that was it!

Heeeeyyyyyy everyone! SO excited to start my 2017 Halloween Card Series!!! Just an FYI that these videos will be random throughout the coming weeks - I can't stick to a schedule to save my life (what else is new). Also make sure to stay tuned to the end of the post for the GIVEAWAY info.
Here's my first card:
I decided to pull out one of my older stamp sets to make this card - Simon Says Stamp's Hey Pumpkin set. This has been one of my favourite Halloween sets for years now.
I decided to do a one-layer card and experiment with some watercolor, so I pulled out Arches cold press watercolour paper to make my card base, and Mission Gold watercolours to color it all in.
After all the watercolor was dry I added some gloss and shimmer to the pumpkin by coating it with my Pico Shimmer Embellisher. I then added some Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Confetti Stars, and added some gloss to the cat's eyes with my Sakura Black Glaze pen.
I kept the inside of the card simple and stamped the cat with SSS Orange Slush ink then stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment from the set in black and that was it!

I had asked y'all on my Facebook Page and Instagram if anyone would be interested if I were to do giveaways of the Halloween cards as I post them. I was overwhelmed by the positive response (you guys are amazing) - so that's what I'm going to do! Every Halloween card I post there will be a Rafflecopter widget at the end of the post that you can follow the steps in, a random winner will be chosen and I'll fill out and mail the card to the winner from each post!
Hello hello everyone! It feels like I JUST posted a Color Throwdown card (well I technically did - b/c I was way late last week) - and it's time already for a new combo:
Click HERE <------click! to head on over to the CTD blog to see what the rest of the team created - and play along too if you'd like! :)
Here's what I made:
I've been wanting to play with the MFT Shaker Flower Die-namics again for weeks now - and these bright and fun colors seemed fitting!
I decided to use the Gansai Tambi Pearl colors to watercolor all the die cut pieces, including the sentiment. So everything has a pearly/shimmery sheen to it - SO pretty in real life!
The die cut "celebrate" was made from MFT Gravel Grey card stock, and I painted it with the white pearl Gansai Tambi watercolor - the combo creates this pretty pewter look (insert heart eyes emoji here LOL!).
I kept the inside of the card simple by stamping a sentiment from the Handwritten Happiness stamp set with Gravel Grey ink, splattered the pink and yellow pearl watercolours, then adhered a couple of extra die cut leaves and that was it!

Anyone who's followed me her for some time knows I have a serious soft spot for all things Doodlebug - so of course this kit is PERFECT to me LOL!
I used the balloon tag and balloon shaker that came in the kit and created this card focusing on the shaker tag. I show in the video several different sequin mixes that I have in my stash that would so well with this kit - I've linked to them below.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Best Ever stamp set along the top of the balloon opening, then stamped the heart border image on the lower portion of the tag.
I finished off the inside of the card by stamping the heart border along the bottom, then adding another sentiment and trimming a couple of the patterned papers into decorative strips and that was it!
