Happy Friday!!! Like I said in my previous post - it's been a rather crazy week for me, and I wasn't feeling too great for most of it. However I'm feeling fine now (thanks for the feel-well-wishes!) and it's Friday and life is good :) :) :).
AND - I finally dived in to the SSS order I've had sitting here for too long now - usually I dive into my orders ASAP to share them with y'all but this one has sat neglected all week. Now that I've filmed it for you guys I can't wait to actually start using it all (can anyone guess what my weekend plans are? LOL).
Also - I mentioned in the video the announcement Clearly Besotted made - head on over to their blog post HERE for all that info! From what I understand while you won't be able to order directly from the Clearly Besotted site as of October 1st, Simon Says Stamp will continue to stock and re-stock their products through the rest of the year.
Hey all! I gotta say - it becomes REALLY obvious that I'm not feeling well when new stamping goodies show up and I don't have the energy to so much as film the haul video to share it with y'all let alone actually start using it all. This one from ScrapNStamp has been sitting here all week so far, and another order from SSS has shown up and has been sitting too (insert wide eyed emoji here lol).
But anyway - that's one of the realities of working from home and this being my job. It all takes a backseat when I'm not feeling well and need to make sure the kids are being taken care of first! Thankfully this was short-lived - I'm feeling better and can now start bombarding y'all with haul videos and card videos and all that fun stuff again!
SO - back to the haul. As I said in the video - and in my last haul from them - ScrapNStamp is based in Canada. So for all my fellow Canadian followers you guys can check them out for Lawn Fawn, MFT, Hero Arts, Tim Holtz - etc etc. They ship super fast (and package it all up so nicely - always a great perk) and if your order is over $100 the shipping is free (which again any fellow Canadian knows that shipping in Canada is ridiculously expensive - so I always like getting free shipping when I can LOL!).
ScrapNStamp only ships within Canada - hence me also linking to Simon Says Stamp since the vast majority of my audience is in the US. I do what I can to link to as many options and whatnot as possible! :)
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favourite Things, SnS = Scrap N Stamp (Canada) etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!

Hey everyone! I haven't been feeling too great the last couple of days, and dragging myself after the 4 munchkins has taken all my energy - hence me being WAY late with my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.
Rather than just make a simple card I did a bunch of watercoloring and layering and playing around - I've had the general idea for this card for almost a week now - so I just went with it rather than attempt to come up with something new LOL.
I used the Simon Says Stamp Hydrangea Blooms stamp set along with the You Matter combo - I've been meaning to combine all these together ever since I got the bundle a couple of weeks ago (so this card has been in the back of my mind for a while now).
I heat embossed the background and the flowers with detail white embossing powder then used my Mission Gold watercolours to color them all in. I combined that with watercolour die cut leaves and vellum and an ombre sponged die cut sentiment and sequins of course!
After putting so much on the outside of the card I kept the inside simple with another watercolour hydrangea and that was it!

Just a quick heads up that MFT's SALE on Birdie Brown <-------click! is limited to stock on hand so I don't think it will last 'till the 28th!! I adore the Birdie Brown line - some of my favourites are in there! :) :) :)
Hello everyone! I FINALLY got a chance to participate in one of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hops - these hops are HUGE and have a ton of sponsors and people participating in them!
I had to pull out the Echo Park Fall Is In the Air 6x6 pack again - I am REALLY feeling all things fall (I even went way out of my way today to redeem my star reward and get a free Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks (so that cancelled the "going out of my way" part right?) which I THOROUGHLY enjoyed) and want to make all the fall-themed cards possible lately. Combining fall colours and coffee-themed anything just makes me happy :).
I combined said papers with the Create A Smile Coffee First stamp set - such a cute set and I adore the font of the word coffee. Embossing it with gold embossing powder made it even more fabulous IMO.
I used Copics to color in the mugs and did a bunch of paper piecing on them which I haven't done in forever. Paper piecing used to really be my "thing" back in the day. Now that I did it here who knows maybe y'all will see it more frequently from me again! ;)
I LOVE that little chipboard embellishment - I think I said it was wood in the video - but it's not. It's chipboard that LOOKS like wood - and is insanely light-weight. Their little embellishments are SO cool. I've been hoarding this little pack for months now.
I kept the inside pretty clean and simple and that was it!

Hello everyone! I hope y'all had a great weekend! I've got another Halloween video to share with y'all - this one using a cute mini Lawn Fawn set to create some mini shaker cards:
I used the Lawn Fawn Trick or Treat mini stamp set and coordinating die set for these cards. Even as shakers all 3 took a surprisingly short amount of time to make - and turned out so cute!
These are all 3x3" mini cards - I thought they'd be cute to tuck into the kids lunches with some mini Halloween treats :).
I stamped all the images onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card stock with SSS Intense Black ink and coloured them in with Copics.
To make the shaker parts I die set a frame with MFT's Single Stitch Circle Frame Die-namics, backed that with a die cut circle transparency then added 2 layers of foam tape.
The sequin mix is one I got (and was hoarding LOL) a little while ago by Little Things by Lucy's Cards - I have a link to it at SSS (and it was restocked last time I checked! After I showed it in my haul video it was sold out (or sold out before that) but it showed back in stock as of my typing up this post!). I added sone little Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the shakers as well b/c I thought they made a good "filler" - that and I've started having fun making shaker "sequin cocktails" lately as I like to call it LOL!
I stamped the Trick or Treat sentiment that comes with the set onto the inside of the cards then added the remaining images and that was it!

Hey all! Just a quick review of the new Johanna Bamford planner I picked up the other day - I had to film it to show y'all before I actually started using it (why I have that weird little quirk I don't know).
I tried to remember linking to everything - I added links to the colouring books as well because they are fabulous and there are NEW ones (Magical Jungle and Johanna's Christmas) as well as new Artist ones (those are printed on watercolour paper and meant for framing - I have the Secret Garden one and it's really nice).
OK that's it from me tonight - have a great Friday night if you're reading this early, and a great weekend if not! :)
Hey everyone! Just a heads up for those that don't follow me on Facebook (which y'all should if you can - I post all the time-sensitive sales and whatnot on there as so many people only check my blog when they get their subscription e-mail and more often than not by then it's too late!) here's the latest MFT sale info!
Head on over to their Outdoors category <----click! then fill up your cart and use the code OUTDOORS to get 25% off!
Lots of my favourites are in there - which I've linked to a few below. Click on my link above to see everything in the category! :)

Hey everyone! I was up way too late last night - but the creativity was flowing and I wanted to get this card made. Let's just say I was very thankful for coffee today ;) ;).
I was totally inspired by Shari Carrols card HERE <------click! I said in the video I wasn't sure if it was Shari or Debbi Hughes that made the card (they both make fabulous cards - I'm always being inspired by them!) - but I did a little more searching and found the actual blog post. I LOVED the card Shari made - so here's my interpretation of it with a Halloween twist!
I used SSS's Big Numbers stamp set and heat embossed the 3 and the 1 multiple times onto Distress watercolour card stock with detail white embossing powder. I then added a bunch of ink splatters over the numbers with several Distress inks and the heat embossed numbers resisted the ink - giving this cool look!
I used an older SSS die set for the Halloween word, and adhered that over a vellum banner so that it would stand out more over all the busyness off the numbers and splatters.
I kept the inside super clean and simple and that was it!

Hello everyone! This is my 3rd post for today - if you missed the previous 2 make sure to check them out! You can find them by scrolling down below or HERE and HERE.
I honestly was planning on making a floral-themed card (as usual) with this combo - but with me being all about the Halloween series lately I had to make a halloween card.
I decided to create a fun sponged background with my Distress inks, and got a chance to do some splattering so of course I did that.
I had some fun with an older Die-namics set from MFT - the Spooky House Die-namics is PERFECT for Halloween - and makes a quick and easy scene.
I decided to adhere the house on TOP of the clear transparency, and also decided to cover it with Spectrum Noir's Black Onyx Sparkle Brush Pen - SO insanely glittery - it's just fabulous!
I finished off the inside with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment and a few more ghosties and that was it!

They pack their kits with stamps and dies and all the card stock and whatnot so you can make a TON with one of their kits. They're at a heftier price than most card making kits on the market - but worth it - usually a good percentage off the price of ordering the items individually (which they do at a later date from each kit. All the info is in the link above).
Also if you're not aware - their kits have been selling out in HOURS (last month's sold out in 12 I think? Something like that) and this one I'm sure will follow suit! So grab it while you can!!
Hey everyone! I'm running around like a crazy person today trying to get a million things done at once! I wanted to share these cards and video with y'all though now that it's all uploaded (and I'll have another Halloween card up later on tonight so be sure to check back!).
I stayed up later than usual last night because the latest Simon Says Stamp October 2016 Card Kit was calling my name and I couldn't resist pulling it out and creating something with it!
In the end I made a couple of cards using several parts of the kit along with a few other things (dies and Distress inks and some kraft card stock) here in my stash.
I created a wreath with several images from the Nutty Over You stamp set and distress inks, and had stamped the squirrel image with distress ink onto kraft card stock which I then cut out and adhered over it. Those little acorn stickers that come in the kit are beyond adorable - and so realistic looking!
I don't know how well it shows in the pics and video but I used my teflon bone folder and scoring board to create diagonal embossed lines on the SSS Burnt Orange card stock - it just gave it that extra something - and I was totally inspired by the patterned paper to do it!
I finished off the insides with images and a sentiment from the set and added a bit of the leftover patterned papers from what I'd used on the card fronts and that was it!

Hello everyone! I have another Halloween card to share with y'all for my AmyR 2016 Halloween Card Series!
This time I decided to create a clean and simple one layer card using the Reverse Confetti Too Cute to Spook stamp set.
I used my Polychromos color pencils to color in all the images after I'd stamped them with SSS Intense Black ink onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card stock. I blended out the pencil lines with Gambol (artist grade odourless mineral spirits) and a blending stump - super quick and easy colouring today!
It was hard to capture in a photo - but I coated the skulls, bat, witch's hat and pumpkin with Spectrum Noir's Clear Overlay Sparkle brush pen - so it's all shimmery. I also added little dots of Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops to the eyes of all the images to give them a glossy raised look.
I stamped more of the images and a sentiment on the inside of the card and added a couple more die cut banners and that was it!

This kit is separate from their monthly card kit subscription - it's a separate purchase and is limited edition! I just ordered mine and can't wait for it to get here.
You can check out the kit HERE <------click! It just went live in the last little bit, so when the stamp set and whatnot are available individually I'll update this post with all the links! :) :) :)
