Neat & Tangled Cottontail Cuties | Copics | AmyR 2017 Easter Card Series #7

Hellloooo everyone! This week has just been getting crazier and crazier for me - however I FINALLY got my cards made for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge:

I decided to squeeze in a couple more Easter cards before the weekend is upon us:

These are 4-Bar (3 1/2 x 4 7/8") Sized Note Cards

I absolutely LOVE the Neat & Tangled Cottontail Cuties stamp set. I finally got my hands on it (b/c I hesitated the first time and it sold out - story of my crafting life LOL) not too long ago and wanted to make a point of using it!

I stamped the images onto Neenah Solar White 80 card stock with SSS Intense Black Ink and coloured them in with Copic markers. It's hard to tell in the pictures but I went over some of the areas with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay brush pen and added some white dots and highlights with a white gel pen.

To get the soft backgrounds I made my card bases from Bristol Smooth card stock and sponged Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink onto it (it went on like a dream - so smooth and perfect LOL - if you've ever struggled with sponging inks I HIGHLY recommend trying it on Bristol Smooth). I splattered on a little water after sponging the ink to get a little texture.

I sponged the ink onto the bottom insides of both cards, stamped sentiments from the same Cottontail Cutie stamp set and added the remaining stamped and coloured images and that was it!

SSS Some Bunny | Distress Ink Watercolor | AmyR 2017 Easter Card Series #6

It's Tuesday! And I have another card and video for y'all! I was in the mood to do some watercoloring last night so I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Some Bunny stamp set and created an entire panel with the images for me to watercolour:

I used a whole bunch of Distress Inks to watercolour in all these images and the background. It was therapeutic to just sit down and spend some time adding color to everything. Of course I had to do some water splattering and some white paint splattering to it all after it was done because that's half the fun too LOL.

I just LOVE these itty bitty little googly eyes that I was gushing about in a recent haul video. They are SO tiny - and perfect for something like this. They add a goofy look yet aren't immediately obvious when you're looking at the card.

I kept the inside of the card really simple - just a stamped sentiment from the same set that I heat embossed on black card stock like the front. I like how it looks against the white card stock ;) :).

PPP Easter Friends Tags | Copics | AmyR 2017 Easter Card Series #5

Ahhhhh Monday - not my favourite day of the week, but I made some really cute tags today so that's something LOL!

I pulled out the Pretty Pink Posh Easter Friends stamp set and dies that I got not too long ago, and intended to make a couple of cards with them. I instead made these tags with them (and it all just so happens to work out perfectly that I can attach them to some Easter goodies for my kids this weekend).

I stamped all the images from the set onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock with SSS Intense Black ink then coloured them all in with Copics. You can't tell in the pics but I added some shimmer with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen (you can see it in the video though).

I used a white gel pen to add the polka dots to the little girls dress. The grass and clouds were created using Lawn Fawn die sets (linked below) and the tags themselves were created with SSS's Large Tags dies.

I popped up all the main images with foam tape just to give them all some extra dimension, and added Doodletwine to all the tags in different colors.

I used Doodlebugs Easter Express patterned paper on the back of all the tags and stamped the Happy Easter sentiment from the Easter Friends stamp set onto them and that was it!

Mama Elephant Bunny Bags | AmyR 2017 Easter Card Series #4

Hello everyone! I had SO much fun making these Bunny treat bags today:

I used two different Mama Elephant die sets to create the treat bags and the Gable Box. Both create a good sized treat bag/box which I really like.

And of course I used the Favor Bag Accessory - Bunny die set to make these into Easter-themed treat bags.

I used Echo Park's Easter Vellum Dots for all the bags and the Gable Box. It's a really sturdy, heavyweight vellum so it's perfect for something like this in my opinion. I used red-line adhesive to adhere all the bags and box together as it's a good strong adhesive - I know some people don't like that kind b/c the release film gets everywhere as it's static-y and you have to cut it (which I agree with LOL). I've linked to scor-tape in the supplies as well as the red-line tape which holds just as well and is easier to use as you can just tear it and it peels off nicely too.

I kept these all fairly simple since I wanted to make 4 of them to put some little treats in for my munchkins next weekend. Considering how easily and quickly they came together I don't think it would be much more time and effort to jazz them up some more if a person wanted to!

SSS Some Bunny Special | Distress Ink Watercolor | AmyR 2017 Easter Card Series #3

Happy Friday (again!) everyone! I have a second post for y'all today - this time to share some cards I made with the SSS Some Bunny Special stamp set:

I couldn't decide on which bunnies to use from the set as they're all so cute - so I decided to make 3 cards and use all the images LOL!

I used Distress Inks and a paintbrush to watercolour in all the images that I'd stamped onto some Ranger watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I drew in the grass detail on the cards with my Copic Multiliner - it's waterproof and it tends to "match" images like this really well so that it all looks a little more seamless. The Pilot Envelope Addressing pen that I am really liking lately I prefer more for enhancing things like eyes and whatnot - I dotted it on the eyes of the bunnies in the cards above and it really made them stand out a little more.

All the patterned paper I used is from the Doodlebug Easter Express 6x6 pack - I kept these cards fairly simple and die cut the patterned paper and the watercolour panels with SSS's Stitched Rectangles dies then added sentiments I'd heat embossed onto SSS Slate card stock.

I finished off the insides of all the cards with the remaining patterned papers and the fourth stamped and watercolored bunnies and that was it!

Honey Bee Stamps Hooray Card | Distress Oxide Inks | GIVEAWAY!

Hello everyone! I'm really excited to be a Guest Designer for Honey Bee Stamps today!

I received their new Hooray stamps and dies as well as their Celebration Box and dies not too long ago - and combined all of them to make this card:

I heat embossed the balloons from the Celebration Box stamp set onto white card stock with detail white embossing powder, then sponged several of the new Distress Oxide inks over them. After I was done sponging the ink I sprayed them all with water, let the inks react then wicked it all away with a paper towel.

I did the same method for the box - sponged ink onto the card stock, sprayed with water then pressed with a paper towel. I then used the dies from the Celebration Box set to create the box and the flaps (LOVE that those are included in the set - just makes for a fun element). I also used the coordinating balloon dies to die cut all the balloons.

I attached white thread to all the balloons and slipped all the ends of the threads "inside" the box via the nifty slit the die cuts in it - so they all look like they're floating out of the open box.

The sentiment was die cut from white card stock, with the "bubble" portion being cut from vellum.

I finished off the inside of the card by adding some more balloons (this time stamping the strings with black ink), and stamping a sentiment from the Hooray stamp set. I used all the same Distress Oxide inks to ink up the word 'birthday' before stamping it inside the card and that was it!

SSS In Full Bloom | Gansai Tambi Watercolors | Color Throwdown 437

Hello everyone! I've been SUPER-busy lately - lots of things going on but also lots of creating and filming so I'm hoping to be sharing a bunch of videos with y'all this week!

For this post it's the newest Color Throwdown Challenge:

I went pretty obvious with my card LOL:

I used another of the Simon Says Stamp In Full Bloom pre-printed watercolour panels for this card - the tulips one was a rather obvious choice ;). I pulled out my Gansai Tambi watercolours to color in the image - I haven't used them in some time and was in the mood to play with them again!

My card base is a SSS 120lb pre-cut and pre-scored note card. I sponged Broken Chine Distress Oxide ink onto the card base, did the whole spray with water and press with a paper towel, then once it was dry stamped a sentiment from the SSS Loving Heart stamp set.

The flowers were trimmed out then adhered with foam tape and I couldn't resist adding several Studio Katia Sparkling Crystals to finish it off.

I stamped another sentiment from the Loving Heart set onto the inside of the card, and stamped some of the hearts from the same set with the Broken China Distress Oxide ink and that was it!
