August 2016 Happy Mail Haul | Cards from You!

Hello everyone! Things have been a little crazy this past month and I've had a ton of "extra" to deal with - but I am SO looking forward to September and all the new and exciting things the kids and I have going on!

So here's the cards y'all sent for last month - and like I said in the video it's like a "memo" went out about protecting your cards b/c ALL of them had some serious extra padding/packaging - I am impressed - and they all showed up pristine :).

Due to popular request we're going to try out having themes for future months - and as I said in the video I'm not a huge stickler on late cards and whatnot b/c mail can sometimes take longer to get here and I just enjoy sharing what y'all send!

September Theme: Halloween! 

(since this will be filmed at end of September so I thought it would be fun to do Halloween-themed cards to share with everyone)

October Theme: Nature/Fall

November Theme: Christmas/Holiday

SSS STAMPtember Hydrangea Blooms | Distress Ink Watercolor

Happy September 1st! Not only day ONE of Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember release (as in there will be MORE throughout the month!) but it's my oldest kids first day of school as well! It's been a crazy day already as was yesterday hence my later-than-planned post with video!

I used the new Hydrangea Blooms stamp set to make my first card for this release:

I stamped the images onto Distress watercolour card stock with Versafine Onyx Black ink then watercolored them and the background with Distress Inks.

I created the sentiment with a stamped one from the same set and the Painted Hugs die from SSS that I LOVE - I just love all their painted sentiment dies.

Of course I added a bunch of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Mix sequins too b/c I'm addicted ;).

I finished off the inside with the remaining sentiment from the set and stamped the individual flower images with the same Distress inks and that was it!
