It's Saturday already? I feel like I just can't ever catch up to everything lol. However I did finally get a chance to create a couple of cards with some of the new SSS Cherished release (if you missed my review of it you can find that HERE):
The first thing I wanted to do when I saw all the stamps and dies is watercolour with the new Summer Flowers stamp set. After I did this card using SSS Barely Beige ink to stamp the outlines before watercoloring them I wanted to try that again, and thought while I was at it to stamp the image with black ink to do the same and compare.
Like I mention in the video I'd like to try stamping images in some of SSS's other ink colors before watercoloring them (as all their dye inks are waterproof - so you can stamp and then color over them and the lines won't smear or bleed) - because after doing this one I think the sunflower itself would have looked even better had I stamped it in yellow!
I do like how the black pops more, and it really is a lot faster and easier to color in LOL. I'm all about convenience ;)
I finished off the insides of the cards by stamping the sunflowers with the Barely Beige ink then stamped sentiments from the new Thoughtful Messages set with Intense Black ink and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
Items marked with an asterisk (*) have been sent by a store/manufacturer (with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love). Everything else I purchase myself!
