SSS Funny Food Tags | Distress Oxide Ink | Copics

I sat down last night and had some fun colouring with my Copics. I am happy to let y'all know I'm starting to feel better (FINALLY), but in the evenings I generally feel worse - and trying to lay down when your head feels like it's full of cotton is no fun. SO - I stayed up for a bit and coloured:

This Funny Food set from Simon Says Stamp has been begging me to be inked up and coloured. These images are beyond adorable and I love all the punny little sentiments that go along with them!

I ended up making them all into tags today:

While I was at it I dabbled my toe in the whole new and exciting world that is the Distress Oxide Inks. I used the Broken China ink on all these tags, and while it wasn't much playing, and not much effort, I can say I'm already in love with these inks LOL!

I used a lot of Copics - thought not a whole lot on each image.

I added highlights to all the coloured images with a white gel pen, and went over their little eyes and smiles with the (new-to-me) Pilot Envelope Addressing pen (WHERE has that thing been my whole paper crafting life? Seriously now...).

SSS Thankful | Mission Gold Watercolors | Color Throwdown Challenge 436

Still struggling with this cold, and then technical issues trying to get this video uploaded - but success!

Here's what I made:

I used one of the new pre-printed watercolour panels I got from SSS and just showed in my last post, and used my Mission Gold watercolours to color them in.

The Thankful die is from SSS and was backed with vellum then I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle overlay to it as well as to the flowers for some shimmer. SO hard to get pics of that but it showed up well in the video!

I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the SSS Thankful Heart stamp set and that was it!

SSS Artsy Flower Parts | Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

Hello everyone! I am still battling this rotten cold, and yet being more productive than ever - go figure. I think it's just my way of distracting myself from how awful I'm feeling LOL - that and I really have a ton to do (don't I always? Single moms know how it is!!). That and regardless of how I feel - I ALWAYS feel better when I'm making cards:

This is a 4-Bar Sized Card

I thought making a get well soon card was rather apt today - so that's what I did. I pulled out the new Simon Says Stamp Artsy Flower Parts stamp set and dies as I've been wanting to heat emboss the line images and watercolour them ever since I got the set.

I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and had stamped the images onto Strathmore Ready Cut Cold Press watercolour paper (honestly this watercolour paper works just as well as the Canson XL which is my favourite with the Zigs - so either/or works in my opinion).

I did some sponging with Pumice Stone Distress Ink on the background, and some water splattering over that to create the textured look. The sentiment is from the new SSS Handlettered Encouragement stamp set (that I LOVE) and was heat embossed onto black card stock.

I finished off the inside of the card with another sentiment from the Hand Lettered Encouragement stamp set and one of the stamped and watercolored images and that was it!

Lawn Fawn How You Bean? Shaker Card | Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I decided to hop along for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, which you can check out HERE <------click! if you'd like to play along or just check out all the other fabulous entries!

AND while I was at it I decided to make my card with Lawn Fawn goodies b/c 1 - I ordered a TON of it recently (understatement LOL) and 2 - they now have an official Lawn Fawnatics blog <-----click! that will have challenges and whatnot.

So here's what I made:

I decided to use the new How You Bean? stamp set and coordinating die sets along with my old favourite Love You a Latte stamp set and dies. The idea popped in my head to make a shaker jar with coffee beans in it, and then I pulled out the LF Perfectly Plaid Fall 6x6 papers and the card just came together.

The images were stamped onto Bristol smooth card stock with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink then coloured in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a water brush.

To make the coffee bean shaker I head embossed the little coffee bean stamp from the Love You a Latte set onto brown card stock with clear embossing powder then die cut them with the coordinating die. For a little added shaker goodness I added some Pretty Pink Posh Espresso 4mm sequins (meant to be! lol).

I finished off the inside of the card with a Happy Birthday sentiment (from the How You Bean? set) and a couple more to-go cups and that was it!

MFT Lock & Key Shaker Card

Hello everyone!! I've had the No Place Like Home Card Kit from MFT sitting here since I bought it (it's still available as of posting this by the way - so I linked to it in the supplies), and sat down yesterday to make a card with it.

In the end I used one of the die sets and stamp set, but went a totally different direction and used some patterned paper I've been hoarding for some time now:

I decided to create a shaker card using the Lock & Key Die-namics along with this MME Yes, Please patterned paper pack. The gold foil on these papers was too much to resist! 

I heat embossed the sentiment from the No Place Like Home stamp set with gold embossing powder. 

On the inside of the card I stamped another sentiment from the same set, then adhered 2 of the die cut keys that I'd die cut from a scrap of the foil paper in the pack and that was it!

C9 Hello Lovely | Tombow Markers | Color Throwdown 435

It's late here but I would have been on time if I hadn't run into technical difficulties! Me and my excuses....

Anywho - this week's Color Throwdown challenge is a great one:

Here's what I made:

I HAD to use the Hello Lovely stamp set from Concord & 9th again - just had to! After I posted my previous card using it I was dying to ink it up again and do some watercoloring with it. So I did :).

I heat embossed the image onto Canson XL watercolour paper with detail white embossing powder then used 3 Tombow markers (4 if you include the grey marker I used to add a little bit of shading around the outside of the image) to watercolour in the image.

The die cut sentiment is from Mama Elephant, I watercolored a scrap of the same Canson XL watercolour paper and blue marker I used on the floral image. I also added a tiny bit of shimmer to the die cut sentiment and to add the splatter with my Prima Metallic watercolour set. 

As a finishing touch I added some Studio Katia Sparkling Crystals to the image - they look more round in the photo here but in real life they have a flat top and look like flat backed rhinestones. SOOOOOO pretty.

I kept the inside of the card simple and just stamped the floral image again with Versamark ink and that was it!

SSS Wild Cuddly Critters Action Wobble Card | Copic Markers

Hello everyone! I got some time to play with the new Simon Says Stamp April card kit yesterday, and couldn't wait to make a fun little action card with it:

I used the elephant from the Wild Cuddly Critters stamp set that comes in the kit (and is available on it's own as well - I have links to everything at the end of this post) and stamped it onto Neenah 80lb Solar White card stock with SSS Intense Black Ink then coloured it in with my Copics.

I popped the elephant up with a Mini Action Wobble so that he bounces around on the card when you flick your finger against it. Of course I had to add some googly eyes to it as well - it was too cute to resist LOL!

I finished off the inside of the card with a second stamped and coloured elephant and some more hearts and that was it!
